Crash Bandicoot: the Wrath of Cortex is a very well thought through game.7930

A. S. C. (Magna) from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada says (19/Jun/2002):
I own an xbox and I can only say that Crash Bandicoot is my most favorite game. It doesn"t bore you as fast as alot of other games because your always trying something new, from the Mech to the Copterpack to the Jeep to all those other nifty contraptions you use. These machines were very cleverly designed to make it trickier for the user. This is the idea of the game. N.Cortex is an evil scientist who created Crunch and evil Bandicoot. Cortex hates Crash and uses the ancient elemental masks (The earth elemental, the water elemental, the fire elemental and the wind elemental) combined with Crunch to try and destroy Crash. To beat the game (the easy way) you have to collect all the crystals in an elemental's section. (You get a crystal for beating a level so you have to beat all five levels in an elemental's section.) After you collect all the crystals the level in the middle of and elemental's section (the one with the picture of crunch) will be activated and you have to try and defeat Crunch, who has a power from and elemental mask. After you beat "the Boss" (Crunch) you will be awarded with a super power that will help you with the completion of the next levels. The super powers are: Tiptoe, Super Double jump, Death Tornado, Crash Dash and Bazooka. After you beat a Boss you will go to the next elemental's section. To beat this game fully there are also additional chalenges you have to do. First of all after you beat a level you will have the op tion of time trial. When one is doing the time trial you must rush through the level in search of yellow time boxes. The boxes will freeze the time on the clock so you can gain extra time. When you finish you will be rewarded with a relic according to how long it took you to complete the level. The three colour of the relics are Saphire, Gold and Platinum. Saphirre and gold are easy to get but if you really went fast you may get a platinum. Another challenge you need to complete the full game is the gems. There are to types of gems: clear and coloured. To get a clear gem all you need to do is break all the wooden crates in a level. But to get a coloured gem you have to activate a death route. Crash Bandicoot: the Wrath of Cortex is a very good game for Everyone. With all the Contraptions and very interesting baddies, powers and strategies I would give it 10/10. It's my personal favorite and I'm sure it will become yours to.
