I thought the first one scared the hell out of me, but this game has it all! The graphics are outstanding,and the foggy atmosphere is really creepy. The story line is confusing at first, but once you have played it a few times you gain more clues about the characters you meet. I highly recomend this masterpiece!

I don't buy games until I know that it's gonna be worth it. When I rented Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams for my X-BOX I was blown away. I passed all the endings in one week, and I rented it another three times before deciding on buying it. I am still puzzled by the history of Silent Hill, but that just adds to the suspense and it intrigues me further. This game ranks up there with the classics such as the Resident Evil series, the Final Fantasy searies,Mario, Tetris, Pac-Man, Galaga, Contra, and Pong. This is one game that has a storyline worth making into a movie.

I bought this game NEW 2 weeks a go for $20 at first is was about to beat my self up for buying this game but then when I went in the buildings it got better I was very scared because your always alone and the music make me want to got and pie but further Sometimes I let my 6 years old brother to got in a room for me because the walls covered with blood and all that made me too scared( you know the part where you have to kill EDDY) I like solving puzzels and I like the way the map looks but the MONSTERS they look pathatic those who spry gas on u but then i started getting super scared when i met those pyrmid heads some scared the hell out of me some times i jumbed out of the seat because i did not pay attention and the monster just hits me on my head that was scary but there is one thing that looks weared i did not DIE in the hole freaking game I feel sorry for maraia that cute chick to DIE 3 times im going to buy 3 soon i hope its worth $50 any way silenthill2 is good for $20!!!

I loved the First Silent Hill so I traded Crimson Sea which is also a good game(kinda easy though) I began Playing < remove me > at 1:00 Alone with no lights just like I did with the other silent hill. Anyway you play like this it's more scary than it is with lights on. I love this game I'm stuck as hell though but I catch on quick. THis game is worth the money

Hey all. in australia silent hill is called SILENT HILL 2 INNER FEARS not SILENT HILL 2 RESTLESS DREAMS. But it is the same game. my mum bought this for xmas and when i saw it i though what was this? When i played it the graphics looked good and i looked scary but as u get into the game it all slows down. u have an endless search for coins,people and zombies.the controls are strange but u will get them. if u like horror and if your patcient u will love this game.if u love games that take forever to look for things and solving puzzles u will luve this game.all other people leave this game alone.

The graphics of this game are super as detail in characters, monsters and backgrounds are pushed onto screen from a dingy and cold world of insanity. Even the optional distorted effect fits the games mood. Like its predecessor, this game suffers from restrained controls as running and aiming are not efficient enough to deliver correct moves. The basic configuration as well as finding destonations takes some getting used to. The sound and music of the game were very well done, as the original composer creates another wonderfully dark ambient tale. I found the story and development of the game its best quality. The game breaks some new grounds in the game, expressing vulgar profanity in one character, lost suicidal despair in another and a fixed sense of justice and morality being the downfall of our hero, being faced with the violent unknown. I appreciated the replay this game offered, configuring Maria's purpose and laughing away at secret endings. I recommend this game for the experienced, open minded and pateint players who are looking for deep and tought provoking game, where action is only a second step.

This is one of the best survival horror games ever! The story sucks you in and you don't want to stop playing it untill you find out what is going on in this town. It is also very mature and has many plot twist. The graphics are also great. The detail in the peoples faces and how the buildings look is great. Some times you even forget that the people arn't real. Sound in the game is also an excellent factor. The creepy music really adds a scary punch to the game. The atmosphere is also extremly scary. For most of the game it is really foggy and you can't see that far ahead of you. Then it gets dark and the game gets really scary. Inside buildings it is really creepy because most of them are run down and abandon except for the monsters. The monsters are really creepy. Weather it was a living mannequin or an evil and messed up nurse I jumped 2 feet out of my chair. The game is also pretty long so you will be playing it for a while. But I didn't like how a lot of the time you had to back track in and out of rooms to solve a puzzel or had to search for a while to find a key. But besides those minor drawbacks the game is great. I would recomend anyone that has an xbox or PS2 to buy it. You wont be disappointed.

When I first rented this game I thought cool! This game will scare the crap out of me! Then I actually started playing and got the biggest dissapointment since I played Wreckless! The whole game is like playing a really boring movie that has endless streets full of little pushover things that aren't even scary. And what the hell is that sound that those no armed creatures make when they're crawling around on the ground?! The rest of the sounds in game are pretty good and they do add to the scariness which needs all the help it can get. The graphics aren't bad but not great, the game could of used a little more of the Xbox's power than it did. The controls are horrible, Half the time I'm looking sideways, struggling to look forward, meanwhile those stupid zombie things are breathing their bad breath on me slooooowly killing me. I guess this game wouldn't be bad for hardcore adventure players who like endless searching in buildings and streets to find a key, only to walk all the way back where you came from and then some. So if you want to waste time and money on this boringly, unscary, andventuristicly craptacular game, then by all means buy or rent it, but for the rest of us lets all have a game of Halo!

Ok, listen up. You know how sometimes games for xbox go into gothic stages(ex-the nightmare levels in max payne, and some other stage in New Legends)? Well all I can say about this game is that it makes scary games look like a friggen walk in the park.This game is completely gothic.. I wouldn't want to demote sales from the company of this game, but please... do yourself a favor and NEVER play this game.
