I agree with all of you but not Edward. Iloved the game I dont see how the world can get any better. I mean the graphics were unbeliveable. The sound for the game was great. I could not belive my self. I love the co-op, the split screen, and the lifespan. I was looking for a fun game and a challenging game and i found one.

Im very disappointed in Microsoft...Why didnt they make brilliant games like this before! I thought they had no talent what so ever in video games! Halo is worth buying the xbox alone for. I seen all the hype about Halo and it was a natural choice of a first game to get. And so I did.. And I was immediatly hooked on halo. Killer graphics, multiplayer mode is awesome! (me and some friends had a big 16 player tournament with the system link). I love the 2 player campaing. Me and a friend beat legendary with 2 player campaign. This game is definatly, the greatest first person shooter ever made!

I thought so until I played Halo. The unbelievable graphics, gameplay... And the multi player. Co-op is unbelievable. You'd think James Bond or Perfect Dark were good, try halo and you'd drop those like a led ballon. Halo is a wonderful first person shooter. I loved it. Maybe you will two.

Halo is a terrible game (No offence to long term fans) PS2 has much better games to offer that will excell to Halo's glory. For Example new Grand Theft Auto titles and the "GETAWAY" are mush more fan loved titles tahn the old style first peron shooter such as Halo. I bought and played the game for a week thinking I was stumbling on a major gold mine, but my impatient ears were decieved. And I roecomend that other X-Box players should evoid this game.

Never in the history of games has their been a console game emersed in such intense 3d graphics. The detailed gameplay is so rich that the only thing more realistic is to be in actual battle.
The sound is so crisp and clear you turn to look behind you. The only reason I rated the game a nine was because their were no bots, or AI to play against in multiplayer mode. It will be interesting to see the bar raised for first-person shooters. Unreal Championship must enrich its graphics and gameplay if it wants to stay in the race. It will also be interesting to see what Quake will accomplish. I suspect alot of wanna-be shooters are going to pop-out. However, most will not survive because of gameplay.

In one word Halo is simply Amazing. The graphics and the gameplay, the versatile co-op play right down to the split screen anarchy. If there is a single person out there who does not like halo they are obviously a communist. I've beaten Halo on all the difficulty levels and I must say, I still find myself itching for more...

I Really have no review about the game because i havent passed it all because im stuck on the snowy level so im looking some codes or stragegy guides or some tips on how to pass the level, oh ya the graphics, sounds, lifespan, fun factor & originality, on a fun factor scale 1-10 I would give it a 10 because i like to play multiplayer with like 15 other friends because we connect our x-boxes together then we make a team war red against blue 8 vs 8 or it 4 vs 12 my favorite guns are sniper and needler so basicly as long as im stuck on the snowy level i just play multi player.

i had a ps2 and then i said that x box sucks to my friends but when x box have been released everyone byed it. so i went to my friend and played halo it as thye best game ever its even better than counterstrike (ive heard that its gonna come something like counterstrike on halo) then i tryed to sell my ps2 but no one wanted to by it becuase it sucks everyone has xbox so i dumped my ps2 and got halo ive cleared the game 10 times now and it isnt boring becuase the weapons are cooool and the grafichs are fantastic and the best of all i the vehicles i love them, the story is incredible and so many glitches makes it fun. so this is the best game ever but halo 2 is maybe better (i swear halo 2 release date is next winter) so halo is a must for xbox owners

A wonderful game. Advanced for the xbox, HALO: Combat Evovled is probably the best shoot em' up out there today. Multiplayer was shocking and funfilling. The story behind HALO: Combat Evovled is excellent it just makes the game even better. Aliens and weapons used in the game are amazing, quick firing, real life reloading. The sounds and music are very suitable for this game, screeching of those dying almost sounds real. Blood is a great asset to this game, bodies lay there after death, you can even melee there corpses! WHAT AN AWESOME FEATURE. Unlike those other shooters you can play up to 16 players online at once, or system link. Mulitplayer has great options and features usable for gameplay. Races, CTF, also includding ODDBALL, team deathmatch, classic ctf, iron ctf, classic deathmatch and much much more! Vehicles are great uses during Campaing, CO-OP, and multiplayer. Ground forces such as the Ghost, warthog and the powerful tank. You can even fly around with the Alien Banshee! This has got to be an A+ rated game. Suites all, gameplay excellent, graphics stunning, oh come on, you get my point BUY IT FOR YOURSELF! Thank you Microsoft. Billy, your one smart genius!

Ok, first let me tell you I am 33 years old. I am a member of the "PONG" Generation. I grew up playing the ATARI 2600 right through the 8 bit Nintendo. Then I "grew up" and abandoned video games with the rest of my childhood. Or so I thought. Sure I was aware of the passing of time and the improvements made to technology, I watch from the sidelines as home based video games got more and more technically impressive. But I always maintained that "MY" games from the "Golden Age" of video games were the most fun to play. I can still sit and play "KABOOM" for an hour on the olds ATARI 2600. ________ Then I saw HALO. Oh my GOD. I had been skipped ahead several years, and missed all th stuff in the middle. A little overwhelmed at first with all the sticks and buttons on the XBOX controller, but this old dog caught on quick enough! HALO is the most astounding thing I have even seen in or out of an arcade. It's quite simply the closest thing to a complete alternate reality I have ever seen. The story is excellent, the action is non-stop, the graphics are...well...mind boggling. Nearly unimprovable. The random nature of each battle makes re-playing this game over and over again a must. It's never quite the same twice. Any number of things can make you dead, or victorious. So many possibilities. I am proud to say I have recently completed the game on "LEGENDARY" and despite that, I'm still addicted. If for no other reason than to own HALO, you must own an XBOX. It's that good, it's worth every cent of $300 or whatever the XBOX and HALO cost together now. (I paid $350 and don't regret it one bit.) And MULTIPLAYER! Can you say unending fun? Frag 'em boys and girls, watch the shadows and grab those rocket launchers!

Halo is one of those games that are designed to be played in multiplayer. It is so much more satisfying to complete the game single handed, but lets face it two guns are better than one despite the additional enemies. The graphics are (almost) flawless. The sound, especially the music are one of the best I’ve seen on a console. It enhances the already amazing gameplay to make it a game you just cant help but go back to time again. The fun factor & humour of the game make it stand out from the rest of the FPS's on the XBox to date. Depending on the difficulty level the Aliens will say different things. The one thing that lets the whole game down is that after completing the game on Legendary there are no extra levels, weapons or anything as "reward". I could be wrong about this (please correct me if i am) but something that you have doubtless lost weekends and the occasional workday over really needs something to make it feel worth it. One thing i cant comment on too much is the multiplayer option. I've only played against 2 other people but what i can tell you is that playing Halo on broadband against up to 32 other players, really is one of those things which make you run the risk of never seeing daylight again. This the only time i'll say it but....... Thank you Microsoft.

Halo is easily the best game that i have ever played. Great gameplay, graphics superior to most games, and a story line that leaves you wanting more make this game beautiful. In my oppinion if you have an Xbox and dont have Halo, you dont have an Xbox!

When my brother got the Xbox and halo I thought it would be another stupid game and system but boy was I wrong!! Halo is my favorite game of all time!! The graphics rock and the gameplay is just plain awesome, there are glitches but it is still my favorite game. The storyline is cool nd i'm wondering if they will make a halo 2. Anybody thinkin' about making a movie....

i got my xbox with halo and then i started playing it and it was really fun. i tought that i only where gona be aliens in the game but when i came to level 4 or five it came monsters and they where really cool and it became better n better.
the weapons are cool the graphics are the best and the story is great. so if you want a great first person shooter game you should definitly by this game.

This is the best game i ever played. And frankly the best multiplayer game i ever played. So far i had this game since may 24 and i still play it every day. It is the funnest game you'll ever play. It has unbelievable graphics and the game play is awesome! I highly reccomend getting a copy of halo if you own an xbox. If you dont own an xbox get one this the greatest game ever!
