Halo is by far my favorite game of all time.It has such a good multiplayer and single player.I am really addicted, ive had it for 7 months now and im still playing it for hours.I am almost done with legendary now,(im in the middle of two betrayls)and once halo 2 comes out,ill be hooked once again.Iv already reserved Halo 2.well im done now,as you see this game is awesome. for you who dont have it yet.GET IT!! The Cavalry Has Arrived.or so says a marine. HALO RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't know if I wanted an xbox, ps2, gamecube or what. I didn't even know what halo was until I went to my best friends house one day. I played halo for a half hour and was a natural for it. A few days later I take back my electric scooter and bought an xbox and a copy of halo. I skipped school the next day because I had been playing halo all night long. And as soon as I woke up I started playing again. I even skipped lunch just to play. Now me and my friends use a system link every sunday and battle 4 on 4. At first I beat the game on easy and it was a snap. But I wanted more, so I started playing on legendary, it was no picnic trust me. Being able to take out an entire army by yourself with just 10 to 20 marines to back you up, IT'S A RUSH!
Some advice for future halo fans who just heard it was good and want to get halo 2,(not that that's a bad thing),before you do that go ahead and get yourself a copy of halo 1. Trust me you don't know what youre getting in to. Basically if it weren't for halo I would not own an XBOX.
P.S. I ofcourse have already pre purchased my copy of halo 2.

I was the one, I admit it. I was the last person to buy Halo. So maybe my expectations were jacked way too high to be totally blown away by this game. After all I've heard about graphic and game play, I really expected a little more. When I started playing Halo for the first time, I was amazed at just how much the game is JUST LIKE so many other first-person-shooters out there. I've played lots of FPS games. There are lots of other games that rock in the gameplay department, not to mention graphics, sound, story, etc. Sure, Halo is a good FPS, but I just don't understand why so many people are so mezmerised by it.
Over all, Halo is above average in quality. The AI is excellent for both enemies and allies, alike. The graphics get the job done nicely, and in some cases the visuals really excel. But, I have to point out that many PC games, especially ones running with fast CPU's and good video cards, routinely deliver beautiful visuals. And as far as console systems go, the PS2 is gernerally under-rated in its ability to deliver nice graphics. Audio in Halo is above average, complete with nice voice acting. Gameplay is solid and controls are tight. Load times are minimal and generally data is loaded on the fly without breaks in the action. Replay value is undoubtedly high, as long as you're in the mood for some good 'ol FPS action. One thing that has to be said about Halo is that the action is pretty relentless. There's never a dull moment! The story is pretty standard fare for a game like Halo, which is not a bad thing. It's actually pretty original in many ways.
To sum it up, Halo is a great game, but I really couldn't call it the "Best Game Ever".

The game is totally awesome,too bad the game doesn't have more levels. Well,if you put it on legendary,it would seem longer. The game has awesome graphics and cool guns. One of the cool things about the game is you can kill your partner on the game. If you keep killing each other, you can get unlimited ammo. The best thing about it is the vehicles, my favorite is the scorpion tank. If you go to demos on the game, and look at Halo 2, they have way better aliens,weapons,and levels, but it will be a long time before that comes out. Grunts, usually stick in packs and use weapons like pistol,plasma rifle,and plasma grenades. Jackals, have great hearing,smell, and sight. They use plasma pistols and carry a plasma sheild. The best way to kill a Jackal is to hit it anywhere on it body just like you do with a Grunt. The Elites are pretty strong, they have a sheild on their body and use a plasma gun. Hunters are the strongest alien of all, they carry a gun and a sheild. The gun is inside of their arm, it is very strong. Their sheild will protect them and will be used as a melee weapon. I played halo for the first time down at my friends house. It is a superb game. The multiplayer is amazing. I reckon dis waz da best shootin' game ever made. Whoever hates this game deserves to av a slow & painful death.
The graphics are an obvious 10/10
so far in da game i haven't seen any glitches. The enemies have amazing graphics and bungie [halo creaters] have put every detail into da enemies. And da guns. Hell Yeah the guns are radical!!!!!!!!! The music is ok!!!!!!!!! I said i only wanted an Xbox just to by this game. 007 Goldeneye for Nintendo 64 is the best shootin' game but this is the 2nd best. It is similar to Goldeneye in many ways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If your lookin for a really really really action-packed game then you should bye Halo!!!!!!! If you see this game for about 40 quid it is a good offer no matter how much the game costs its just da best. You little kids out there this game might be a bit hard for you. If you like really hard games then buy.

For the first 20 minutes, I must admit,multiplayer was fun. Then it got annoying. But dont even think about playing single player because it is the most boring thing on earth. You shoot aliens and its not violent, so I dont know why its even rated Mature. All the guns in this game are pretty cool, but it is boring shooting aliens. The AI of your enemys is good though but at the few last levels the AI seems not finished. The graphics are good ... FOR PLAYSTATION 2! I mean Xbox can support better graphics than this. And at last comes the awful controls. The controls are placed in the worst places. Like you have to press the worst button to shoot. I think Halo is over rated,and I think you need to rent it. If you buy it, I think you wasted $50 bucks plus tax.

Halo is easily the best game that i have ever played. Great gameplay, graphics superior to most games, and a story line that leaves you wanting more make this game beautiful. In my oppinion if you have an Xbox and dont have Halo, you dont have an Xbox!

This game was defineitly a perfect 10. I loved this game after I beat it ounce I went on and beat it again. This game has some of the best graphics sound and gameplay that I have ever witnessed. The thing that keped me hooked woul;d have to be the awesome storyline. This game had asesome potential and it lived up to that potential. I would have to admit the game has a lot of levels, and talk about long levels. I've been trying to think of a flaw in this game but there really isn't one. The only possible thing that I can think of would have to be the last level, For me It was very frustrating I just could'nt find this one door. Any one one who does not have this game should defineitly get it. One thing that I have to say about this game it is not like most games. All lot of other games dont really give you a clear Idea of what they want you to do. But that Is not true in HALO Halo is perfect in every aspect that could possibly be. In my opinion for Halo 2 that is coming out in couple of weeks it will be good but no game can match up to HALO!

SINCE i bought this game all i do is HALO HALO HALO>..Then when I go to my friends house till 3 am, playing all 16 of us ...there is no time to go home...thats where my problem lies....Dont buy this game if you have a life becasue it will take over and control you.....As it did me and my friends 16 people 4 TV's why do anything else.........the end .

don't get mad at me for having this game on my HATE list. It's just the aliens that run around are nuts. MGS2 was MUCH better. I hate POV mode and always will. I like the MGS2 kind of bird$#< remove me > at ! splattering over my face, but hate the boring landscape of HALO. FYI, HALO is short for High Altitude, Low Opening. A type of parachute jump from a very high altitude. No, not from a diving board. In fact, 90% of the people who try it die. I did in the first 5 seconds of the game. So this game is true from a certain POV. 90% of the people who follow "follow me guy" get blown up at the beginning. Only reason i like this game: committing suicide. I love waiting at the bottom of a cliff while my friend launches the warthog off the cliff to smash me. This game barely has any realistic design. You jump off the cliff with the warthog and nothing happens if you have a "good landing." I suggest you get the PS2 for the same price, but a PS2 player, DVD player, and CD player. Tell me; what is more worth it? A system with no realistic design, or a system with mind-blowing realism, DVD playing realism, and realistic design. I suggest the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Metal Gear Solid 2, and PS2 combo. You have the two best games on the market for a resonable price.

This game is the best. Since like 99.9% of the people in the reviews liked it. Thos of you who say the game sucks. I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY OF YOU GIVE ONE GOOD REASON WHY THE GAME SUCKS.. while the people who like it give dozens. If you think the game sucks that bad.. have a better argument.. HAHA!

I've tried all the good shoot em' ups. Everything from army men to Quake 2. Halo has to be the only one which i've actually ever said 'Cool game!' I just love the multiplayer features, the baddys, the weapons, the blood, the reality, the graphics, the enemy AI, the basic plotline, everything! It's perfect, absolutly flawless. I recommend it to anyone who loves a good shoot em' up!

I spent a whole year intrigued by this game, wondering how it could be "that good", but now i can sort of see everyone's point. i dont exactly agree, because with the exception of a couple instances, it's all just your standard run n gun sleeper. part of what made it fun for me was playing the majority of the game in cooperative mode with my brother, which is exceedingly fun because you get to work as a team (it's also much easier to beat this way).
The big exception to the constant droning shooting was the part where you first encountered the flood. my whole body was in genuine panic after seeing the cutscene of the marines being ripped apart and the subsequent appearance of tons of little red dots on your radar. then it was more of the same. shooting shooting and more shooting. i think i may have worn out my right trigger from all the shooting.
Overall, the game just isnt an epic, which is not what i had expected. whenever i see a 10/10 rating, i picture a punkass 9-14 year old who has an unsatiable dream to kill millions of aliens and no appetite for a good plot. for the rest of us, we're better off sticking to stuff like Splinter Cell.

HALO HALO HALO!!!!!!!!! this game is the best console game launched since zelda the ocarina of time for n64!! the gameplay is better than any other! the graphics oooo the graphics!! i love to strap on my MJOLNIR armor {refer to the book Halo The Fall Of Reach which is the prequel to learn more.} and pick up a few grenades and a shotgun, and go kick some covenant butt!! Halo 2 is coming out in november.{as far as i know} visit bungee.com to find out that you get a new suit,weapons,enemies,vehicles{i have screenshots of the new BIGGER warthog},terrain and much more. the graphics on Halo2 are supposed to be like REAL!! also they said they will have a multiplayer suprise! i hope it's that you can play campaign mode with 4 people and more! one of my screenshots shows a view of a planet getting "iced" by the covenant in the book, the were covenant "gods" thewy tried to get. that's getting me thinking of a new mission!take those "gods" out baby!! if you have an Xbox and you don't have halo ,it was a waste of about 100-200 dollars from your paycheck.this game is ADDICTIVE!! i could play 24/7 365 if i was aloud. my friends rip[ it up with me too! i am the best sniper out there! i have beaten all my friends at once with 5 sniper rifle bullets,no sheild,2 blocks of health.all in all, halo ,is just a GREAT game! by the way, a nice case of hunter splinter cell and ghost recon are good to top of a day of ridding the universe of covenant! i hoped you liked my review, because i liked expressing my feelings about it!

When i first played this game i said "WOW"! This game has tremendous gameplay! Halo is such an awesome game it blows all others away like a fuel rod gun, hehe. In games there are three things: good story line, game play, and graphics. some games have one, or two. but never three. Well, bungie redid that theory and made halo with all three that makes it shoot up to a ten outta ten! In my opinion i would make it an eleven outta ten. And thats not all! the sound and voices make the game a living reality! the explosions, veichles running, and the shooting make you feel like you are really in the game. When i first got halo i thought, nothing can get better than this, nothing! but when i downloaded the trailer i finally realized there is something better than halo...halo 2! duh. when i get halo 2 i will play it from the first shot of the bullet to the last drop of blood. good thing i have a stereo sound system! lol. nope...nothing beats halo and halo 2! who out there thinks there is something better than halo? dont underestimate the power of the ring.

Halo is cool if you like co-op play, otherwise, the only differences from the other four player versus shoot'em up games are the weapons and environments other than that all those games are repetitive and they suck hardcore. The gamplay, graphics, fun factor are areas of the game I would score high on, like a 6.5. The value of this game should be in my opinion $20 when it was first released due to how much improvement and/or time and effort they should have put into it. The sound is great, I really like the sounds and the voices, especially with a surround sound system hooked up to it. I would definitely give the sound factor a ten!!! The graphics are good but they could be alot better, especially the environment textures. Fun factor is a ten! only on two player co-op. Halo has an excellent story line as well as the cinemas, it's a game that definitely gets you hooked for hours on end. I do think they should have four player co-op, which is a feature that would have given this game a much better overall rating. Also, it would have contributed to a better fun factor as well as making the game more interactive.
The characters' overshield should allow you to take more damage before it starts taking away from your lifespan, however, I do like the fact that this feature is a feature that should be in more of this genre type of game, if you know what I mean. It definitely has alot of originality, thats for sure. All in all this is currently a must have for all video gamers that own an xbox or computer.
