Why Complain |
| Dave from Australia says (20/Mar/2003): |
Doa3 is my favourite games now I have left the Tekken series but it's not to it's full abilitly. I think that you should be able to unlock more chararcters and see the items collected from survival mode like in Doa2. Most of the comments mode by other owners is about the end boss. So what if he shoot stuff at you it can be counted. I like how it all visually distored player's from Doa2 would know that Tengu projected air or something. Anyway I think that Ein is the best!

READ THIS!!! |
| Andy says (14/Mar/2003): |
Graphics: Heh. They said Halo has the best graphics on X-Box.. Boy were they wrong. DOA 3's graphics defines the Box. The best part of the game is watching the cinimatics(preferable Christie and Helena.)
10 out of 10
Sound: The sound is okay. Sometimes when you play as Tina there is an echo when you do one of her moves.
8 out of 10
Playability: The game was short, but I still have fun playing the game over again. The Survival mode is a huge challenge, which adds up to the playability.
Overall: This game is great. Every X-Box owner should own this game.

KICK ASS GAME! |
| A gamer from Burnsville, Minnesota says (11/Mar/2003): |
DOA3 is one of the best fighting games i've played. The graphics are very realistic and so are the girls. It's very creative that every person has their own fighting style because sometimes when i play a game they all have the same fighting style. I think next time they come out with a new fighting game they should add Tae Kwon Do. Thanx for taking the time to read my message. Seeya!

| MO Semakieh from Peoria, IL USA says (5/Mar/2003): |
this game is awsome i love it the graphics is great the gameplay rocks when i use to have tekken i said it was the best game ever but not anymore mortal kombat was kind of good but still it sucks compared to the dead or alive 3 i play it 2 hours a day i had it for 1 year and still playing it what i dont like about this game is that omega i hate that guy his so cheap i like the way in takken when they put devil (tekken 2) as the last guy but still every thing else is awsome and beside its know $29.99 i dont belive it. so who ever like fighting games get this trust me
|
It was great@ |
| Jack Reeds says (5/Mar/2003): |
DOA was the best series ever! Doa3 was a little short on what they should have done(like translations :P) And Tengu was way cooler than Omega could ever be! They game play was kool and the secret character Ein rocks (Also really cheap) Overall Doa3 was the best even though DOA2 was pretty kool. You guys sghould also try the DOAX (Dead ior Alive Extereme Beach Volleyball)
Never have the babes of DOA looked better (espicially Helena or Tina :)

DOA3 |
| ben from ch,nj says (3/Mar/2003): |
I picked up this game 2 days ago and i was instantly hooked. not only are the graphics wonderful but it is one of the only fighters where a characters story line isnt horrible. I like the feel of the game and the controls are easy to pick up. this is my first DOA game and now im wondering y i didnt get the earlier ones. My only regret is that it is really short.

This game ROCKS!!! |
| Tony Martin says (3/Mar/2003): |
Dead or alive 3 is the best. Omega is pretty cheesie. Should be a little harder. It has awsome gaphics!! Ther is a wicked variaty of costumes. Sweet ass 3D moves and some steaming hot chiks. The tag team mathes are sweeeet!!! The tag team moves are out of this world! I gave it a 10 star because ther are tons of moves, chicks, and one of the best fighting games out there!

DOA3 |
| zack from Bel Air, Maryland, USA says (14/Feb/2003): |
One player was too easy! It only took me 3 hours to beat it, and i beat omega on the first try. the only reason i gave it a 6 is because the 2-player is cool. I thought Omega would be a lot harder. Whoever has played this game and thind Omega is hard shouldn't be playing nintendo at all. They should be reading or something because oviosly X-Box is not their thing!

DOA3 |
| Daimond from New York, USA says (11/Feb/2003): |
The game is awsome and i had it for a year. The moves are great even though some arent even realistic. Tag team also makes something new so the game wouldnt be boring, like the team throws it looks so cool. But one thing is omega he is such an a$$, he shoots fire when your not even close to him thats cheap. The cutscenes are also awsome they look realistic and some look real nice: example helena and christie
|
A game with really good graphics |
| Brandon from Singapore says (10/Feb/2003): |
Well, the game looks real and the characters are life-like. Their fighting stances, styles and combos are also made smoother than Doa2. But i do prefer fighting the boss in Doa1 or 2 rather than Omega..Once u know the tricks he used, its is pretty easy to beat him. Althought the lighting bolts he fires can't be blocked. I feel that the storymode should have more conversation between characters so that u can understand the origin of the character you are using more. Other than that, the game is great and the girls are pretty. ^_^

Excellent game with some REAL crap parts |
| tcabeen from Stamford, CT, USA says (5/Feb/2003): |
Blah blah visuals gameplay etc. You already know these are the hilights of the game. Cute girls, skirts that blow up, lots of jiggling. Yes, it's neat, but let's discuss my gripes:
1. The end boss SUCKS. They change the perspective, give him a GROSS advantage, and make him FAR too easy to beat. (block the blasts, use attacks that don't knock him down, but just whittle away at his health. If you knock him down, jump or block low to avoid shockwave of his impact.) That is WEAK. Give me a boss who is bigger, badder, and tougher than the last person I fought. Not someone who uses screwed up perspective, distorted and annoying visual effects, and really chickensh** long distance attacks. I find it offensive.
2. Most of the bonuses you unlock in the game are different costumes. Most of the costumes are in the PAL (Japan/Europe) version and for the NTSC (US) version, you need to have subscribed to Xbox magazine to have gotten the June 2002 booster disc. Missed it? Now you can only get it on ebay. The least Tecmo could do is offer a cheap copy on the website, or a free download. Let's be fair here.
The gameplay is good. One of my favourite parts of the engine is that it makes it easy to discourage (destroy) button-mashers. You have to THINK to win. Strategy plays an important part in beating other players. For DOA4, I suggest an extra game to unlock (a la Tekken Ball, but different obviously), the same number of features as foreign releases, and a worthy end boss. And yes, I love that they manage to incorporate bits of nudity in special features that allow it to scrape past the censors and maintain the M rating. Of course, if they released it an A rated game, I'd probably just buy that anyhow...

Great game, but that Omega dude... |
| Tom from Redding, CT, USA says (5/Jan/2003): |
DOA3 is the greatest looking, and playing game. It makes Tekken and Virtua Fighter look horrible. The game blew me away untill the Omega-Genra guy in the last stage. Every time you knock him down you lose health? Why would that happen? Why can he burn us from far away and not give us a chance to kill him? Why can't we pick him up and throw him? it took me so long to defeat him, with all but the strongest fighters. Other then that this game was awesome. Oh yeah, one more thing. Why are some people's ages N/A? Do not want people to know their age? Did they forget it or something?

Dead or Alive 3 |
| dan from portsmouth says (2/Jan/2003): |
i think that doa3 is an amazing fighting game equal if not better than the tekken series i only got an xbox this xmas and have been non stop playin this game, cant wait to get another control to kick my families a$$es. he he he.
graphics 10, gameplay 10, addiction 10, overall 10

this has been my fav game for over 6 months!!! (and it still is) |
| ryno125 says (29/Dec/2002): |
DOA3 is the best fighting game available, period. Although some people say the combos are to easy to learn. yeah, well thats probably because your getting your ass kicked in multiplayer!!! and for those people who think there arn't enough modes, well just in case you didn't notice, there's 9 of them. and if you think the learing curve is easy, well i agree, but it takes a lot longer to master. those people who only played story mode, may i suggest you pull it out again and try the other modes, i find they are alot of fun, and they have top scores, something to brag about. if i could give this game more than ten i would. it is the most addictive, intuitive, fun game i have ever played. and buy the way, learn how to use the hold button!!!

Go the cut scenes |
| Bill Fentiman from Australia says (28/Dec/2002): |
Man, this is a great fighting game. The graphics are brilliant, however, I am sad to day that they are not up to the standard of the blistering Tekken 4, but the scene with Christie in the shower is beautiful (in more than one way, if you know what I mean, heh heh).

A Good Tekken alternative |
| Jon from San Antonio, Tx, USA says (10/Dec/2002): |
DOA3 was one of the first Xbox games I played, and it still looks like one of the most visually stunning. The game's fighting engine is complex, sure there aren't a 1000 moves per character, but you have counter hits and counter throws. DOA3 proves that it isn't always about who can pummel someone the fastest, defensive players have a vast array of choices to counter attacks. DOA3's characters and story line aren't the best I've seen, it sometimes lacks a better explaination of who they are and why they're here. I like the enviroments with their multi-tear system (you can knock enemies into different sections of some stages) and there are different things to unlock, there are different modes besides just the story; which doesn't appeal that much to begin with. And they implement the tag system for DOA3 which I love, throws in a little mix into the fight.

The best fighting game out there |
| Derek from Massachusetts, USA says (28/Nov/2002): |
Doa3 has to be the best fighting game ever. The graphics are excellent the gameplay rocks (although some moves arn't that realistic.) I can't take this game out of my xbox. The lifespan of this game is at least 3 months. There isn't a best part of this game because this game just totally rocks. Doa3 is the best and thats that.

The last stage sucks, the rest is gorgeous |
| Crispijn Neirynck from Hooglede, Belgium says (24/Nov/2002): |
The game is just fantastic, the graphics are gorgeous and the gameplay is very good. The only very bad thing about the game is the last stage. The fight against 'the big boss' is just so unrealistic and absolutely not fun to do. The nice thing about DAO3 is that everything is very realistic (some moves aren't, but what the hell), the last fight in the storymode just spoiles it all. Otherwise the game would deserve a ten.

Graphics aren't everything |
| Brachlyn Miller from Murray (KY) USA says (22/Nov/2002): |
Dead or Alive 3 is a decent fighter in almost every respect. Repeat, almost every respect. We'll start with the good. The graphics engine is incredible. I've not yet seen a fighter that is on a graphic par with DOA3. The characters flow great while the interactive backgrounds are gorgeous. Tecmo and Team Ninja got a bit carried away with the female's, um, voluptuousness, which I suppose is to be expected of this franchise. The levels are multi tiered which makes for a really cool effect, especially if playing two-player. The option is also available to download new costumes off of booster discs. Now to the bad. This game's musical score is absolutly atrocious. It is quite the button masher at times. The characters are all subtitled, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The character designs are strange. Extremly sexy at times, but still strange. And the final boss is just as cheap as they can get. Mind you, not difficult, just cheap. Cheap as in the camera is hindered to your disadvantage on purpose and you take damage if he hits the ground cheap. Overall a great game to look at and play, especially if you have your TV muted and are going against a friend.

Best Game ever played. |
| Dave from Peoria Illinois USA says (13/Nov/2002): |
Doa3 Is the Best fighting game i ever played. Yeah it has its Draw backs like the story mode is stupid but i like the ending Videos. And the Graphics r the best ive seen in Fighting Games so far. DOA3 is way better then tekken. I havent played soul caliber yet so i cant compare it to that. But Doa3 is the best Fighting game so far.The character disigne is really great. The brest bounce beutifully. The hair and lothes have the most realistic movement then ay other fighting game ive played. And the Fire on the ending Videos for Tina and Lie Fang look as reall as Xbox games can get way better then any fighting game on Ps2. Ill just put it this way DOA3 is the best Fighting game ever Played.
