Halo 1 rocked. Who wouldn't love blasting the hell out of alien scum? Plus the flood was the ultimate twist for the ultimate game. Personally, I think the covenant are harder than the flood. I mean, once you get to heroic in legendary the covenant are like super warriors and you begin to understand how they killed off the rest of the spartans. I'd give this game more than 10 stars if possible. It truly is the best game ever, now we'll have to kick back and wait for halo 2. Kick it!

Halo 1 has been so fun I cant wait until Number 2 comes out this game is so fun but it gets boring when you get stuck I wanna rent number two of halo and pikmin 2 I wet my pants when I knew there were comin out boy o boy I am so excited my pants are wet because I pissed in em major when I say Pikmin 2 and Halo 2 Man I am so excited about halo 2 and halo 1 its so fun on the last lvl blasting mutants and aliens and those floating things that zap you I call them viceroys lol well I rate this game 10 out of 10 this game is so awesome buy it or rent it for XBOX RIGHT NOW!!

Halo is one of the best games on the planet. I admit that it does have room for improvement but Bungie really wasn't allowed the time they wanted. But for Halo 2, Bungie is give ample time to perfect and the game and make it how they finally want it to look and feel. All you idiots out there who gave Halo one star should realy play the game longer. Most of you who did give it one star said you only played for like 5 minutes. That won't even get you to the captain on the first level. And multi player mode really doesn't get good till you get mor that 2 people in it. Trust me I took the time to beat the entire game on legendary, and all of you ding dongs who said it was too easy or wasn't hard enough probably were too afraid to get past the first level on the easy setting. Yea the game does have glitches, but that makes it all the moe better on multi player mode just think of it as more places to hide. The game is actualy very original, Bungi was the first company to make a first person shooter game like this. The first being Marathon if I remember correctly, but all you people with Microsucks ( microsoft ) operating sistems wouldn't know that. Your lifespan is very good, if you watch your sheild and your butt, untill you get to heroic or legendary you should be able to go through it with no tactics just guns blazing. That's how good your lifespan is. Sound is very good in this game, all the music is beutifly orcastrated. You can easily tell were the enemy, with a stereo system, not surround sound just two speakers with you tv. This game is very very fun I think all of you with xboxs sould get this game. And all of you who gave it one star and said you would rather play ps2 or gamecube or some other system, DO IT. In conclusion this game is very good.

There is no words that can describe this game it is a must have if you own the xbox console its a third person shooter where you have to go to the secreat world known as Halo and when you get there you kill all the alien scum that you can see but if you are into codes that give you invicibility /max ammo this game has none you must play it 100%lagit and that makes it more challenging which to me is a good thing to me and if you want to beat this game be prepared for the long hall it is huge there is lots to explore and do which is why I gav this game 10 stars oh and one more thing it NEVER GETS OLD after you beat the game hook uup on xbox live and join lan parties and that will keep you busy untill april when Halo2 is released so as you can see I think thhis game is definitly worth the money adnd I promie you if you buy this game you will not be disapointeed

Halo is the best game ever. The graphics are awesome. I love this game because the vehicles are cool, the weapons are so fun to use (my favorite is the shotgun). The music is scary while you are in battle. I think halo and halo 2 will be the best games forever. And when it is quiet you can hear mc heartbeat.My favorite vehicle is the warthog. I like to run over enemies and hear them scream.My favorite level is the library because there is alot of flood in it. I also like to play with hunters. I beat the maw on lengendary twice with a partner. But it is not the hardest level. Keyes is the hardest level to beat. Halo is not to hard or not to easy. I like it that way. Bungie did a great job on halo. The enemies are cool the weapons are awesome, the vehicles are so fun to drive, and the story is cool. Some bad things about halo is nothing. I wonder what things are going to improve in halo 2. I cant think of any. At first I thought halo was not very fun but now I think it is the best game ever.

I'll have to admit Halo is quite a good game. It is the best I've seen in my entire life. The graphics are awesome; the weapons are sweet; and the enemies are vicious(on legendary). It is the complete game. And holding two weapons at a time is great(more challenging). I can't wait until Halo 2 comes out. Playing halo on XBox live will be shibby. It was a blast the first time I defeated legendary to see the "special film". I won't give it away but all I can say is thats a side of Sarge I've never seen before! It is very challenging on legendary facing 2 hunters at once(especially when they're that p*ssed off). But all an all this game is going down in history. My favorite mission has to be Assault on the Control Room. It is a wicked combination of indoor and outdoor combat. It is also a nice combo of vehicles and on foot travel. The best part of this mission is the hijacking of a banshee. Nothing like bashing the covenant with their own vehicle. Also any mission in which you get to snipe as well as melee about 30 sleeping covenant gets an A+. Speaking of melee, bless whoever came up with that idea for this game. Nothings better than busting an Elite in the back of the head. Now as for the rest of those "Halo Gods" out there. You cant say anything until you defeat Halo on Legendary(by yourself). If you haven't then dont be calling yourself the Halo God. It doesn't work that way. As for the creators of Halo, bless you all. I can't wait for Halo 2. But I still can't figure out how you'll make it better than the first!

I've played games since I was 4 or 5, now I'm 15, and To start off I didn't really support x-box at all seeing as I'm a Nintendo fanatic... but the 1st time I actually played Halo, it was with 11 people, and I had a blast, in fact I stayed on it for 9 hours straight. I stopped because as we went on, people would stop playing and would go upstairs to join the cast party for the musical... otherwise I would have been on longer... Now, I can't say it's the best game because I sometimes want it to have things that other games do have, like AI bots in multiplayer... Great story mode and I like the Co-op mode a lot too, because it gives me fun when single mode gets boring. Multiplayer, I think is also one of the best, except the only way to make it more fun is by adding people to the action with multiple X-boxes, or Editing gametypes. Just recently I played a CTF game with all characters invisible and no shield with only 1 friend and it was awesome... on small maps... I don't own the game myself but that makes it all the better because then when i go to a friend's house it's like a break from my own FPS games... I say the music, the sounds, and the graphics are superior... yes, the covenant do look like toys sort of, but i like some of the elite's grunts as well as there AI at times. 9/10 only because after playing Timesplitters 2 (FPS for Gamecube, PS2, and X-box) I liked it's ability to make my own maps and the ability to put bots in the game at a set difficulty for each bot, and its colorful bunch of characters to choose from, and all the action i've had, along with certain gametypes... the storymode is Co-op but unfortunately for me, it doesnt even compare to Halo's storymode... Halo is the only reason I would even think of getting an X-box... because ALMOST all of the x-box games would drop the fun level if I had Halo. I am not your father, but if you got an X-box, get Halo. I hate idiots who claim any game is the best... there IS no best game... by my standard a game is either---pointless, bad, pretty bad, mediocre (average), fun, very fun, or Elite in the gaming world... so there is a few games in the elite zone... and Halo is one of those few... it's what I think got x-box off to the start they had after it's release... I personally have gamecube and computer games that give me plentifull fun... but I may consider getting an X-box and Halo sometime...

all of you people that say that halo 2 is horrible or is bad are nubs. plain and simple, if you dont like halo 2 then therr is somehting seriously wrong with you. i was erading the reviews and one person said that it was average and there were other good first person games(wrong). this is the best game out there. and another one said how his friend likes real sport games and how his friend also thought that aliens were stupid, i agree with him his freind is a fool anlong woth mine he thinks the same way. in my opinion halo 2 is the best game and will be up until halo 3 comes out. i heard it was already was in the making and i cant wiat. and if thoes people that do not like halo 2 dont like it soon i give the advice of seeking professional help> :0 lol. another thing that i thought i should say to all of thoes ps2 and game cube lovers, thoes are geared more towards children and their games are bad, granted they have some of the same games are for xbox but xbox games say ONLY ON XBOC cause sony cannot come up with any thing good, and will be soon out of buisness. and even thought halo one seems so old now that halo 2 came out it is still much better than any playstation or ps2 or games cube.

This Game is one of my favorite games for 3 reasons.
1. It is action packed and has a butt load of guns & Blood.
2. The vehicles are very neat.( I Like The Warthog & Banshee )
3. The multiplayer mode is cool. You may even make you own game.
The Guns where probrobly the coolest part of the game. I could do the whole game with just my handgun. Ive beat the game countless times and I have some advice for enemy's.
1...Grunts. On grunts anything will work. They are very weak but they mostly travel in packs of 3 to 7.
2...Jackals. These enemies are a little tricky. You may rather melee the shield and break it. Or you can use a plasma weapon to burn the shield. They will keep your marine allies busy for a while.
3...Elites.These guys can be very hard. Try to keep a distance from these guys. They come in 3 colors.Light Blue,easy but usually are invisible.Blue, Normal difficulty Elite. Red,Hard difficult Elite. Yellow/Gold, Very Hard & have swords. Most elites have grunts with them. Stay away or kill them with a assult rifle.
4...Hunters. Very hard...But Very Easy. They have big swords and have plasma rockets. They have orange spots on thier back and arm, one shot at this spot will kill him. Sorry but I have to go. I will continue this review some other time. Bye

Halo is truly what the name suggests, which is "Combat Evolved." There are many reasons for this. One example would be all of the cool weapons that are man-made and alien-made. I especially like the shotgun because in multiplayer modes you can shoot at close range and get a kill with one shot. Another thing I liked about Halo was that it has a great Campaign mode, which is more or less the story mode. It's great how they start the game with a level that is a sort of a practice level where you learn all of the basics of playing the game. You learn things like how to shoot and aim in this level. Something else that's awesome about this game is all of the multiplayer modes, such as Slayer, which is a free for all or team shooter. All you have to do is shoot the other players or team, and the team with the most points wins. There's also a capture the flag mode where you have to go to the other side of the map, where the other team's flag is, then, when you find it, you have to go back to your side to score a point. One last thing that was great about Halo was that, since it was only on the Xbox, the creators didn't have to worry about creating it for different graphics engines such as the Playstation 2s. This gave them the ability to create a game that has awesome graphics. That's a good thing since Halo is a sci-fi game. To have a great sci-fi game, you have to have good graphics to go along with it.
Although Halo had many great things about it, there was one thing in particular that I really despised about it. Virtually, you can't play the multiplayer modes by yourself. You have to have other people to play with you because there are no AI that you can play with in the multiplayer modes. This isn't such a bad thing for me, but could be for other people because some people might not have anyone around that can play with them when they would like to.
Even though Halo had one large mistake in the multiplayer mode, all the other good aspects of the game make up for it. Halo is a really great game with a great storyline, and I would honestly recommend buying it. Don't rent it or you won't get full enjoyment out of it. You should really buy Halo: Combat Evolved.

Halo deserves the Halo.Here's why...There are 4 possible endings.4!.Ha. it is truly the most realistic first person shooter(doesn't really have a league for hyper real-just look at XIII)you can get for Xbox.Halo 2 is only better because of the xbox-live alteration.Halo mission design,though,compared to,say,KillZone,is so perfect that your rarely frustrated and the amount of exciting multiplayer modes,if this had been on Xbox-Live,this could well be the most"Combat Evolved"xbox game ever to grace the console.I just want friendly NPC's like in Halo 2,plasma swords and fuel rod guns,and the ability to play as elites,which if you look closely, yule see all the above features were implimented into halo 2. poo.Its speech is extremely funny sometimes hilarious,although it is exceptionally bloody,and contains swear words,(and rated M,16+,15+)I would make this an essential purchase for any serious gamer.Take that,PS2. As the ps2 thinks it gets all the great games? sOny should try talky-talky to Bungie HQ or Microsoft City. Halo is awsome i saw it and i was immediately hooked my friends started playing it 24/7 and we stopped only to eat or drink for about 10 mins. I mean it has the best graphics i have ever seen!! my friends and i would like to challenge anyone who thinks that they are better because we are the BEST!!! I like the grunts best cause they say funny things when u start killin them but stop and they run around yelling stuff like "hes after me" or "there everywhere there everywhere". I would recomend halo for anyone for a thirst for killing stuff even though i cant for halo2 to become available i would still recomend halo1 for everyone. my dfavourite vehicles wopuld probably be the warthog and the banshee although i heard that halo2 lets u get into new vehicles such as the gauss warthog(good against vehicles)and the wraith (the thing that shoots big blue bullets). anyone who doesnt think that halo is really awsome they really have gotta get their minds wiped because i think it is a revolutionary 1st person shooter on a revolutionary console. the game is so original like the guns and all the vehicles. U could play it for forever and still not get bored.

Yes the game has good graphics and music, but the game is the same basic shooting action that most games have. I'm not saying that this game is no good. Quite the opposite, I love this game! there are so many differnt reactions to different things that happen. I once blew up a guost falling backwards off the side of a cliff as my only marine sweared multiple times that a grunt had compleatly blackend the left side of our warthog with a garnade. I will not be like those blood thirsty, violent, and gun happy reviewers that say it is awsome for the fact that the game offers far to little stratagey for me. The game is almost like a movie with some what retarded marines that barely are any help at all, and a group of alines called the coventent that somehow find humans as vile scum that needs to wiped of the face of the galexy. The piont to the game is to discover what Halo is, try and stop keyes for unleasing the flood ( a ancient race of monsters that finds a perticular liking of flesh), fail, find Keyes discover he is a flood, kill him, and destroy Halo.Overall the game is the best I have played in a long time. I have no reason to continue, but it has to be 200 words.
