The one game that makes you go insane19299

SJ from Mustang, Oklahoma says (15/Mar/2003):
Now don't get me wrong, this game is a great game. You can tell, just from the start that Bethesda(if that's how you spell it)worked extremely hard on it. The Game Is Enormous! You can do everything that your little heart desires in this game. There are some thing's that make this game slightly less than perfect though. If you're not patient enough to sit through about 300 hours of game play than this one isn't for you. It has a fairly good story line, but, like many RPGs, it goes so slow that you may not care about it ten hours into the game. Then there's the music(about one song)that makes many people ask, "Did Bethedsa get this game from a japanese torture chamber?" If you have a lot of patients, then this game is easily worth the fifty greenbacks you give to Wal-Mart. It truly is a revalation in role play gaming history. Ask yourself two questions:
1. Am I patient enough for a 300 hour game? Yes No
2. Do I like RPG games? Yes No

If you picked yes on both questions, then you should get this game. If not, then get some skateboarding or shooter game.

Exquisite19846

Kevin from Tampa, FL United States says (25/Mar/2003):
The game is awesome. A couple of my friends don't play because it is so long, but if you like long RPG's you will love this game. It has a great storyline so far, with good characters, graphics and textures. I like the first person interface, and I like the choices of race and class. I love this game and I bought it just three days ago. I am still a level three redguard knight with a longblade skill of 67, but I will improve. E-Mail if you know an easy way to get to Vas in the Sheogard Region.

The best rpg I have ever played you have to have it.19846

Ace Dover from Key West, Florida, United States of America says (24/Jul/2003):
I have never liked viedo games or anything like that but this game has gave me a new hobbie and not onlythat but it is a rpg where you control his/her destiny. Graphics are great and the story line.... ohhhh..... although it has glitches like being stuck in a door. I think this is the best game for xbox out yet. I have not yet played daggerfall or redguard but i am looking forward to playing blood moon and I think that they should make one that is compatible with xbox live to where there are other people and you can fight your freinds. As i said before this is the best game for xbox yet write me if you want to talk morrowind. thanx

Robbing Redoran Vault #141687

game_gurl101 from Katy (Texas), USA says (8/Jul/2004):
Im sorry, in my last post I totaly forgot this major thing I had for you guys that could get you lots of money! Im gonna tell you how to rob the first Redoran Vault! Arnt you lucky? ^_^

Okay, as some may know, the vaults are all in Vivec and in the canton with the house's name. But, before you go rushing over there, were gonna take a little sidequest.

I believe you go to Ginis and make your up, by foot, untill you reach a little pond with a woman beside it. She'll ask you to retrieve her ring, which fell in the water. She also says that shes a dance teacher in Ginis and that she'll give you a reward afterwards (I believe that she strongly hinted at doing "it" with her afterwards, dont remember though). Anyway, so you go down to the pond and search for it. If you really want to find it, its under the leaves somewhere, but its really hard to find, so I usually just skip it and head back up.

Once your back up look to the left of the pond, and, if you look hard enough, you will see a Wood Elf there clad in armor. Obviously the little bitch was gonna have you get her ring, then they were goning to attack you (Ive never gotten the ring, but my brother did and he said that thats what happens). So, you march over there and kick his ass! If you avoid the woman, she wont fight you, but you can kill her anyway if you want. So, after you have deafeted the Wood Elf, check him and grab his amulet. After that, you can go to Vivec and to the Redoran Canton.

Once there go to the Redoran Plaza and equip the amulet, dont use it yet though, just have it ready to use. Go to the house that, when you first enter, shows a lot of chairs and tables....and I think has a Dark Elf clad in gold armor in the corner. Yeah, plus you can go up the stairs and into a room thats in the middle. Thats where you want to go. You will see a woman in there though, so, before you open the door, cast the invisiblity spell from the amulet. Now open the door and then walk over to the dresser, open it, grab the key, and haul ass outta there. Remeber to avoid the blows from the people.

Now before you head off to the vault, you might want to grab from unhinging spells and a telepot that takes you to the nearest temple or fort. Or maybe a $#< remove me > at ! load of Sujamas. But please grab some of those things first.

Now its pretty obvious as to where you go,. To the Redoran Vault #1! I always wait until nobodys looking (by crouching) and then opening the vault, then going in and waiting until the guard goes out, then shutting the door. Now you are free to loot the entire place!!! They usually have glass armor there too, which might be worth keeping.

Now that you have done that, you may ask yourself, "Who the hell am I going to sell this stuff to?? No one has this kinda money!!!" Except one guy! Go to Caldron and go to the orc manor. On the second floor is a creature named Creeper. He has 5000 on him. I think it was that much anyway. Anyway, sell your small stuff to him first. Then sleep there, buy it back the next day and he wil have more than 5000 dollars! He refreshes his money of 5000 every day. Repeat the process until you have sold all the items you dont want.

I hope this has helped out a lot! It sure helped me! But dont thank me (if you even planned on it) thank my brother, he found out about this and told me.

Julius from Detroit, Michigan says (21/Nov/2003):
The wide open freedom of this game was simply amazing. I loved how you got to choose how you wanted to live in their world. You could bassically get a job! Even a house! I'm not a big RPG fan, but my dad had this game and I just tried it out. The first time i played, the lush world was simply awe-inspiring.

One of the reasons to own an XBOX.8350

EER from FL, USA says (9/Jul/2002):
I bought an XBOX about a month later after its release thanks to a couple of friends who showed me HALO. That was actually the first game I got for the system, and it was truly incredible. Graphics like those were not seen in many games that I owned. I thought Metal Gear Solid 2 and Final Fantasy X were the leaders in detail. I was wrong! After I beat HALO, I thought to myself, I wish they would release a game worth buying like HALO but maybe even longer. I have been a huge fan of adventure games, first person shooters, and a much bigger fan of RPGs. I am a fan of Squaresoft for its Final Fantasy franchise and own there other classics like Chrono Trigger. I hadn't really noticed what an open-ended RPG on an console was like until I read about Morrowind. I use to play EverQuest where I had a lvl 57 enchanter and just loved the fact that it was so big. I got bored, because as some of you may know, patch updates are quite annoying and fighting in groups for loot gets irritating and repetative. Well, I hadn't really heard of the older Elder Scroll games like Daggerfall (I wish I would've!), so I didn't know too much about the history. I went online and read a review about Morrowind and was instantly curious and hooked. I wanted to try a big game like this one for my XBOX. I went to a local retailer and they told me it was definitely worth it if I was an RPG fan and that I would probably be playing many hours. They were right, it was worth it! I haven't enjoyed a game for a console, especially for XBOX as much as Morrowind. I am currently pretty far I guess. My character is lvl 23 about now and I am an Imperial Knight. I have completed the main quest, but am still playing around trying to complete some quests. I love being able to walk into a town and kill people and just change the way the world works in Morrowind. About the detail, this game has a lot of it. The water is my favorite. Very similar to HALO, I love the amount of detail and how the sun reflects. Even trees and buildings can be seen reflected! This game requires a lot of hours but it is worth it if you get into it. In the beginning I thought it was quite slow, but it gets much better. Yes, it gets a little annoying when traveling from place to place because it is a BIG world, but there are spells which can speed you up (Mark and Recall). Also, don't worry but this game can actually freeze your XBOX at times. I guess sometimes there is too much for the XBOX to handle sometimes. A long story short, if you're a fan or not a fan like I was, you will love this game if you have the time and patience. This is definitely one of the reasons to own an XBOX!

ElderScrolls = First Game To Optimize Xbox's Full Capabilities.8931

A gamer from Saskatoon, Canada says (8/Aug/2002):
I was skeptical about Morrowind: The Elder Scrolls seeing as I was not that I did not find past Morrowind games interesting. But I was shocked when I rented the game to see all the different types of characters you can customize. I played for the 5 day New Release rental period, and then I went out and bought it with my next pay check. I had no idea what I got myself into. This game has a not too big world, lots of weapons, lots of armor types, many, Many spells, and LOTS of modifiers to the game which makes Elder Scrolls have a HUGE replay value. I was wondering when the game was going to begin to start winding up... but after 1.5 weeks of constant playing, I have only begun to find out ONE possible storyline. Whats more, is once you get high enough rank in the house you have chosen, they will build you your own place to call home. Mind you, this 'home' has its own marketplace. The Music is good, but kinda suspensful at times. There is NO POSSIBLE WAY this game could have been put on PS2 or Cube. Aside from the small glitches which are unavoidable in any game, this is definately a buy,.. considering it is such a long game. It will keep you occupied until the next large-scale game comes out. Happy Gaming >:)

A few problems, but still incredible9312

Brandon from Mineapolis, MN says (29/Aug/2002):
This game is great. I just recently beat it after two months of play, going through every single storyline quest (which, you find out later, isn't at all necessary). It gets a little boring and tedious for a while, then exciting again. Definately worth it if you've got the time. Some things are a pain, though: most of all, the limited merchant inventories (you have to wait 24 hours before they restock), and a few points at which you can get stuck in the landscape with no way of getting out (mostly in mountainous regions, such as the ashlands). Also, concerning shops and merchants, they have a limited amount of gold on them; I don't think you'll find a trader with more than 2000 gold available, yet you come across items worth 15,000+ in your travels. These just get thrown away if you can't use them. The game isn't the best, but it's absolutely awesome anyway. Do something fun the second time through, like join the assassins' guild, or become a vampire (my personal goal).

RPG Heaven9650

A gamer from North Carolina, USA says (15/Sep/2002):
This game is extaordinary!!! - It allows you the freedom to be whatever you want to be and it's your world to do with as you wish. You can even decorate your abode with just about anything available. Not only are there exotic towns to explore but caves and passages exist everywhere. I like the ability to choose between 1st and 3rd person views as 1st person often gets me dizzy where the 3rd person does not. The graphics are great especially when water walking and you can look down thru the water and see everything there - It might have used a little more color here and there but that's just a personal preference. The sounds are great, especially in the caves and ancestoral tombs and the thunder storms make you jump. There are quests and more quests and so many other diversions that you can do that there are hours upon hours of gametime. I like being able to actually see the enemies like the racers and netches in the air rather than having the game stop every little way to generate the enemies like in Final Fantasy games. And with all this there are moments of humor in the game that will make you smile. Like a ship full of pillows or the guy falling from the sky. I play strictly rpg/adventure games and have for years but this one is like the proverbial good book that you can't put down - This is a game that I can't stop playing. Let's hope that the X-box will take notice and give us more like it.

beats all other games for thex box9650

Aaron the redgaurd from juneau, alaska, usa says (28/Sep/2002):
I thought about this game when i went to the block buster and read it and instantly knew it would be the best game i ever played.

i really like to make my own class and abilities. i always use the red gaurd. i mean int his game you really need and all around character. i mean if you make a character all out mage and nothing else he/she will be slow as could posibly be and cant carry anything. this game is about using your brain and alot of it. i mean the main quest is long and hard as it is the first time around like finding the camps and the burial grounds.

im at about level 28 and still going strong. she hass nothing but constamt effect items and 757str. , 1625 int., 747 willpower, agility 119, speed of 191, personality of 128 and luck of 1614 =->~.

And theres supposed to be a 100 max for each stat.

And my fav, signs are the atronach and ladys grace.

this is the best game i have ever played and i had a hard time putting back into block busters return box. every time i get payed and go to fred meyers they are always sold out.

If you ever get an xbox get this game if you can only afford one if two also get halo

The greatest game in the world and mabye the universe.20501

Rob from Canterbuty says (3/Apr/2003):
I only just got this game but am hooked, i have a level 9 fighter but am finding it hard to get up levels. I think this game is just the best out and it is hard to get off it to get to school, the graphics and textures are among the best i have ever seen, and i love water walking, its so detailed that it shows the wake you leave behind you. I think the fact that there is no set story line and that you can customise your characters is utterly original, its a laugh just walking into someones house and killing them for a meesly 400 gold and their clothes, i think being able to take things from people and animals you kill is fun, i mean what other game lets you do that! The only downside i can think of is the fact that you have to walk alot and i mean alot, although there are silt striders and mages guilds to transport you it can still get a bit boring.Over all i would highly recommend it to anyone who loves rpg's and has loads of pationce.

Awsome and Exilerating, it never ends!!25634

Jonathan from Alabama,USA says (18/Jun/2003):
Morrowind is one of the best games I have for my system. My collection was lame before I ventured off into the awsome world of morrowind. As soon as one of my close friends saw it he was hooked. You havent played a RPG untill youve played morrowind. I cant get over the coolness of the water textures in this virtural reality border liner. I wish real water looked this good. If you over look how increasingly difficult the game becomes due to the vastness of morrowind there is not a thing wrong with this game. It is truly original in every aspect. From battle mages to great dragon slayers you may pic one from thousands of combinations of character setups. But the main reason I personaly gave it a mere 8 was because of the poor sound quality. Theres not much in the means of music to listen to during game play. And the dribble drabble of water gets old after swimming a few minutes. If you got the mere twenty dollars to invest in this massive, addictive, and realistic work of gaming art, stop sitting there and go get a decent game to play.
That will be one gaming decision you wont be dissaponted in.

SOS: Glitch stopped my play -- help me29744

Erika from LA, CA USA says (11/Aug/2003):
I love the game. I'm new to the RPG world, so any review I give would be uninformed. BUT I need your help. My armor ratings (including unarmored) all fell to 0. I didn't realize it until I got the message that my heavy armor rating increased to 1. It looks like a curse, because the zeros are in red, but I got no curse message. I got all my armor repaired and it did nothing. Everything I buy is at 0.

Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!30700

Liondor from Penzance,U.K. says (21/Aug/2003):
I first heard of this game from my older brother asking me if I had heard of morrowind yet? which I hadn't so I asked him what about it he said it's the largest rpg ever made and you could spend ages in one room but I didn't have any money so I couldn't buy it. A few weeks later he told me that one of his friends had baught it so I got excited because his friends always always lend him thier rpg's when they're done whith them eventually 2 months later he said that his friend had agreed to it, finally I thought, Morrowind. I sat down to play it and as soon as the beggining fmv started I knew I wouldn't be dissapointed. When reached level 3 I thaught how could that gut get bored of this game - it's immense and it's water sigh.

The Greatest.32668

A gamer from jacksonville, florida, USA says (29/Sep/2003):
First and foremost, this game is very well put together. I absolutely love this Rpg. I am level 69 now and beat the game but there is still so much more to do. Sub- quests from travelers along the road. Different factions to join more quests, Caves to unravell underwater grotto's etc. People to see places to go. Rating is the best!!.. By the way by beating the Telvanni House quest's they give you a Stronghold of your own. It's really cool to.
