Very addictive...but limited. |

This is the first Snowboarding/skateboarding/rollerblading (get the jist) game that I have played. To be honest they never appealed to me before. But having played this game I must say they are damn addictive. I can't really compare this game to other snowboarding ones out there, but I must say of the 4 - 5 hours of playtime I have had on this it is a very satisfying, addictive, playable game. The showoff mode allows you to pull fantastic tricks and I think is the the real beaut part of the game. Instead of just racing down the hill ramps, rails, cliffs and more are slapped on the side of the hill to get you to perform outragous flips twists and turns. Get two player mode going and the fun is doubled. Graphics aren't fantastically mind blowing but you don't really need them to be. Sound is good, your character talks to themselves which can be amusing. Music is good, although a little repetative. Controls are fairly easy, once you get to grips with them. I did find that some of the courses were poorly designed making it impossible to control what your character does. It can get frustrating and I found myself playing the one course most of the time. The replay option was poorly designed as well, rather than giving you the best possible view of the player in action, at times it buggers up and you lose him behine a cliff, or its view is right in and you can't see properly what is going on. Overall a very pleasing, fun game to play, and if you want a simple plug in and play game I think this is the one! Some improvements could be made, but the outrageous stunts keep it amusing. Top notch fun, but not worth much more than a 7. I would say rent it, play it, see if you like it...if so buy it.

this game gets old real fast with out codes then after a while it still gets very old so dont buy the game if you do i wont fell sorry for you because should of taken my advice so if you read this and still buy it then #!*& you so if you buy the game and get disipointed it dosent sell back for much when you could of goten a better game like tony hawk undergroundwell thats it bye bye.

I love it, it makes me want to do the worm on a snowboard! I must admit though it is kind of short so the DVD extras makes it up. I haven't tried alpine racer yet but I don't think it is going to be too simuler or the Dark Summit, no other games can make characters fly up in mid-air, do 5 backflips and land on a snowboard! So I rate this game 8. Try it out!

I bought amped first and it was cool, but my friend told me to take it back for SSX. Man, am I glad I did. Amped was fun and I like the sound track option and all, but SSX will blow it away. Way more intense with longer slopes. I just can't get enough of it. I just can't think of any reason why anyone wouldn't like this game.

At first when i got ssx tricky i thought it was just going to be a snowboarding game like the all the others,but it is definetly not! With over 7 HUGE levels there is much to explore. This game is filled with great racing and insane tricks! If you have not bought this game yet you have a lot to learn.

This game is amazing! Its so much fun and u can't get bored of it...definitly worth buying it! it rox!!!! There are a whole bunch of amazing tricks that you can do, the courses are realy different and amazing, especially the one in tokyo! everyone should own a copy of this game!!

This is definetly worth the 50 bucks! At first its tough, then ou get used to it, and it rocks! tip: during jumps, hold down A before the jump, then right as you go into the air let the button go. Yu'll go twice, or three times as hg!. BUY IT NOW!!!
