First of all any one who gives this less than a 9 is a moron and doesnt Know what they are talking about. Great graphics great sound great game!!! multiplayer is as addictive as ever. co-op mode is a great addition. The implementation of vehicles was brilliant. buy it, play it, love it, its agreat game and is definately worth it. Oh, and the playstation two sucks majorly!! :)

This may well be the best title available for the XBox but there is still room for improvement.
One obvious omission is three and four player cooperative modes. Even the N64 had software (Hexen) with this ability. Not everyone is a fragging death-match lover.
What about the putrid, pus-filled alien parasites. They were challenging all right. The same way a boring, dead end, minimum wage job is challenging. Just something to be tolerated to reach the next level. Of course it is the science fiction-horror aspect of the flood that gave the game its Mature rating. This lack of Everyone rated titles has caused the MS consoles to remain in inventory while every retailer sold out of the little purple cubes.
As the flagship title this program did little to sell the console to other than the most avid gamers. These enthusiasts do not buy enough consoles to warrant their continued production. Therefore Halo does little to ensure the continued survival of the black and green box.

I'd give this game a definite 10/10 becuase the graphics are good the gameplay is good and multiplayer with 16 peeps is outrages, its even funner to hit the warthog with 16 rockets at once!

This game includes all of the elements needed for an action/adventure game. One of the best parts of this game is the plot, the plot is very interesting and is easy to understand. This is the best plot I have ever seen in a video game. Mix the plot and the awsome graphics together and you have HALO, the best game ever. You can also play co-op halo and beat the game with a friend or you can play 16 player multiplayer. I have only played 8 player halo and it was all I wanted to do that weekend. This is the game that makes the XBOX worth getting. Get this game and get eye drops because you'll be playing so much you will get bloodshot eyes.

Anyone that likes action/ scifi games will agree that this game is above all others. If you are smart and bought an Xbox you were probly smart enough to by this game! If you are still in the dark or going to by an xbox halo should be your first #1 game. This game called game of the year by many respectable magazines lives up to its reputation. I give it a ten for graphics; a ten for its dolby sound; a ten for gameplay; a ten for controls; and a ten for fun factor. This game will never bore you. You'll always come back for more. and also coming in a couple of months is halo 2. So if you already beat the game and saw both endings you'll be dying for the next game.

Everyone agrees Bungie deserves a giant hand pat on the back. This game is everything that everyone wanted. They put a whole new meaning to the word Halo. 4-way multiplayer games are awesome. Nothing brings friends together or rips them apart like a round of Slayer. Thanx Bungie, keep'em comin'.

This game is so cool and it has everything a 14-year old or a 80-year old could want. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this game and it kicks butt. The story line is excellent and the graphics are just amazing whethere it's the ships or the fast amounts of space. You can also pick up the guns of your fallen commrades or the aliens you've just killed. If you can't dish out 50.00 bucks than try real hard to get it or go rent it somewhere. This game makes every other shooter game look like "Malibu Stacy goes hunting". And once you start playing this game you get addicted. So far my friend and I played the game for 4 hours straight and had to turn the xbox off because it was getting a little hot. This game should not be undermined and this game should get another game of the year award!

halo is awsome whoever thinks it stinks must be insane it has awsome multiplayer mode it has so many guns plus 2 unlockable guns and you dont need bashee in multiplayer mode to make it good you can make so many games for it and there are so many games you can pick to play i say halo is the best game ever made thank you bungie you rock.

This outstands any other shooting game i've ever played! The graphics are mouthdropping. It even has better graphics than Final Fantasy 10!! You will never get bored of this game because it is so AWESOME!! If you think this game is fun just wait till Halo 2:The Trailers of Fear comes out for the X-Box only!! if it would let me put more stars on my rating i would.....thanks for reading.....and have fun

This game is the reason why you buy an Xbox. I think the designers but a lot of thime into this game and they made it perfect. When I was playing it I found a couple of glitches which were really cool. They were on Halo and they enabled you to go into the background with strange trees and waterfalls that are in 2D. Great work to the deigners. You made a masterpiece.

I have never played a game as good as Halo, huge levels, outstanding graphics and High Quality sound. This game never becomes frustrating and can be played over and over. A twist in the middle(sorry if you haven't got that far) re-invents the action. On the higher difficulties it is more fun than on easy. Again the best game I have evere played, cool aliens, cool guns and amazing vehicles. I can't wait for Halo 2.

Having finally finished halo, I can safely say that there is a god and he has sent an angel down to us in the form of a bunch of guys over at Bungie. I say this because only God could design a game this perfect where every single little thing is just right. The AI is great and it makes you want to start blurting the F-word to every little alien you see. Instead of just running blinding into you and attacking, they figure out a strategy: Hide and attack, Flank, Sacrifice one of their men to get you. This makes for a very worthwhile, and often frustrating, game. And I don't have to say anything about the graphics...they speak for themselves.
Another great thing is the apparent absence of incredibly long loading times that you would figure would accompany a game of this magnitude. At the most, the game pauses for a split second and then continues, and you probably won't even notice it. But, while this game is perfect in almost every way, there is one very small gripe. The controls are often kinda awkward when you first start playing it. It mostly comes from the bulkiness of the supplied controller, but luckily you can get a smaller version for fairly cheap. Beyond that small little gripe...it's perfect. So, if you have not yet played this game, go to your parents and beg for the measly $250 it requires to experience true happiness. Or you could always sell your kidney on the black market, just as long as you get the game.

This game is really cool and that anybody that has xbox should get it. If you have xbox and you do not have this game you must be into really gay games like Pikmin. The best thing in this game is that I can masterbate in it when I reload the shotgun.

First of all this game is the only and i mean THE SINGLE game out there in this world that actually makes u feel that ure playing a fps game and drive vehicles in the same time just like any other good car game out there. All previous fps games tryed the use of vehicles but never really captured the true feeling of actually driving it was always blocky and choppy. In my opinion this game is the best fps game ever made untill now. For all of you people out there who think it was a bad game and that the game is over rated? All i have to say is that is your own opinion and so you can see how few of you are out there just read around posts and look at those reviews even on this website that out of 100 posts there are only about 3 that dont like halo that makes it a pretty damn good review. Just so you know just because you dont enjoy this game that doesnt mean that the rest of us do not. Its like an old friend of mine who thinks that rock music sucks bad but if you watch tv and see concerts out there there are billions of people who love ROCK (and im one of them), so this just like music some like rock some dont some dont like halo most DO. My point is dont go out there and write that this game isnt good and you shouldnt buy it because others will definetly think different thank you. Your opinion is good enough. Halo Rocks!

Halo is the best game ever!! I invited my friend over to my place, and we played multiplayer Halo and I found a glitch! in the last level when you go on the elevator my friend went with the elevator up and I stayed standing on air! I was trapped on air! However Halo is the best video game ever!

hmm. I just finished playing Halo Online using XBoxConnect. I spent well over 4 hours kicking ass against players all over the world. Like a reviewer earlier on this list, I am of the PONG generation. What the hell am I doing!?!?!?! I spent some university years playing DOOM. head to head Tetris. I am a professional. in fact, I am a professor at a local university. And here I am. playing Halo.
Adults - take a look at this game. It makes COMBAT look puny. now back to my studies.

This is by far my favourite game i have played for any system, the only thing i think halo is missing is bots in multuplayer, and if any of u halo fans have three friends, a network hub, and 4 tv's, play system link. best gaming experience ever!

Halo is the best game truly if there wasnt halo I wouldnt want xbox that much. Halo has awesome graphics and is very fun and exciting it makes you wanna play it over and over. Its like a game sent from heaven! I mean the elites {an alien} are very cool they make you better in accuracy with your gun. Only one problem is with halo you dont have a very big collection of guns. but anyways its a must have game!
