I think it was an awsome game.

jason from New York, New York says (22/Mar/2004):
Azurik was probably one of the best adventure games i've ever played. Its just gets a little annoying when you fall off a cliff every 5 seconds. favorite part was life realm. not bad, wasnt that hard. If you dont have Azurik rise or perethia its at least renting. You'll see for yourself.

He's Blue. 'Nuff Said.37493

Lauren from Georgia, USA says (28/Dec/2003):
Okay, so I'm a pretty tough person to please when it comes to gaming, but I had to give this a review here. The movie events are a problem in this game, choppy and poorly executed, but the gameplay itself is fairly smooth. There are some transitions that should be worked on, however. I love the fact that Azurik is blue. It's just an obsession of mine. Also, the plot simply isn't interesting. It's a loose-base RPG-action game; the plot is just too "The Thingies get spread to the far reaches of blah-bidy-blah and you have to go get them and restore balance to the universe". It needs something else. But of course, this is just my preference. Levelwise, I'd say it can become very daunting. I tried giving up a number of times in certain realms, but it's such a mindlessly addictive game I managed to get through. It would be nice if Azurik had more combination moves and a little more depth. The creatures he encounters are the dumb zombie type, but take a while to kill and you really need to know how to harness the elemental powers (a good RPG idea, no?) to beat them. At any rate, this is a reasonable game (and, yes, very fun. Though a little repetitive) that could use expanding and more things to collect, etc. If you enjoy fantasy fight style sort of games you may want to check this out, if not, save your money for something like Ninja Gaiden or Half Life. Have a jolly good time!

A perfect game to play - endure Azurik falling to his doom35606

A gamer from Washington,USA says (18/Nov/2003):
I couldn't get enough of this game, but once I played it through I couldn't stand the idea of playing it all over again. I used cheats the second time around. My sister liked to watch me play all the time, but I couldn't stand getting burned up or chewed up or the part about falling to my doom. I liked the idea of a swordplay type game, but wish there was some long range attack ability. One interesting part of the graphics that some other games don't have is that you always have your eyes on Azurik so no trees and stuff get in the way. It would be neat to see a multiplayer version of this game. One thing I have beeen getting board of is the movie-like events that happen every-so-often in these kinds of games.

At the beginning you start out on the beach. If you go up the hill, you will run into a firewall and slowly be burned to death. When you can get into town, if you are excited to attack those bad guys and jump into them, you could end up falling to your doom. Azurik waits awhile while falling before he lets out his scream of terror. I would like to play other games where the character and land is generally the same

Azurik is by far the best xbox game i have played yet28204

mike from jewett,USA says (20/Jul/2003):
i have not beat the game yet but i'm working on it. the graphics, and sound are off the hook. and i love the fact that it is so long. it would be nice if there was so more moves but, the gameplay more then makes for it. i can only hope that there will be an Azurik 2. one more thing, whatever you do, try to beat the game without cheats are codes, they take so much away form the game. all and all its a great game for all ages young and old, fun to watch and better to play.

A very well thought up game27926

cm from tahoe says (16/Jul/2003):
I think this game was very well made. There is obviously alot of effort put into this game. You can tell just by the opening movie. Of course, there are better games, but this one is very unique, you will very rarly find a game on which you can defy the rules of their world. For example, you could get the third fire power without having 3 fire disks. It would be called a glitch but there are many ways you can attack a problem with this game. If you use the freezing power, you can stand on top of the frozen creature and get to places you can't reach. i.e. the earth power (2nd[by the bridge before the lightning shield]), fire power (3rd). Overall, it is quite a unique game, there are not many out there like this.
8- stars

Impressive22048

john from Melton says (23/Apr/2003):
I think this a damn fine game all round, big environments, fighting systems a little lame but all round a good decent game.
I think the graphics are pretty good, but some areas are far to dark you end up having to find a cjheat to lighten it all up

Fun, exciting, and all out challenging19083

Joshua Uczekaj from Bellevue, Washington USA says (11/Mar/2003):
Azurik is a fun game that I am completely obsessed with. I can't stop playing and trying to find the power ups in order to do the best element combo is hard. I took me about a month to find earth but it was worth it. The smash shield around Azurik along with the Lava power for the Axion is I think the best combo out there. Also finding all 100 Obsidions is almost 4 times harder than finding the earth power, but in the end they will help a lot. All the power ups recieved from the obsidions raised my health as high as my smash shield at max lvl, my Axion is powered up with do sets of extra spikes, I use half as much element energy when I activate my elements, and I've unlocked an area where I can replenish my health an unlimited amount of times as well as my element powers. The longest lvl in the game is the second level of the death realm and it gets might confusing at times, but with a little patience I got through. This game had me wanting to play more till I beat Balthazar and let me tell you he's no easy walk on the road. I beat the game 4 times and I'm still not tired of it. The makers did a great job making it, all the graphics, the story line, even the music keeps me interested. overall it took me 4 months to beat the game the first time, and now that I know what to do I can beat it in under 2 weeks. If you all want to know the element cmbo I used to beat Balthazar just combine water, earth, and fire for the smash shield, and combine fire and earth for the lava power. Also an easy way to get past the air realm is to use ice to freeze the monster, then knock him off the side so tha he falls to his doom. This strategy greatly reduced the play time that I had to endure when playing the first time, trust me it's the best strategy. I also know some codes so you can help yourself get through, if you want to find out just email me. i will post it with this review.

Something For The Mind's Endurance18387

Jamesoe 1 from Kingston, Jamaica says (27/Feb/2003):
I feel as if Azurik opened doors within my ability to be patient and think rather than move. As in Chess, Azurik makes precise moves, unlocks powers, and in someway saves the his people. The Game is pure poetry, it's storyline is awesome and quite inspiring. I can truly relate with the whole element thing being divided, for we live in those times now. Azurik needs a sequel.

I love it, it rocks Azurik. it seems like such a long game but it is. 12 pages of walkthrough thats how long it is 12 long pages of it. even though this aint two hundred words. the people that own the site might put me on because they are great and tell your friends to visit and support the site.

Azurik Rules!!8835

XBOX Rules from Blenheim, ONT, Canada says (3/Aug/2002):
Azurik's the best 3rd person game I've ever played. The enviroments are huge, and there's virtually no load time, letting you get the most play out of your time. The combo powers are pretty cool, and there is so many hidden locations in each realm that its quite a challenge finding all of them.

azurik nice graphics, slow & repetitive, but interesting5856

tom from santa barbara, ca says (18/Feb/2002):
find the cheat for god mode to go faster and the cheat for saving anywhere to not lose as much ground. it would be nice to be able to have multiple saves to be able to take some rides between areas over & over. great scenery, good adventure, just a bit slow for my slow brain.
