I alawys wantd a XBOX and after i got one i got games like NFL Fever. They were good but after I got HALO I thro them away.nothing can compete with HALO not even Playstaysien2 games like Vice city that dont even have two player feacheres let alone 4player! if you have an XBOX then get HALO if you don't have an XBOX then get one and get HALO!!!

I think Halo is an excellent game for Xbox. I think the only other Xbox game that even comes close to how great it is is Splinter Cell. I have never played Halo2 so i can't say anything about that. The guns have to be the best part of the game. And the veichles are a giant highlight too. I think that Halo is a great game for Xbox. Worth the money for a change.

this game is the best game ever made for xbox. its totally worth buying xbox just to play the halo series. I dont even have to say any thing about this game just play it for yourself. The only thing is that there should be more guns. But halo next will fix that problem.

I and many of my friends believe that Halo is the best thing to happen.I mean look at the graphics,storyline,sound etc. It's just a very fun game! The graphics are awsome,the weapons are off the hook,and the story is just plain interesting. How the heck can someone say something negative about it? As I read some of the reviews,they said that it dragges out to much and that it gets you to hyped up. But to me that's the whole fun of the game. If it all ended in one game and didn't want you to wonder what's going to happen next it wouldn't be fun! Whoever doesn't really appreciate Halo isn't a true gamer!

There is NO game better then halo...until halo 2!!! Halo is the greatest there is the story line is awesome the controls are easy to figure out. The covenant is funny(the grunts are neway) the AI is great, like if you shoot too many of your many they'll start attacking you, and the fact that the enormous hunters aren't so tough if you know how to handle them, i can kill them with one bullet 2 on a bad day. The guns are great, and the game is so addicting. Usually i take about a month off but usually i don't make it that long without having to beat down some grunts, or a big swarm of flood, and from what i hear halo 2 is going to be even better, you are supposed to be able to destroy any vehicle, and from what i hear your supposed to be able to weild the bad a$$ saber some elites carry, it's supposed to have more aliens, and then the weapons like the battle rifle and dual oozie looking guns, i forget what they are, and i believe it's going to have like 3 or 4 new grenades. and the marines have a new black armor that looks kinda like masterchiefs and their supposed to be better. And its gunna have a few levels on earth so it's looking very promising well that's all i have to say

yeah halo was a good game but its getting old, i've played so many people online and with friends and there friends and it seems that everyone can play but they're all $#< remove me > at !, i need a challenge bad, so if theres anyone out there who thinks they can match up to me com on i'm waiting, even the number one halo player couldn't beat me. i need challenge. if ya using xbox connect on the internet my player name is Laguna on the server cows with guns.

The halo on xbox kinda stinks compared to the new PC version.. How can you people say it never gets boring?? Maybe the first time you play it it dont but after awhile it gets very boring! Most of the guns suck. Only like 4 types of aliens(jackal,hunter,grunt,elite). The graphics are by far the best tho and so is the sound. Not many vehicles either.(warthog,ghost,tank,banshee) But Halo is no doubt in the top 10 for best games made so far. One of the best features are the aliens talking. Like if you die you will hear a grunt say "i got his gun!" or when you kill an elite a grunt will say "he took down an elite!" I think i heard a few cuss lol, but im not sure about that. And its very fun to launch warthogs into the sky with rocket launchers! This game is a MUST HAVE!!

I agree with the dude on august 28 but i explained that pretty good and there is a cool glitch u no the holes on legendary my stupid old friend loser old friend Mike fell down there I was above him he broke my fall and we were stuck in one of the pits it was wicked awesome well i rate this game 10/10 for all the exciting things and newsflash Halo 2 is comin out April 18 2004

Halo is the most unreal game ever as it stands! still waiting on halo 2 which should be even better, cuz there taking there sweet time making it. But this is the kind of game a person can get right into and wont drop the control for hours. what makes this game complete is a system link.....when you get 8-12 guys all playing longest, its a blood bath and i love it! keep up the good work x-box

When you think about another FPS game you think they're all the same, but when you play Halo it's a whole different story. For the people who say it's boring, I'd like to see you get every badge on the game (add legendary to your list last and the last two levels will be unrealistically hard But I have them all anyway). There is no way this game can be boring until maybe Halo 2 comes out.

Halo is Dope as all h< remove me > at #%!! It is outright the best FPS ever! However Halo 2 hasn't actually hit the streets yet, which may actually be better than the first one if that is at all humanly possible. But if there is anyone out there who knows the few little problems Halo did have, it's bungie. Therefore, they've had all the time in the world to work out those little glitches in the first one, and add all the wonderful things to the second one that they didn't have time to cram into Halo before it's original release date with the XBOX. Case in Point; Newer,better weapons,the brutes,some tasty new vehicles,and best of all better marine and Covenant AI. I know this is simply a Halo review, but I am just as excited about the second installation as I was about the first one. I know I've preordered my copy, Have You?? I've played and beaten Halo on all three difficulties and loved every minute of it!! The game is purely a perfect model of what a FPS should be. I've said my piece about the game, Everyone whose enjoyed it are not alone. If you haven't played it, don't let me convince you; You can judge it just nicely on your own.

I may of only got to level 2 (I did'nt get a chance to play for long) When I switched the game on I was thinking it might not be worth as all the hype every one was making. How I was wrong, firstly ill bash at the gameplay!
I started and thought why can't I move myself and thought it might be like the start of half-life. But I just needed to press a button and i'm free. You get a good gun early in the game so you shouldn't get bored quickly unless you like barbie. If your looking for gameplay you should come to halo, if you have the right console that is , every second is a thrill like shooting your worst enemy in the face and whatever you shoot will probably end up dead. And I assure you there is no possible way to run out of ammo soon!
Graphics.
to be honest they ant the sharpest graphics possible but they get better from the start,i think. If you could take graphics from another game it probably be metal gear solid 2. But they are sharp enough.
Fun factor.
ding! ding! ding! ding! and its top from the fun factor! And unless you read and watch nature stuff, this is a blast. No matter whats happening you must enjoy it! And if you don,t love you should be beaten with an iron bar for insanely insane acts of madness1. Die! weirdos! die! And aliens trying to kill me!
Value for money
There is no human way not to buy this if you have an xbox! Evben if its all the cash in your wallet.
OVERALL
This game is a de-un-enjoyable thing of beauty.
NOW GET AN XBOX HALO AND STAY IN YOUR HOMES TO PLAY HALO EVERY DAY!

The best game ever created is Halo. Aside its awsomeness, it is still the best game ever. It is the best game because of the co-op play and the multiplayer. The mulitiplaer is the best asset of halo. Its missions were also incredible. There wil only be 2 games greater than halo.{Halo 2 and Halo 3, when they make it.} If you think brute force is better than halo u deserved to be shot. On a scale {from 1-1,000,000,000} most games would be between 35-40. Brute Force is at a whopping 0. Halo tops the scale at 2,000,000,000.

Halo is one of the best games on the planet. I admit that it does have room for improvement but Bungie really wasn't allowed the time they wanted. But for Halo 2, Bungie is give ample time to perfect and the game and make it how they finally want it to look and feel. All you idiots out there who gave Halo one star should realy play the game longer. Most of you who did give it one star said you only played for like 5 minutes. That won't even get you to the captain on the first level. And multi player mode really doesn't get good till you get mor that 2 people in it. Trust me I took the time to beat the entire game on legendary, and all of you ding dongs who said it was too easy or wasn't hard enough probably were too afraid to get past the first level on the easy setting. Yea the game does have glitches, but that makes it all the moe better on multi player mode just think of it as more places to hide. The game is actualy very original, Bungi was the first company to make a first person shooter game like this. The first being Marathon if I remember correctly, but all you people with Microsucks ( microsoft ) operating sistems wouldn't know that. Your lifespan is very good, if you watch your sheild and your butt, untill you get to heroic or legendary you should be able to go through it with no tactics just guns blazing. That's how good your lifespan is. Sound is very good in this game, all the music is beutifly orcastrated. You can easily tell were the enemy, with a stereo system, not surround sound just two speakers with you tv. This game is very very fun I think all of you with xboxs sould get this game. And all of you who gave it one star and said you would rather play ps2 or gamecube or some other system, DO IT. In conclusion this game is very good.

This is the, uncontested, best game on any console which HAS ever been made (Halo 2 will be better). You can keep all your "Vice City" for your PS2 and your "Zelda" for your Gamecube, but they are pale compared to Halo. Halo shot Vice City and Zelda down. Halo is the best on earth. Halo is the reason I have an Xbox. : ) Here are some catagories of the game...
Gameplay 10/10:
The gameplay is the best you can get from a shooter or most games. It is so fluid, you know, it isn't soiled by hard enemies or alternative game modes which spoil it. Driving is cool. Flying is the best experiance you'll get from a shooter. On foot the action is non-stop team-tied-solo fight fest. Gameplay makes the game great.
Graphics 10/10:
Great, clear, kick < remove me > at $$ graphics. You can see the individual blades of grass when you look down. When you shoot water it parts in the blow. And explosives act like depth-charges in water. As for the water, it is just so real!!! You can't get much better from a game before 2003. It's great. The fire is great and goes out after time, rather than staying lit despite snow and wind like in other games. The people are realistic and so is their movement. Overall, the graphics are great and to get better you'll have to wait for Halo 2 and Half-Life 2. Count the days and play Halo in the meanwhile.
Sound Quality 10/10:
The sounds are great. The voice actors are great at bringing out emotions and the sound quality of Halo does justice. Explosions are great. You really know it's an explosion and not just a baloon pop recorded. It's great. Gun noises also. All you need is surround sound. If not, It's still great.
Difficulty 10/10:
The difficulty is not set. You have four different difficulty settings so your never over-challenged or bored. It's great. Even the rock-hard flood don't spoil the experiance.
Overall: 10/10
The best game yet on any console.
