Graffiti On The Wall18495

Fabianne Rico from La Puente,CA,USA says (1/Mar/2003):
Jet Set Radio Future one of the best games on the Xbox. The Problem with skating games today are time limits and frustrating controls. In JSRF(Jet Set Radio Future)you just land on the rail then BOOM! you got a grind but occasionally that might be frustrating a bit. The camera is great but if it gets in the way just use the left trigger. The lock on for fighting bad guys(Rokkaku Police)you never lose sight of the target. You can't just attack with just spraying the cops you can also use the special boost feature (quite common with games that involve wheels). You can get with your creative self and make your own graffiti. Different shapes, sizes, and colors. The various types of characters with their own personality and ways to get those new characters. The music for Jet Set Radio Future has different remixes for each city. Bands like Scape Goat Wax or The Latchkey Brothers. It is not called Jet Set Radio Future for nothing. And the game is not repetitive because that is the problem with games today too repetitive. The cell shading in the animation is like you are on your own little world free from reality. But the multiplayer only has races and graffiti contests but no trick contest that makes the tricks a bit useless. But the cut scenes so little cut scenes at least let us see those cut scenes again. And maybe the GG's should work togehther when out numbered.

Jet Set...Coolest X-Box game yet.....6191

DudeFromBula from Ashtabula Oh.......U.S.A. says (6/Mar/2002):
At first play I thought I knew it couldn't be much better than my DC version.....I was wrong.....way....wrong.... My Halo is gettin dusty and thats OK by me.....It's everything a game should be with graphics that are a step above anything I could have counted on.....The techno music is cool, (even for an old school metal head like myself).....This game single handedly puts all snowboarding, skating, and extreme sports games to shame....I don't think Tony Hawk 3 will even be slightly amusing or fun compared to JSRF.....Once again SEGA has raised the level of gaming to the next level.....Welome to next level.....I'm there, it's here and I am lovin it.....I'm 32 my kids are 10 and 8 and we all agree....."It's the bomb!".....Now I know for sure that Crazy Taxi X-Box style and House of the Dead 3 will be added to my collection of XDVDs without any investigation or previews or reviews.....The graphics are 'neato'.....The sound matches perfectly to the feeling of the game.....The gameplay is second to none.....Can't wait to finish it so I can start again.....JSRF puts the U in FUN.....It's the most original game thinkin thought do hickey thingy out there.....Watch out EA.....SEGA already makes better sports games than you could ever dream of and thier original games will surely blow you away.....

THE SOUNDTRACK WILL DRIVE YOU INSANE!!!!25175

gimpy from Oconto Wi says (11/Jun/2003):
JSRF is a great game, but japaneese soundtracks and culture are really odd. When I first played the game I expected some weird
songs but they just drove me insane. every time I played the game I had to mute it out and play some Metalica and Disturbed to drown out the stupid retarded tunes that just wouldnt get out of my head. I love how many places you can go in this game and the awsome create grafiti mode that you can use in the game. Lets face it, you really have to be a person who loves odd things
to get the most mileage off this game. The 'Bands' or whatever you call them that are avalible to pick for music is way to small and repetitive plus who the heck are these people? "Hidieki" whoever remixed all the tracks and they all suck ,so that guy should get fired from his job! And who are these bands? The bands consist mostly of crappy japaneese no talent music artists or american bands that suck so bad that they signed a cheap record contract in japan, please!
Anyway jet set radio fututre is good but it could have been tons better in every way. I just wish the game had a custom soundtrack selection (which really doesnt make any sense since this game is mostly about a radio station!!)

This game is just plain awsome.6848

Phil from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA says (8/Apr/2002):
Jet Set Radio Future just the title makes you want to buy it. It's an awesome game with awesome graphics and awesome music. My favorite part is listening to your favorite tune in the garage (which you can customize). The only thing wrong with it is you guessed it, repetition. I mean, it's cool grinding on everything and all, but the goal is always the same. Spray. BUT! (Yes, I know you will try to say something smart like, "Yea, I have one" but no! theres still a but) There are some times when you have to play a certain game to win, such as race, "copy the trick/grind" or tag or such. The game's graphics are cool, and the fact that if you get stuck, you can just go to another unbeaten level. So you're almost never stuck (unless a glitch makes you stuck literally). Although my favorite still is Halo. Get Jet Set Radio Future (unless you don't have Halo, in that case, stop reading this and get Halo!). Ok now. Final words, JSRF is a great game, so I would get it RIGHT after Halo. Then you can get Nightcaster (sorry, I'm just an RPG fan) or Jedi Starfighter (which isn't out yet on XBox, but it's coming it says on the commercial bottom

Overrated game.15878

Mark Reichard from Jefferson City, Missouri, United States of America says (20/Jan/2003):
Jet Set Radio is the worst game I own. It's fun for a while just messing around downtown Tokyo, but once you get past that, the game is retarded. The graphics are cool, but the soundtrack is stupid. Imagine this woman who you can't understand any words except for about five words. She screams the entire time, then you go to another song that is ok. This game is best for multi player battle or racing. I would pay about five dollars for this game at most. I don't get the dancing part at all either. I know it's supposed to be a futuristic game, but come on! Plus, in most games, whenever you kill someone they don't come back, but this captain of the police keeps coming back. He has a hatred for kids that are having a good time on roller blades I guess...
And what's with the dj that looks like one of those chinese dragons? I don't understand. This is a complete disapointment of a game. Go get Tony Hawk or something if you want a grinding and air trick game.

Game saved by it's graphics.6521

Ian from Amana, USA says (22/Mar/2002):
I rented this game, and I'm very glad I didn't jump out to buy it. The gameplay is horribly repetative; the entire goal is to find all the spots you're supposed to spray paint in a level. Usually, there's a semi-hidden door somewhere that you have to overcome to paint the other half of the level. After you're done painting, a bad guy will show up, and you have to follow him. If you follow him, you win. Occasionally, a curveball will get thrown at you when the police come. You better watch out, because guess what you do to them: Knock them over, and spray paint them. Wow. The gameplay seemed boring, redundant, and generally childish. The only thing that made me want to keep playing it until i had to return it was the graphics... They are absolutely stunning. Though the lack of tricks to do on the skates makes things get boring (You tap one of two buttons in a steady rythm to make your character do tricks while grinding.) it sure is nice to look at.

Man this game rocks6222

A gamer from Toronto says (8/Mar/2002):
I recently found out they made a sequel to the greatly overlooked dreamcast game. Of course i assumed it was gonna be the same. Huge Mistake it turns out this game is completely different all the things that sucked in the first one are made almost revolutionary. this game has good music, amazing graphics, great control, good plot, the replay kicks ass. I bought this game the second i played it. Unlike the dreamcast the enviroments and levels are lush with graphics and the stages are huge seriously. there are upto 20 that's right 20 characters u can get. there is a tiny bit a slow down but it's not much and barely noticible. This has turned haters into believers my friend Mario Murray Said don't buy it sucks. Then after i bought he came to my house and play it for an hour or 2. Now he intends to buy an Xbox because of this game. Sega really out did them selves.

An Almost Perfect Idea12236

A gamer says (2/Dec/2002):
Jet Set Radio is a very unique game in both gameplay and graphics. The graphics utalize the new cel shading system and give it an awesome look. The gameplay is unlike anything I've ever played. Not even the original played this well. The music is still stuck in my head though I haven't been able to play this game for weeks, but in a good way. As for the one point off the length of chapters 1-8 is much too short I bat it in a few days. Playing the game over would be okay since regraffitting and collecting all the graffitti souls can be a little boring. Also there are too few of the "secret" characters opened up during the game and that a few things in the game do absolutly nothing(The statue that says if you knock over this statue heads are gonna roll). Overall a great game, but needs more secrets and more missions.

jet set kicks butt15414

corn from nyack, new york says (13/Jan/2003):
when i got my xbox i hardly glanced at jet set radio future, but i got bord with my other games so i gave it a shot. now i'm surtfing the net all day to find out everything about it. this game has a style of graphics that i've never seen before, but i've just entered the gamers world. the soundtrack is also great. in school i got in trouble for humming a song from jet set.the gameplay is great. i love killing hyashi, the demented police captain. but its weird how you can jump nearly 300 feet without dieing.i've spent all day playing this game, i even skipped dinner! the idea of b eing in a street skating gang in tokyo is an unusual but original idea. i would'nt pay the usual 20 bucks for this but it's worth at least 10.

This is one title Xbox owners must own7852

Nick A from Wisconsin, USA says (14/Jun/2002):
This is the sequel to the hit (but sleeper) game Jet Grind Radio. The basic story to the game is, well, tag over (with graffiti) areas that your opponents have already laid their stuff. Sure it sounds weird, and I'll admit, at first the game is a little dumb. But then you get deeper into it and you realize that it is extremely fun and can be very challenging at times. The multiplayer mode is also loads of fun. Sadly it isn't compatible with link play but that's alright. My friends and I find the best multi-player modes to be Race and Ball Hog (in which you must do one lap around a level with out losing the ball). If you are looking for another Xbox game to add to your list, this is one you should look in to.

Kicks digital @$$ !12099

Rocket X from Forest, MS, USA says (30/Nov/2002):
This game is sweet. Some dilweeds may say the gameplay is bad, but, go dig out your DC and pop in your old copy of Jet Grind Radio and witness how so much better JSRF is. I'm just glad it came free with my Xbox, I wouldn't have thought to buy this game. If you're too lazy to rent this game, let me tell you how much has changed for the better. First off, you get to beat up the cops. Secondly, there's no time limit. Thrice-wise, there's a mix of characters, ranging from both new and old. Hell, I was sitting in class daydreaming up my own JSRF characters when, while doodling, I created my gaming alias Rocket X! Plus I made up Shooter, but I decided to adopt Rocket X instead. The new graffiti is awesome.

Waayyy Better than you think!!!!!!!17165

Lindsey from Orlando, Fl, U.S.A. says (8/Feb/2003):
JSRF is awsome!!!heck,im only 10 and im crazy about it.I only saw a glance of my brothers friend play it and i begged my brother to stop playing this stupid racing game and let me try it out.i bugged him sooo much he finly let me play. From the minute i loaded it i loved it!the graphics are awsome.but i have to admit, the dancing was stupid, but i got over it fast.the grinding is one of my favorit things about JSRF,next to the jumps and racing.oh,and i forgot about the music. Its pretty awsome too.its beat is stuck in my head, and proboly forever.i would of never rented it because Beat, one of the charictars looks pretty stupid on the cover, but is so far 2nd best, next to Halo.

Nifty Game!!27341

Helen from Detroit, MI USA says (7/Jul/2003):
Wow. What can I say. The graphics are KICKIN and the tricks and grinds in this are almost replicas of the movements that real inline skaters make. The first time I played it, I only thought that you were supposed to skate around. So I turned it off. But the next day, I was thinking about it and turned it back on and started a real game, and now I'm hooked. I've been playing for almost a week, and this game is unbelievable. The graffiti's great and the plot is fantastic too. This game is addicting and I hope it continues to be very addicting once I start getting far in the game. I recommend this game to anyone who HASN'T played it. It's worth your money!!!

look, all of you making fun of it32216

Andrea from London says (21/Sep/2003):
you have to understand that the first game in the series (Jet Grind Radio) was ment to have those graffics. And the charachters have a little something called style. Which obviously you dont. People in Japan have the most unique styles and they get all the latest trends and stuff before we do. (im noting the people who diss this game)And for you who diss their names, can you tell that its a freaking nick-name? Your just making fun of the way they are and thats not cool. but yeah anywho this game was so awesome, i loved the variety of charachters, the graffiti stunk a little bit but the tricks well made up for that!!

This game was worse than frogger!30946

Ty from Oregon, USA says (24/Aug/2003):
This game doesn't even deserve one star! The characters have stupid one-syllable names. They have bad taste in clothes, too! Who wears a beanie that sticks up two feet in the air? The graphics were like playstaition graphics! It seemed like it didn't have a story. It was WAY too easy! I beat it in four days! Four days! It wasn't fit for a toddler! It wasn't worth $57.98. For those of you who have already bought it, do not fret, it can be used as a coaster! Or a really expensive frisbee! If you are just renting it, "accidently" scratch it so nobody else has to suffer through this horrible game. Well, gotta go! See ya!

JSRF RULES33053

Dannii from Australia, QLD says (7/Oct/2003):
I love this game I truly do, I am really passionate about the music on it and I love the graffiti and skating. My fav charactors are Beat and Ryth. I also heard about Jet Grind Radio where Ryth's name was Mew....is that still avalible????? Neway the game is easy. I've beaten it. Some parts are hard though. I'm up to gettin my Jets and stuff. I love Rapid 99. I think they rock. I play it 24/7 and I've finished all of the street challenges. Is their a JSRF soundtrack? coz i wanted to burn the songs onto a CD! I LOVE JSRF...please make another JSRF!

Wow!11432

Eric from Los Angeles, California says (13/Mar/2002):
I bought this game figuring it would be just as good as the first one for dreamcast. I have always thought that the dreamcast version was good with a few things that could be fixed, but after i got this game i couldnt put it down, Its ten times better than the first one and alot more fun, although the spraypainting can get a bit teadeous there is always a surprise around the corner. I suggest if anyone has a X-box they should buy this game, and if they dont they should buy and x-box then buy the game, in other words its a great game!
