A Great Adventure Game | | Bruce from Kingwood, Texas USA says (13/Dec/2002): | I have only played X-Box for a couple of weeks and have found lots of games that are good and some that suck. "Pirates, The Legend of Black Kat" has got to be one of my favorite adventure games at the moment. If you want to see a very well endowed and pretty computer animated woman pirate kick some booty then all you need is Pirates. To bad she does not come dressed as you might please, but we won't go there right now. The game took me about 2 weeks to finish and once i was finished I wanted more of her fighting and kicking abilities. The small story line movies were great, they helped explain the game as you progressed which is real helpful. From time to time I wished that I culd have gone back and replayed those movies but I could not figure out how that might have worked. The controls were very easy to get to use, but don't get me wrong, the game is not that easy just because the controls are easy to use. The graphics are wonderful, it feels real when you play, no goofy jitters or such that some games feel like. Also the play is real in that what you control happens immediately, no "stutters" as I would call them. After all of those levels of play it was also great to be able to save the game at anytime. Some games I play are impossible because you can't save whenever you want to. Now all I need is Pirates II (if EA will make one). Get this game and enjoy, but be careful because you will want more of this "Pirate".
| Wonderful | | James from Indiana, USA says (30/Mar/2002): | How long has it taken for companies to start making really good games so that X-Box can get as much shelf space as PS2? Well, it's about time. I own Dead or Alive 3, and it is great but now makers are producing things like Pirates. Oh my the lady pirate, which you play, is so anatomically correct (and well endowed). The graphics the water is amazing, and blowing ships up WOW. I would have like to have seen better controls, but the looks make up for it. Good job, keep them coming 3rd party designers!
