The One Game To Rule Them all |

This is absolutely one of the best games ever made ( given the fact that it was made by microsoft ). Usually shooting games aren't all that great to me, but when I played Halo, i was amazed.
The first thing that struck me first as and amazing game were the graphics. they topped the chart! For such a big game , the creaters sure as heck did a good job.
The second thing that I though was amazing was the storyline to the game. It was just like reading a good book. I was addicted.
I've never played any game more addicing than this game besides the final fantasys, but they're not half as good as Halo.
The AI on this game is unbeleivable! Whenever you get in a car, so do your team mates ( not many games are like that ). If you are low on health, all you have to do is hide and your team mates will kill all the covanent. That is awesome!
But, even though this game is great, it also has its downfalls. First of all, they don't have enough multi-player levels , and most of them are really small, so when you're playing a 16 player game, it's really difficult.
Also, the ghraphics on the X-box version are way better than the PC / DC version. So, that's one thing the creaters should keep in mind when they make Halo 2.
So, Here's a little reveiw for all you people who haven't played the game or are thinking about buying it. I hope it helps.

This is clearly the best game ever.The graphics,the sound,the storyline, and the gameplay is the best it can be.I didn't find any problems with this game exept one, IT'S NOT XBOX LIVE ENABLED!!!! That's why I'm waiting for Halo 2, but if you're not into the Xbox Live stuff don't bother buying Halo 2 if you already have Halo.There is a few things they could improve like they could let you hold more than two guns at a time and the multiplayer maps could be a little larger.Those are all the problems with this game, now here are the good things about Halo. This game is highly addictive, there is a lot of secrets and suprises in the game....but im not going to give any away I'll just let you find them your self, there is a lot of detail in the characters and objects in the game, there is a lot of diffirent ennemies in the game from the grunt to a zombie to a Hunter, There are also some vehicles you can drive like a: ghost,scorpion,banshee,warthog,and a tank, There is also a lot of levels and all of them are incredibly long which in this game is a good thing.Those were all the good things i could think of but i know there are much much more good things about this game.You know what everyone says: Halo alone is a reason to buy a Xbox, and actually they're right.

This game is unbelievably awesome. I must say, I cannot trust anyone who has played this game and doesn't like it. If you don't like Halo than there is an extremely slim chance that anyone would call you a gamer. (Unless you just don't like FPS) Other alternatives: 1. You were abused while playing this game. 2. You have only played it for 5 min. 3. You are someone who sadly mistakes him/herself for a game. 4. You are mentally insane and play games like Tetris all day.
If you have only played the game through easy mode than you have been sadly mislead. If you try the game on Legendary than anyone who has not played it through 5-10 time would have a good challenge. If you have bugs in your game than it is 99.99999% likely to have it JUST in your game or console because I have been playing this game shortly after it came out, and I havent found a glitch yet. As for the storyline, it is already awesome, but if you read a lot like me, than read the books. They fill in the blanks and give more backround. The Graphics are top-of-the line. The ONLY thing that has better graphics so far are PC games simply because they can contain more data. As for some games mentioned such as Perfect Dark and Picmin games... would you actually put this up for comparison??????????????????

This is the best gane I've ever played'PERIOD!
Bad things about Halo(very few of course): Halo has afew glitches but they improve the game and make it cooler,I wish the previews after you die were longer and the reason is: In the Silent Cartographer level when you climb in the warthog and then go to the balcony of where the doors shut, get out and when you hear or see a grunt throw a plasma grenade at you, throw 2 fragmentation grenades at the ground and if you are covered with needlers the plasma grenade,the frags and the needlers all explode at the same time, sending you high in the air. The highest i've gotten is probably 50 feet higher than the cliff wall.
The good things:
Graphics:Halo's graphics are the best i've seen in any game.
Sound: Halo has really good sound, it works great with surround sound.
Gameplay:The gameplay is the funnest i've seen.
Lifespan:The Masterchief's lifespan is perfectly understandable I mean in other games you say "holy cow this guy won't die" but in Halo the Masterchief is a cyborg plus he has a shield.
Fun Factor:very very very very very very fun
Value:This game cost me 30bucks and that is cheap for the game I rated 10 which is a really good value.

I just got halo reading all the reviews I thought it would have to be good. When I got home and started playing I could not stop. I like how you can create your own multi-player game. I can tell you if you don't have it you don't know what your missing

Halo is awesome. There is no other way to put it. It just ROCKS the house! I know almost every glitch on the internet and have found more than 50 myself that no one has posted on the internet! There are no actual cheats, which is a good thing, but there are tons of glitches which none of are stupid, but make the game better! The grunts are hilarious, the elites are cool, the jackals are all right, and the hunters are really cool. The enemies are all original, the marines are just how they should be, not too powerful, but not too weak. The graphics are good, but they could be better, and they will be on Halo 2, I've seen the screenshots! The fun factor is way up there with the other godly games. The sound is great, all the right sounds are in all the right spots, and they make the game even more enjoyable. The gameplay is about the best I've ever seen, and I've been playing video games since I was in Kidnergarten(I'm currently in seventh grade, so that's quite a long time)! I am a video game god, I've beaten the game on legendary by myself, though I have to admit I can hardly believe I did since it was so hard! This game even provided a big challenge to me, though like with all video games, I came out victorious. I spent $30 on the game, and it was worth every penny and more. Anyone who doesn't like this game is either horrible at it, or hasn't played it and has heard bad things about it from the people who are horrible at it. Contact me if you want to know any glitches, hints, or help on the game. I know glitches that you won't find anywhere on the internet (I've looked myself), and can give some really good help on the game to anyone who wants to get better. If you don't have this game, BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have played this game for a longgggg time now, and I have to admit it's still the best game I have ever played. I am scared though that halo 2 might ruin the series with something stupid. But here are some tips,
Snipe behind red base in shadow
Theres a glitch near one of the bases on the right walk up there to snipe, ( Squirrel Spot )
ALWAYS use a pistol for fighting anywhere head shots kill like 200 times faster than rifle,
When shoting a rocket delay yourself 3 seconds to where the target is,
When facing a Mammoth ( tank ), grab a ghost is availble the speed of the ghost has the advantage plus you can do tricks of the mammoth!,
On Ice take a warthog on the ice alone with full power then jump out give it around 2 seconds then press X youll be in the gunners seat with the warthog moving,
Even without the tips THis game is really fun and 1 played mode gets boring but multiplayer kicks major ass.
Thats all i can really think of the top of my head right now so if you have any for me just email me.

I will start with the Cons because there are so few. One is that the Marines don't drive Warthogs, which they are trained to drive, but yet they drive ghosts, which is complicated alien technoligy. And on coop my friends always stink at driving so I am forced to drive. Second, the Marines don't use cover, and they get blown up a lot. Basacally, the Marines are the big issue. They must be poorly trained, and I usually kill them and go on alone. They waste greanades on one grunt. And they don't have any courage. On silent cartographer, when I am charging along the beach murduring everyone, the marines are mobilizing against 2 sissy grunts hiding behind a rock. and then when I charge the Elites and Jackals near the structure, they throw greanades in with no warning and the greanad damages me severly but the elites ran behind the pillar. I lost them all thanks to Mr.Mendoza. Other than the Marines, the game is Perfect. The graphiccs make it seem like and interactive movie rather than a game. The enemmies are the smarteset I've seen in a while. At least the Covenant use cover. The flood are some of the coolest but most annoying enemies ever. Every came now has to involve bloodsucking zombies, but these aren't fragile things that walk slower than a 100 year old person. Even the Flood are reativley smart considering what they are. The vehicles are well balnced and there is no best weapon. Each weapon stinks at one thing and excels in another. Except the pistol. Most games make you start out with the pistol cause it stinks, but Halo gives you it because its VERSITILE. You can kill any enemie with it with a little practice. I think if this game had a best weapon it would be the pistol. A scope, fully automatic firing, very powerful and large ammo capacity make it a winner. Any way don't rent this if you play it, buy it, because you'll get hooked in less than a minute.

Halo is the ultimate gaming experiance, great, unbelivable superb, I don't care if satern himself desighned the god dam game I would still get it.So o.k the graphics aren't the best that iv'e seen but there not bad either.Enyway the sound more than makes up 4 it I mean u get the basic gun-fire, grenade,and splater soundes but you also get so much more the cut scences fits the sound, his voice comes out when he speaks and the music is the best.BUT somthing that I love is the grunts they say the funnyest things like'There everywhere !' and 'we're all gonna die !' its halerious (and usally true) the grunts the greatest, the jackels annoyingly cool,eleats fast and deadly as s**tand finnaly the hunters what can you say imagine a 8ft tall 1 tonne armoured gorrila armed with a a big ol hunk of inpervious metal and a feul rod gun(like alien rocket luncher) and u got the basic idea.You have esactly the right amount of health making u not covanent fodder but at the same time not bloody invincable its perfect.the game is I think totaly orignal never have I been so sucked in to a space like game I've always thought them sad but although Halo is set in the future with aliens and plasma weapons but its still my faverite game in the whole god dam world.its so fun and you can even have your own style with all the diffrent wepons a sniper armed with a sniper rifle and pistle a close range shoot em up man with a shotgun and assault rifle blow em to bits man with frag grenade rocket launcher and sticky plasma grenade a hi-tech space man with a plasma rifle and a heat seeking needler or a plasma pistol or finnaly a viechle man driving/piloting a
worthog-jeep with mounted machine gun.
scorpian-tank with light machine gun or a heavey duty main turet.
ghost-hovering covant viechle with double mounted plasma rifles.
or a banshee-[best viechle] flying covant plane with twin plasma rifles and mounted fuel rod cannons.
As youv'e probaly gatherd this is the best game in the f*****g world.

Halo is downright the best console game invented. Bungie made some sucky games in the past, but Halo just turned Bungies lack of good games around.
Halo consists of a large selection of weapons, characters, vehicles, and aliens. (The types of aliens in Halo are Flood and Covenant, all with thier own types and advantages.) Some people get the Xbox only for Halo, and they made the right choice. Halo is worth a check, so if you want an xbox, Halo is the shooter for you. It is rated M for vilonce and blood and gore, but it is a great game nevertheless. you play as a Cyborg Master Chief who crashes on a remote ring world only to discover its contents... Halo is full of suprises, suspence, and even a few comic releifs expireinced on the level 343 Guilty Spark and The Maw. (you might not catch them your first time played. Also these levels are the most suspenceful, in my opinion.) Duiring gameplay, Halo allows you to change guns immedeately, reload, throw grenades, and jump. Also, you have a little A I partner that gives you handy directions to help you out...Except in 343 Guilty Spark, you don't have her with you...
I am 13, and I have to say, Halo deserves a 10 star.

Halo is the best game ever!! you get to run around shooting these stupid aliens in such rich enviroments. and the music was just simple put amazing. the music is there for the right time in the game. and the weapons are amazing. the sniper rifle is just cool it can kill an Elite in one shoot. the shot gun is the second best gun. it has a scatter shot so it is the most effective against the Flood. the Flood are so damn annoying they come out of friggin nowhere. you are walking down a peaceful hall and then BAM!! you get attacked by thousands of the infection forms. and then the combat forms come out to play. they are not that hard to kill it is just that they tend to reanimate. you shoot him like fifty times he falls down then when your back is turned they come back to life (if that is what you want to call it) and smack you!! and the sniper rifle (unfortunately) doesn't even damage them. so when you find the Flood do not, repeat do not pick up the sniper rifle. now i am just wasting words so i can end this review so how was everbodys weekend.

I like Halo and all,but its rated mature.I mean cmon,look up ESRB ratings for the original Syphon Filter.You get rated teen.It virtually has the same things Halo is rated for.So if you have parents that arent crazy about mature games and want to buy Halo, look up ESRB ratings for the games I mentioned,compare them, and tell your parents what you get.Trust me,its worth it.The graphics,storyline,sound,everything.

Halo is one of those games that are designed to be played in multiplayer. It is so much more satisfying to complete the game single handed, but lets face it two guns are better than one despite the additional enemies. The graphics are (almost) flawless. The sound, especially the music are one of the best I’ve seen on a console. It enhances the already amazing gameplay to make it a game you just cant help but go back to time again. The fun factor & humour of the game make it stand out from the rest of the FPS's on the XBox to date. Depending on the difficulty level the Aliens will say different things. The one thing that lets the whole game down is that after completing the game on Legendary there are no extra levels, weapons or anything as "reward". I could be wrong about this (please correct me if i am) but something that you have doubtless lost weekends and the occasional workday over really needs something to make it feel worth it. One thing i cant comment on too much is the multiplayer option. I've only played against 2 other people but what i can tell you is that playing Halo on broadband against up to 32 other players, really is one of those things which make you run the risk of never seeing daylight again. This the only time i'll say it but....... Thank you Microsoft.

Ok, first let me tell you I am 33 years old. I am a member of the "PONG" Generation. I grew up playing the ATARI 2600 right through the 8 bit Nintendo. Then I "grew up" and abandoned video games with the rest of my childhood. Or so I thought. Sure I was aware of the passing of time and the improvements made to technology, I watch from the sidelines as home based video games got more and more technically impressive. But I always maintained that "MY" games from the "Golden Age" of video games were the most fun to play. I can still sit and play "KABOOM" for an hour on the olds ATARI 2600. ________ Then I saw HALO. Oh my GOD. I had been skipped ahead several years, and missed all th stuff in the middle. A little overwhelmed at first with all the sticks and buttons on the XBOX controller, but this old dog caught on quick enough! HALO is the most astounding thing I have even seen in or out of an arcade. It's quite simply the closest thing to a complete alternate reality I have ever seen. The story is excellent, the action is non-stop, the graphics are...well...mind boggling. Nearly unimprovable. The random nature of each battle makes re-playing this game over and over again a must. It's never quite the same twice. Any number of things can make you dead, or victorious. So many possibilities. I am proud to say I have recently completed the game on "LEGENDARY" and despite that, I'm still addicted. If for no other reason than to own HALO, you must own an XBOX. It's that good, it's worth every cent of $300 or whatever the XBOX and HALO cost together now. (I paid $350 and don't regret it one bit.) And MULTIPLAYER! Can you say unending fun? Frag 'em boys and girls, watch the shadows and grab those rocket launchers!

this was a really good game along the lines of both gameplay and graphics alike. ya it could be improved some graphics wise but other than that it was a great game. the only thing i didnt like was the fact that you couldnt use the banshee in multiplayer. the people here that gave it really bad ratings, namely the people who gave it a rating of 1, seem to me like they are more of PS2 fans. i read one persons review and he said that he thought the controlls sucked. that by far is his opinion. i like the PS2 controller over the xbox one even though i prefere xbox over PS2. also people said that halo got boring quike and that people should by the GTA games instead. i got tired of the GTA games quiker than i got tired of Halo. When you beat the GTA games what is left to do, no multiplayer unless you have the PC versions, sure you could start a new file and play it all over again but it wouldnt be as much fun because you would no what to do. At lest in Halo you can beat it multiple times on different difficulty levels with each time playing being a little different than the last. plus you have alot of different multiplayer types to choose from with bot split screen and system link. when Halo 2 comes out this year there will also be the option to go live with xbox live. and just to mention it i do think Halo should have been rated teen, there just isnt enough blood for it to be given a mature rating.

this ranks with the others above as the king of games. I personally say first person shooters stink but this grabbed my atention. the gameplay controls are diffrent then what im used to. graphics are good espeacily the creative aliens and weapons and grenade explosions.I'd say this game will have prisoner for a few months to a year. the multi player is my personal favorite and the fact i can hit the others with the tanks. but the just truth of the body is that its just another first person shooter

This game is the best FPS game ive ever played. the graphics are so good that they could only be made possible with the power of the X! I cant wait for halo 2 to come out. it will be the best game since the first. I dont think that this game would look so good on any other system than XboX.It beats Ps2 by a longshot.

I had bought Halo christmas 2001 and yes I still do play it. But come on people I think it is almost time to move on. By no means am I putting down Halo, which is still the game to beat I first saw the trailer of this game last year sometime and almost cried of joy the first time I saw it! The graphics are so much better now because of a new engine, and unlike for the first halo, the developers are bumpmapping everything from the start instead of just adding it in later! New weapons, vehicles, ennemies, and more great music. Also I just found the Halo 2 E3 demo movie with actual in game footage. The marines were driving the warthog and the chief was shooting a sweet new weapon from the turret. Also the chief can now jump onto ghosts with ennemies flying them and kick out the user! So YES Halo is still the best game. But Halo 2 will soon, by soon I mean in over a year, take Halo's place as the new game to beat.

There is only one thingyou can say about halo, it rocks. And anyone who says different either sucks at the game or is a PS2/Gamcube owner. My frineds and i have played this game right when it came out till now. Yes we slowed down sometimes but now we are going strong again. Oh yeah if you havent linked up your Xbox to play, you are really missing out.
