This game is a wicked game, but it could be better.16380

Brendan from Oromocto, New Brunswick, Canada says (26/Jan/2003):
Everyone gives this game overly good ratings,it definetly could have been way better, but I guess this is how it is when you relaease games into the mainstream... EXPENSIVE. I'm sure if money was to object the team would've given everyone their own opinions and so forth. That's on thing it should have inherited from standard platform RPGs--- NPC development, only using somewhat of their same system, making it a better hierarchy of thoughts for each NPC. Maybe I'm only dreaming, but someday this will happen... For now I make my own games for the trusty old comp... Also some people wander around aimlessly, and where the hell are a ll the kids? And (sorry for bringing this one up, but after playing some SNES game I couldn't help but ask) WHERE IN GOD'S NAME DO PEOPLE GO TO THE BATHROOM? Take no offense, this is my favorite game - EVER. But I think they can do better, I know I can pretty much figure out how this system works and dupe it. But I want to see some NPCS walk to the market and buy something, then go home, put their kids to bed and sit down and have a drink or something. And what's up with the loading on xbox? Anyways that's all I have to belittle now, have fun.

Best Game EVER44695

A gamer from Ridgeland, Mississippi says (15/May/2005):
Everyone keeps talking about glass and ebony armor as if it was the best...wrong. High Ordinator is better, but they tend to get pissed if you were to wear it. it. So.. that leaves the legendary $#< remove me > at ! that the creators just love to hide.

1. There's an old stronghold Southeast of the Ushinabai Camp...is that the name? Anyway you probably know what I mean. You have to go there to pass a Nerevarine test. Inside, in the the Dagoth crypt, there will be two troth looking things on either side of the walls. Goto the left one, and instead of looking in it, look behind and underneath it. There will be a set of gloves. Randgaulf's or something. Anyway, my heavy armor wasnt all that great, but they each provided 225 rating...nice. PLUS one had constant fortify agility 30 pts and the other had constant fortify strength 30. There you go.
2. In the tower of Dagon Fel, just south of the city, on the top floor is some wizard who just gets bitchy and doesnt like you from the get-go. Whatever, rip him up and then check his corpse. He'll have a helmet that does 225 armor...they sure like that number. And it fortifies your personality 30 pts...constantly.

beats all other games for thex box44695

Aaron the redgaurd from juneau, alaska, usa says (28/Sep/2002):
I thought about this game when i went to the block buster and read it and instantly knew it would be the best game i ever played.

i really like to make my own class and abilities. i always use the red gaurd. i mean int his game you really need and all around character. i mean if you make a character all out mage and nothing else he/she will be slow as could posibly be and cant carry anything. this game is about using your brain and alot of it. i mean the main quest is long and hard as it is the first time around like finding the camps and the burial grounds.

im at about level 28 and still going strong. she hass nothing but constamt effect items and 757str. , 1625 int., 747 willpower, agility 119, speed of 191, personality of 128 and luck of 1614 =->~.

And theres supposed to be a 100 max for each stat.

And my fav, signs are the atronach and ladys grace.

this is the best game i have ever played and i had a hard time putting back into block busters return box. every time i get payed and go to fred meyers they are always sold out.

If you ever get an xbox get this game if you can only afford one if two also get halo

Great game, unlimited possibilities.8302

Stephen from Birmingham, USA says (7/Jul/2002):
I had heard of Daggerfall, but never played it. But three days after I bought my Xbox, a friend of mine told me to get Morrowind. He said it was cool because you could kill people and take thier stuff and do magic and all that. He gave this game absolutely no credit. I've always wanted to see a game where you don't have to stick to a preset storyline, where you can venture to the side of evil, become leader of a guild, and still have lots left over to do. I'm not even very far into the game and I love it. I've never seen a game that you can interact with so much. The only downside I've seen is how difficult it is to level up and the lack of easy to beat yet worthwhile enemies. But in reality, you don't need them! This game lets you take your character wherever you want and do whatever you want with them. A villager makes you mad? Kill them! and sell off thier stuff. Pay your meager fine and be free. This game has limitless possibilities for gameplay. If you're sceptical, rent it! But be sure you have a lot of time on hand to play. I would suggest this game to people with a dgree of patience and persistance.

Awsome and Exilerating, it never ends!!25634

Jonathan from Alabama,USA says (18/Jun/2003):
Morrowind is one of the best games I have for my system. My collection was lame before I ventured off into the awsome world of morrowind. As soon as one of my close friends saw it he was hooked. You havent played a RPG untill youve played morrowind. I cant get over the coolness of the water textures in this virtural reality border liner. I wish real water looked this good. If you over look how increasingly difficult the game becomes due to the vastness of morrowind there is not a thing wrong with this game. It is truly original in every aspect. From battle mages to great dragon slayers you may pic one from thousands of combinations of character setups. But the main reason I personaly gave it a mere 8 was because of the poor sound quality. Theres not much in the means of music to listen to during game play. And the dribble drabble of water gets old after swimming a few minutes. If you got the mere twenty dollars to invest in this massive, addictive, and realistic work of gaming art, stop sitting there and go get a decent game to play.
That will be one gaming decision you wont be dissaponted in.

The one game that makes you go insane19299

SJ from Mustang, Oklahoma says (15/Mar/2003):
Now don't get me wrong, this game is a great game. You can tell, just from the start that Bethesda(if that's how you spell it)worked extremely hard on it. The Game Is Enormous! You can do everything that your little heart desires in this game. There are some thing's that make this game slightly less than perfect though. If you're not patient enough to sit through about 300 hours of game play than this one isn't for you. It has a fairly good story line, but, like many RPGs, it goes so slow that you may not care about it ten hours into the game. Then there's the music(about one song)that makes many people ask, "Did Bethedsa get this game from a japanese torture chamber?" If you have a lot of patients, then this game is easily worth the fifty greenbacks you give to Wal-Mart. It truly is a revalation in role play gaming history. Ask yourself two questions:
1. Am I patient enough for a 300 hour game? Yes No
2. Do I like RPG games? Yes No

If you picked yes on both questions, then you should get this game. If not, then get some skateboarding or shooter game.

This game r0x0rz teh b0x0rZ!39476

Chris the Great from Milwaukee,WI says (3/Mar/2004):
wow. When I first got a copy of morrowind, I wasnt even really a true RPG fan at all, and never really was any good at in depth games due to a short attention span. When I first popped it in It looked crappy. Coming strait from games such as halo and other great graphic box games I was almost sure I waisted my money. But I learned how massive it was, and how interactive it was. (3x more interactive then inivisible war) And the non-linear storyline is amazing addition to such a in depht game. Ive seriously stayed up for 36++ hours just to get my time in, and came to school late alot (im 13). I cant find a bad thing in the game really. Except the box users seemed to have missed out on more accesability in the pc ver.(like hotkeyed weps and stuff). I personally like the fact that you can make cool arrangements with dropped stuff, I made a huge bank account of nice items in the gharok manor (by my main man creeper).only thing id ask to add after playing the goty ver is custom soundtrks, that would really r0x0r teh 130x0rz!!!!!

A few problems, but still incredible9312

Brandon from Mineapolis, MN says (29/Aug/2002):
This game is great. I just recently beat it after two months of play, going through every single storyline quest (which, you find out later, isn't at all necessary). It gets a little boring and tedious for a while, then exciting again. Definately worth it if you've got the time. Some things are a pain, though: most of all, the limited merchant inventories (you have to wait 24 hours before they restock), and a few points at which you can get stuck in the landscape with no way of getting out (mostly in mountainous regions, such as the ashlands). Also, concerning shops and merchants, they have a limited amount of gold on them; I don't think you'll find a trader with more than 2000 gold available, yet you come across items worth 15,000+ in your travels. These just get thrown away if you can't use them. The game isn't the best, but it's absolutely awesome anyway. Do something fun the second time through, like join the assassins' guild, or become a vampire (my personal goal).

The greatest game in the world and mabye the universe.20501

Rob from Canterbuty says (3/Apr/2003):
I only just got this game but am hooked, i have a level 9 fighter but am finding it hard to get up levels. I think this game is just the best out and it is hard to get off it to get to school, the graphics and textures are among the best i have ever seen, and i love water walking, its so detailed that it shows the wake you leave behind you. I think the fact that there is no set story line and that you can customise your characters is utterly original, its a laugh just walking into someones house and killing them for a meesly 400 gold and their clothes, i think being able to take things from people and animals you kill is fun, i mean what other game lets you do that! The only downside i can think of is the fact that you have to walk alot and i mean alot, although there are silt striders and mages guilds to transport you it can still get a bit boring.Over all i would highly recommend it to anyone who loves rpg's and has loads of pationce.

A Very Difficult But A Very Fun Game!!!45574

Gage the Guide from Butte, Montana, U.S.A. says (26/Nov/2005):
The first thing I did in the game was to the wilderness. There I died but also found how if I shot an arrow it would stick out of a tree. The grapics are amazing, the creatures are amazing, and the wide selection of items is amazing. It is the second funnest game I ever played. One hint: Don't rush into the wild wilhout being properly equiped.Overall, if you are bored with the games you have, get this one.I can't wait until the next one comes out. The game lasts for a year or later. I wouldn't recommend this game to young kids for two reasons: one it is confusing sometimes, the other, it is sometimes scary. Morrowind brings crime, hunting, mysteries, and traveling all together.Only put in cheats if you really need them. If you do put in cheats it does get a little boring. Use a bow to draw in your enemy then use your sword to kill it off.If you have any questions please email me.I like to find new things on the game also.

Ok, ok, is good but still they must put a lot of work to fix somethings in the game31826

Praetor: Ceagle Beowulf from BEAVER PA USA says (11/Sep/2003):
Ok, LET ME START, THIS game is cool its true, but It COULD BE MORE COOL Than THAT!!! lets start whit the graphics, I prefer slow graphic quality whit more varietys, in the game, You must see, graphic took a lot of work in the game, that work can be put it into more AI and monsters and a lot of weapons and accesories, and if you could marry in the game will be nice too, added whit abilitys to by Houses, or make big castles hire mercenarys to protect the castle but i mean more mercenarys!!!
More Quests more lands and if they could put a horse will be nice to because you may tire of being walking and running whitout knowing where you are!!! THE SOUND OH MY THEY MUST WORK HARD ON THAT jUST 1 soundtrack spining around it makes me dizzy!
Put some celtic, mediavel, and drums they will took more adrenaline!!!

Awesome Game8041

Andrew from Tyler, Texas, USA says (24/Jun/2002):
I bought this game on a whim. I had never played any of the others, nor had I even heard of them. All I did was read reviews and hope this would be a fun game, luckily it was. Every bit of the 50 bucks I paid was worth it. The game is very emersive, you can do pretty much whatever you'd like, and if you become strong enough, you can rule the entire kingdom, i guess, haven't actually gotten that far. In fact, I haven't got to far at all, the only problem with the game is that it takes a while to get from place to place, but along the way a lot of things happen, so all in all, this is a great game and worth the money. I'm happy with it.

Also, please e-mail me at football5654704< remove me > at hotmail.com if you have ANY tips at all for this game. I'd love it, especially tips on how to start out.

Freakin awsome45005

A gamer from USA says (8/Jul/2005):
This game has been out for over four years i think, it is still one of the biggest and most interactive games out there. i was hooked on this game comepletly, played for 500+ hours. This game rocks, the only complaints i have are the low graphics. other than that it completly wins every other game, even though its considered an old game it still magnificent, you can do anything you want, sleep all day and night, kill monsters, go exploring in caves and ruins, steal everything, get into fights with town villagers, get thrown in jail, get turned into a vampire, everyhing has basically been thought up for this game. I congradulate Bethesda for making an epic game, i hope Morrowind four: oblivion will be just as great, so until i will anxiously wait for the release of the game

MORROWIND Rocks it is the best game ever!!!!!!!!44144

A gamer from Kansas,USA says (15/Feb/2005):
Morrowind rocks. You can do anything, anywhere, anytime! This game is the greatest you can never beat the whole game. There are millions of things to do like which house to join and legendary weapons. If you have every single legendary weapon email me and tell me where you found them. All I have is Umbra. There are millions of types of weapon and armor combinations which you can never always have. There are hundreds and hundreds of missions so you never get bored with Morrowind! It is almost better than the Halo series but just a little under. If your parents don't like you to have fighting games then just tell them that it is an adventure game. Then you can still gut everyone in the game without them knowing. You have this game then you rock!!!!

Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!30700

Liondor from Penzance,U.K. says (21/Aug/2003):
I first heard of this game from my older brother asking me if I had heard of morrowind yet? which I hadn't so I asked him what about it he said it's the largest rpg ever made and you could spend ages in one room but I didn't have any money so I couldn't buy it. A few weeks later he told me that one of his friends had baught it so I got excited because his friends always always lend him thier rpg's when they're done whith them eventually 2 months later he said that his friend had agreed to it, finally I thought, Morrowind. I sat down to play it and as soon as the beggining fmv started I knew I wouldn't be dissapointed. When reached level 3 I thaught how could that gut get bored of this game - it's immense and it's water sigh.

A gamer from burlington massachusetts usa says (16/Jan/2004):

Big, Huge, yet wish it was bigger45658

luke from brisbane, Australia says (15/Dec/2005):
this is a great game, it is my most favourite in my collection. I play it heaps n ive noticed that before your character can run faster and jump higher it is sometimes annoying having to hafto wait ages to travel between cities, if there isnt a boat or a silt strider or if your not carrying any intervention spells, i think ya should be able to farm plants, animals, catch animals, break them, get saddles and ride them around. also buying and sellin property would make it more fun.
This might help to get around more easily, even though it may distract you away from the main story it would be good to do once the game is complete or to get de-stessed when ya cant do a mission or solve a puzzle.
