If you just got an Xbox and just want any ol game then this is the game for you. This game lacks what a gamer would call "excitement". The story line is typical and the graphics were rushed and retarded. Look closely at the rocks and grass and they look like drawn pictures laid on a surface. The vines needed to climb a wall look like they are apart of the wall. The gameplay is good but not good enough. it gets boring after awhile listening to the same "Hiya" sounds from azurik (the big smurf) and watching the same combo. The story pretty much sucks to high heaven. it feels lonely knowing that yur the only person in the game other than a dead wise man and a possed person. Basically they should have added more characters and made the perethians say more than just "youre our only hope azurik!" and just stand there. The monsters in the game are pretty cool. The only thing stupid about them is that they are invincible when on the ground stunned. swimming in this game is pretty complicated at first but then u get used to it. You can breathe under water so you wont die trying to learn how to navigate the ocean. The levels are challenging and so are the task but the game is just so boring you dont wanna go any further. Overall this game is OK but its not worth buying or renting. the only reason you probley should buy this game is so u can tell your friends youve got more games than he does. The makers could have put more time in this game but i think they rushed because they knew people would buy it since it was XBOX and it was new. Adrenim... if you make a part 2 learn from the mistakes of this one please.

i must admit azurik rise of perathia is a fun and addictivly well thought out.the game play graphics are ok but the back rounds look like cardboard with pictures painted on them.it has a very far fetched but good story line to it and the characters are alright also.the only part that tick me off is how long and complicated the game actually is.you have to go over the same paths over and over again and the puzzels seem almost impossible they went a little to far when they made the way things are set up and how to unset them and you want to finish it so badly that you cant stop playing it but you play it so long you get very very frustrated when you mess up and have to do the same thing over again and some of the board enemys seem almost impossible to beat.all & all its a fairly decent game but the reason i gave it a six is because it just pisses me off

I thought that Azurik was a well thought out game. The designers obviously had more talent that James, otherwise he would be a graphic artist rather than a whingeing little bitch. The levels become exceedingly harder the further you progress, and anyone with an ounce of patience and determination will find it inspiring to continue through the tough spots. The story is simple, though the game play is far from it, with challenges that will keep you guessing. The enemies in each realm are interesting, and the elemental powers are so varied that fighting them is always interesting and not often easy. The realms themselves are masterpieces, and the scenery awesome. Azurick is a unit himself, and he can run, climb, swim and fight without a break or sleep. Definately an inspired game and in the same league as Zelda on the Nintendo 64. Play on..............

I like this game because it goes on for A long time, where as other gamed you play for an hour and then you're done! It does get complicated as you go through. I think there should be A few more "save" places so that after you die you don't have to keep repeating the same thing for over A week.
