Ahhh |
| A gamer says (25/Oct/2003): |
In my opinion, the music is fitting..The graphics are not that great - sometimes, for example, in a particular scene when Kain is talking to Vorador his sword goes through Vorador's face and i think if it happened to me it would hurt a little. Kain wasn't attacking him, just bad graphics. It didn't seem like the makers of the game put as much effort into it as they could've. There weren't enough dark gifts to use, and the ones available you can only use for a short time because the game is so short, or like, some of the dark gifts such as fury and berserk could've merged into one (i don't get why they'd be seperate unless you wanted two to take up space so you wouldn't have to make another dark gift.) Can't move anything but people and activate switches with telekinesis, charming only humans is boring to me (there are cats, rats, and monsters - i don't understand why they can't be charmed. It's also sad that the Sarafan Lord was easier to fight than any other enemy. i also kept wondering whether there was someone in the game who could control the sun's rising and setting because i never saw the sun rise, that is just odd. The ending was poor. But then again, these are only my opinions. Maybe this game is just not for me. There were some good things about it such as the music, some graphics, the story, how lovely it is to see Kain get angry and how he laughs after eating a helpless prisoner while they scream "help me". It's worth renting.

Not as good as Soul Reaver |
| Stephen from New York, NY says (14/Feb/2003): |
I expected more from Xbox game Blood Omen 2 --or at least for it to be even a little bit better than Soul Reaver but it's not--in this game, most of the doors do nothing and most of the objects laying around are just filler to fill up the screen. Basically, you just walk around until you find the only door that works so you can move on until you get to the bosses which are not hard to fight--just super annoying because they tediously take forever to kill and if you make the slightest mistake--TOO BAD--you have to start all over in order to try to kill him in order to get your new "gift." The gifts are not cool, but you are forced to use them anyway because you can't move through the other levels without them...This game is rigid and monotonous. Kain moves like he has a stick up his butt compared to Raziel in Soul Reaver. The actor who plays Kain is really good even though the poor chap has a corny script with which to work.

Almost perfect |
| Erik from Gothenburg, Sweden says (26/Jun/2002): |
The graphics are great in this game, and the enemy AI is pretty good to. I love the back stabbing mode, it really brings out something new and fresh in this game.
However the game controls can be a little slow, espessially when you are trying to dodge enemy blows. But overall the controls and camera angles are alot better than, SoulReaver.

FUN |
| Zack H from Bloomington, IN says (31/May/2002): |
The game was very fun to play. The graphics were nice and gave a sense of being there in the game. The music in the game complimented the tone nicely. One of the things I dislike was the lack of choice in weapons. It did become monotous at times. But over all it was a good game.

Not bad |
| A gamer from Centerport,New York says (3/Apr/2002): |
Blood omen 2 was a pretty good game but not all it was cracked up too be. The gameplay, while fun, was monotonous becuase the only thing that changed at all were your dark gifts. Also some of the bosses were insanely hard because at some points in fighting them they were within stiking distance for no more than a few seconds. However it is a lot of fun evn with these minor flaws. The best part is chasing around innocent peasants and then using a club to knock their heads off
