The melee against immortal loons is totally a winner considering it looks like a cartoon! | | Cassandra Mateiko from Brookfield, USA says (14/Mar/2002): | What's better than a whack festival demolition derby against a bunch of cleverly created maniacs? Nothing, except perhaps being those maniacs! Cel Damage is a totally original idea brought to life by a cartoon feel. Being one of the firsts to use "Cel Shading" (Images with black outlines like in a cartoon) Cel Damage is a wonderfully unique look with great playing qualities. The heart of the game is flourished with character and creativity that keep you coming back for more. And with the many different events it hardly gets tiring, and the amazingly fresh environments are easily large enough to hold all the action and crazy fun. With ten totally awesome 'toon personalities to play as you can't just help but have a good time. Each special and made with a reason, the laughs poor on as they taunt throughout game play and show you what they're made of in special intro movies and more. And, there's an array of stunning weapons each with their own personal effect that takes the game to a more zany level. Also, to back up these tricked out weapons, kooky characters, and wacky levels, there are stunning sound effects and rocking background music to delight the senses! There is some difficulty at first, with a whole new way to play a video game, and the chances if dying much higher than in your normal battle fests, but as the game proceeds you catch on, and may be perceivable of the title as the King (or Queen) of Smack! With it's wonderful graphics that are taken to a whole new light by cel shading, it's great sound bytes, comic mischief performed out by the characters of the game, playability, and multiplier possibilities I totally recommend Cel Damage to any gamer who loves a good laugh and a great game.
