HALO IS #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Halo is the best XBOX game ever created, but because they came out with Halo 2 it's now dethroned. The graphics are unbelieveable and the story line of the game is pretty good too. They could have made it a bit harder considering I've beat on every difficulty 3 or 4 times. I think that they should've had real music not the cheap music at the beginning, they should've had Eminem or 50 cent. I liked how you could do a multiplayer campaign and how you could have up to 16 players going at it at once. Personally I've only played with 4 and that's hard enough. I would have liked it more if you had've been able to fly the Banshee in The Deathmatchs, I heard that in Halo 2 you can.
If you could got the Banshee i would have rated it 10.
I bought this game with the XBOX system, another game (Amped:Freestyle snowboarding) and a controller for $350.00
I would have payed $100 for Halo alone. I think that they should have made the Hunters a bit hard to kill and made them more dangerous,(There so stupid they wind up with there arm and swing all you got to do is side step and you can unload a clip in there back) and made the Yellow Elites less harder to kill and less dangerous. You got quite abit of life but in lengendary you get shot 4 times and your half dead, but I guess that's why they called it lengendary. I could go through the campiagn in easy with my eyes closed and my hands tied behind my back, It's to easy for people who haven't even played it before, I recommend that everybody starts at the difficulty Normal.
I like the idea of Plasma Grenades that stick to vehicles and Convenant, but don't like the look of the Assualt Rifle or Rocket launcher. The flood was a good idea mutated zombie things that you can blow off there limbs kinda like Grand Theft Auto:3 or Vice City. Would have like to have know how the flood ended up with a pile of human weapons when all that crashed into Halo was a single ship. O.K i'm done picking the game apart all in all it's a Awesome Game!

This game is by far.......the.....most incredible game iv'e ever played it has so much dept thought put into it it's one of those games you just can never get bored of oh my god the gameplay is absolutely superb you can hit, shoot, even stick granades to enemys and watch them scream for last life of throw a covernant vechiles. The graphics a incredible you get the feel of furture reality gaming i'ts superb. Also alot of thought has gone into this game i haven't come across anything that seems strange no glitches no nothing this is very original in it's own way the sound is very good especially when your parents go out turn your surround sound HI-FI on and blast outs the SFX and the tunes it's great if you want a killer first person shooter that'll have you playing for hours on end of everyday 24/7 buy halo and if the second ones as good as they say it is were in for a suprise. Well the game has everything a person could want in a game it has cool guns blood vehicles cool charaters and pefect detail theres not much that its missing just a few small glicthes that make it funner the mission mode is awsome with eneamies everywhere and plenty of room to move around with an enviroment this big u can either rush in or just sneak around and ambush large group of eniamies the multi player mode allows you to vs your finds in close combat areas or lage fields and the abilty to fight with your hands guns or vehicles the game has everything u need

I agree with the guy that wrote bout this game on the 28th of august 2003 hes right ALL you noobies dont rate this game 1 star your noobies and dont say oops this game looks sucky just like you say about the game pikmin ahhaahh it looks so stupid once you get to play it you understand it there are so many idiots out there that dont stick to the flow of the game they think o well its boring since I dont get a gun till later on the first lvl this game sucks my friend got it he said that the wal-mart dude said it was one of the best games of the year I cant believe all the idiots out there O well this game is so fun to me dont think its stupid cause then your mising out on a lot of stuff you idiots well multiplayer is decent and I cant wait until halo 2 comes out well I like getting in the banshees flying I didnt make a review to tell how stupid some people are its just its not right to rate this game 1 out of 10 well I rate this game 10/10 if there was more id rate it more then unlimited.

The best game ever created is Halo. Aside its awsomeness, it is still the best game ever. It is the best game because of the co-op play and the multiplayer. The mulitiplaer is the best asset of halo. Its missions were also incredible. There wil only be 2 games greater than halo.{Halo 2 and Halo 3, when they make it.} If you think brute force is better than halo u deserved to be shot. On a scale {from 1-1,000,000,000} most games would be between 35-40. Brute Force is at a whopping 0. Halo tops the scale at 2,000,000,000.

I may of only got to level 2 (I did'nt get a chance to play for long) When I switched the game on I was thinking it might not be worth as all the hype every one was making. How I was wrong, firstly ill bash at the gameplay!
I started and thought why can't I move myself and thought it might be like the start of half-life. But I just needed to press a button and i'm free. You get a good gun early in the game so you shouldn't get bored quickly unless you like barbie. If your looking for gameplay you should come to halo, if you have the right console that is , every second is a thrill like shooting your worst enemy in the face and whatever you shoot will probably end up dead. And I assure you there is no possible way to run out of ammo soon!
Graphics.
to be honest they ant the sharpest graphics possible but they get better from the start,i think. If you could take graphics from another game it probably be metal gear solid 2. But they are sharp enough.
Fun factor.
ding! ding! ding! ding! and its top from the fun factor! And unless you read and watch nature stuff, this is a blast. No matter whats happening you must enjoy it! And if you don,t love you should be beaten with an iron bar for insanely insane acts of madness1. Die! weirdos! die! And aliens trying to kill me!
Value for money
There is no human way not to buy this if you have an xbox! Evben if its all the cash in your wallet.
OVERALL
This game is a de-un-enjoyable thing of beauty.
NOW GET AN XBOX HALO AND STAY IN YOUR HOMES TO PLAY HALO EVERY DAY!

I think Halo is an excellent game for Xbox. I think the only other Xbox game that even comes close to how great it is is Splinter Cell. I have never played Halo2 so i can't say anything about that. The guns have to be the best part of the game. And the veichles are a giant highlight too. I think that Halo is a great game for Xbox. Worth the money for a change.

Halo I must say is pretty awesome because it has excellent graphics especially for being made when the xbox came out. The graphics i would estimately give 9/10 because the videos at the end of the levels lacked style, but it was still good. The gameplay value was good but multiplayer mode was slightly a dissapointment because you could not set the outher players to CPU so you HAD to play with humans! The sounds were excellent but why could'nt you use your own music??? My friends tell me the pc version is way better because you cannot predict what other people online are going to play like. And it is completely like a new game altogether. The reason I love this game is because of the campaign mode which tops everything I have learnt about games before: You can have different difficulties for which type of player you are. The hardest mode would have to be the last one there which they describe as suicide and guess what? It is suicide! My first impressions to this game were "Just another FPS!" But oh boy was I wrong! It took me a day to complete!24Hrs . But do not! Do not let this put you off. I had this game yesterday and I think that I will be playing it for a long time like the RPG Phantasy star! Overall this game would get 9/10 which is not average! So if you dont get Halo 1 Get Halo 2!

This game is the ultimate first person shooter game.Also having awsome graphics this game is the reason Xbox is made.You can't find a better game for anything else.Ghost Recon comes very close but Halo is #1.I can't wait for the next Halo.This game has the best sound to go with the graphics.It sounds like the real thing.My dad's in the milatary so I would know.The Storyline is extraordinary.The books give you some background info, so I recamend that you read them, I have.The graphics show reloading unlike other games such as Turok.this makes it more Challenging.I dare you to find a better game.OH!You can't, there is no better game.The only game that's better is Halo 2.So how bout that!if you do find a better game concact me.But wait!You will, that game is called Halo 2.What else can I say besides this game ROCKS!There is no better Sci-Fi game.If anyone doesn't like this game it's their loss e.I don't see why anyone can hate this game.I only 12 years old but in Split-screen There is no one that can stop me!The 4 player mode is awesome!But XBox live will make it the best thing in the world.

I discovered halo the first christmas it was out, my parents bought me halo and an xbox. I've played it every week at my friends house, 2 of which are wordly ranked, 5 and 22 in the world. They are farely good, but sometimes i will beat them. I would get halo of course because of the split screen settings, and/or system link play. The co-op and campaign settings are alright, but ive played better. If you end up getting halo I would recommend going to www.xbconnect.com. It is a live play, that tricks your xbox, into thinking your playing a local system link play, but your hooked up by the internet to other players around the world. First, you log on to xbconnect, ITS ALL FREE. On your xbox you go to system link play. When it says your looking for game, join a server and the map will come up. If you have a mac go to www.postpose.com. Most players are gods at the game, so train hard before you start playing. I hope this was useful. If you want to play me get on xb my name is {eSu}-bilbo-. Good luck and play hard. I hope you've found this forum useful. Also masterchief is not a cyborg, duhhhh, read the books before you say some stuff. They are very good by the way.

This is no doubt one of the greatest games to ever come out for a video game console. I love reading the reviews of other people who obviously blow. And they complain about how its so hard. But it really isn't if you are any good at video games this is the best game around. Relentless action and a decent plot too. This game cannot and will not be beaten by any game for any other system. There are several guns that all have their own advantages and disadvantages. Also there are some really cool plasma guns that add another great dimension to the game. There are also plasma grenades which are always really fun. Halo is probably the best multiplayer shooter around. Every weekend me and 15 other guys system link. Its the greatest. And I can't wait until Halo 2 comes out! And if you don't already have Halo it's really cheap now. It's only about thirty dollars brand new and twenty bucks used. If you are looking for a fast great multiplayer game Halo is for you! You'll never get bored of this great game it has relentless action and never-ending combat. The graphics are smooth and high quality, All the things you need for a game can all be found in Halo

There is NO game better then halo...until halo 2!!! Halo is the greatest there is the story line is awesome the controls are easy to figure out. The covenant is funny(the grunts are neway) the AI is great, like if you shoot too many of your many they'll start attacking you, and the fact that the enormous hunters aren't so tough if you know how to handle them, i can kill them with one bullet 2 on a bad day. The guns are great, and the game is so addicting. Usually i take about a month off but usually i don't make it that long without having to beat down some grunts, or a big swarm of flood, and from what i hear halo 2 is going to be even better, you are supposed to be able to destroy any vehicle, and from what i hear your supposed to be able to weild the bad a$$ saber some elites carry, it's supposed to have more aliens, and then the weapons like the battle rifle and dual oozie looking guns, i forget what they are, and i believe it's going to have like 3 or 4 new grenades. and the marines have a new black armor that looks kinda like masterchiefs and their supposed to be better. And its gunna have a few levels on earth so it's looking very promising well that's all i have to say

I love this game for the simply amazing graphics and the best gameplay ever!!!!!I love the smell of fried covenent in the morning.I"m a Halo freak,I mean running around shootin those guys it"s fun alright, the fun parts when you get a rocket ohh ya.Like my favorite vehicle is the all powerful BANSHEE!!!.That thing rocks that makes halo a fun game.Also the array of vehicls at your disposl rocks.Get this game now.I love the powerful weapons dude the best one in split screen is the sniper rifle.Also the coolest alien is the jackel,I like his shield.But those flood guys freak me out man they gave me night mares.Also the cooperative mode is fun certainly on the snow levels.The only vehicle that stinks is the ghost you"d have better luck trying to run them over than shoot them.Like I said befor the banshee is the best with it"s ability to fly and because it has some pretty heavy fire power.It has the same secondary gun as the hunters built in fuel rod cannon.The hunters can be killed by jumping over them and hitting them in the back.

i got halo when it first came out and wat really blew me away was almost everythng.But there could of been so much improvement. im sure this will show up in halo 2. The covenent were incredibly textured and i love multi player especially my opponents. but i think they could of made larger levels for the player who love 16 players at a time.they could of added alot more weapons. I loved this game but theres plenty of room for improvement.Especially when they talk and push buttons.

me and my friends have made a game that we call C.A.R.S (cill any rolling sucker). u get two worthogs and just ram eachother constantly until one of u flips over. when and only when they flip over are u aloud to run ver them. for extr fun uu can have somebody or people throw grenades randomly into the field. this mini game best works on blood gultch.
but disregarding the multi player i had fun with this game and i enjoyed it. But u have to be a shooter freak to really enjoy this game like me because basicly all ur doing is shooting the crap out of covenent.
And if u queit halo cause its hard ten ur a srry gamer cause thats like saying u dont like ninja gaiden cause its hard. the difficulty is wat Halo is based on.(if u play heroic or legendary.)
for a cool little thing to try...
create a new profile and name it exactly as shown .fortune and it will read a message like a fortune cookie.its cool

This game is awesome. All the enemys are cool. My favorite is the hunter. The flood is hard to beat but is fun. I cant wait for halo 2 to come out. It has the greatest graphics ever. I even beat the maw on lengendar twice with a partner. My favorite level is the library. My favorite weapon is the shotgun. My favorite vehicle is the warthog. I've found a lot of glitches in this game. It is fun. Who ever doesn't like halo has never played it. Come on it is the best game ever. Halo 2 is going to be the best. Some times the music freaks me out but thats what makes it fun. The gameplay is awesome. I get hooked on the for hours. The graphics are so good because when I crash the warthog it is like realy recking. I thought it was sad when captain keys died. The best part is when you fight hunters. The sniping is awesome. I can pick off enemies far away and not get hurt. I love to fly the banshee and take down other banshees. The marines are funny because of what they say. I didn't mean to kill 3 of them but they were killing me. But then I killed some covenant and they became my friends again.

Holy crapola man, this game has non-stop action from scene to scene. It is the best game I have ever played. Bill Gates, you da man for inventing xbox. It has the best games and graphics. Anyways, Halo is really the best game for xbox and yes it was game of the year. So anybody looking for an awesome game, get this one and you wont regret it. Halo is great for multiplayer and just the normal campaign. It has many great levels and weapons as well as many covenants (bad guys) for you to slaughter. There area four difficulty levels, easy, normal, heroic and legendary so its not going to be those games that you can beat in four days on all the difficulty levels. After beating games on one difficulty level you usually get bored of the game, but not with Halo. Like I said before, it is the best game ever and you will never get bored of it. There are tons of weapons, grenades, enemies and other little things. Some of the best weapons are the sniper rifle, the plasma grenade, the rocket launcher, the plasma pistol and the needler. Yes there are other weapons, about ten more than I mentioned. So if you are looking for a thriller game, get Halo and you wont regret it. I know I didn't.

Halo is the most awsome game I have ever seen. The Covenent Aliens are all diverse in the way you can beat them. Elites are easy to kill for some reason. My favorite alien race so far is the Hunters. Their hard to kill but you can still have fun with them. And then you can steal alien weapons and kick their butts with them. This game is the best I have ever seen and am definately ready for the second one. I rented it and have been playing since Feb. 6th and am still on the 3rd level. Its just that challenging!! But thats why it rocks and should be bought by everyone. If you don't have an X-box, go get one!!!!! Or get it for PC. I hope the next one can stand up to its predecessor.
I heard that over 3 million copies have been bought. If that doesn't make it the best game ever than nothing will!!! Me and my freinds play it all the time. Its so fun to just melee grunts and not shoot them. I'm glad their are no codes for this game because it would make it stupid. Invincibility while fighting a Hunter would be nice, but an over shield would work just as fine.

It was a rainy Friday evening when my best friend brought his X-box around with some game called "Halo". A week later I had a green and black box of my own.
However after having the game for a few months now, there are holes that have started to appear in the gameplay that I hope will be rectified in its Sequel. As another reviewer 'Murray' pointed out the biggest and most apparent pitfall is a lack of three or four player co-operative mode. It was with a sigh of relief I found out that Halo has a two player co-operative mode something that games like Goldeneye and Quake have lacked for years. However it would make a pleasant change to the endless amount of Cyborg vs Cyborg violence to have three mates along side blasting away flood or riding the oh-so-lovely Scorpion tank.
Another problem is after a while, playing Halo on your own gets well.....boring. It does have an interesting plot, fathomable characters and graphics that are worthy of what Microsoft have boasted. However, some levels tend to become long and dull and lately, I find myself sitting down to play a single player campaign and looking at levels like 'The Library' with a wince and a groan. Of course even levels like the one mentioned are fun when you have that x-boxing friend over. But if your like me and don't have anyone in your immediate household who is willing or skillfull enough to play it does become tedious. The stages tend to become long and once the game is completed I imagine most gamers screaming out for extra levels, hidden stages or unlockable cheat codes. Which brings me to my next gripe.
Upon searching around I have found there to be little to no known cheat codes for Halo. You know, those magical words like 'infinite ammo' and 'invulnerablity'. They would potentially add that extra spice that makes playing the game on Legendary mode a treat when an endless amount of plasma grenades are adhered to enemy grunts, elite or hunters. Unless Microsoft are holding out on us on the codes I would sincerley hope that more depth is created in the area of secrets and codes in the next round of Halo games.
Finally I have to say that no matter how independent or skilled a gamer might be, mulitplayer levels are just no fun when your the only one playing. You know what I'm going to say next. Bots, please!! Adding and AI system to control silmulated enemys with even the most pedestrian of combat skills would make a whole new element of the game exciting and available for single players like yours truly.
In all fairness to the deisgners and programmers, these faults were generated over a loooooooooong period of gameplay and I could quite easily write a review five times as long on what I like about the game. But hey what fun would that be? As previously stated I sincerely hope that these problems are given serious consideration in the spawning of Halo 2 (and 3?) as they would make an already outstanding adventure game perfect. Thanks for letting me vent!!!!
