What a surprise it was... | | fallen_september from Montréal, Qc, Canada says (22/Nov/2002): | The reason I picked up this game was because I was completely bored. I never expected it to consume so much of my time! I had figured it to be just another 'extreme sports' game, another carbon copy of the Tony Hawk series. But as early as the tutorials, I knew I was wrong. The visuals are superb! The control is a bit hair-triggered, but it's an obstacle easily overcome. The characters are well designed, and the hook to this game is something new that all other extreme sports games were missing. In Agressive Inline, you have an unlimited amount of time to complete the objectives for the level you are playing. Mind you, it's a great addition to this game, because for each level, expect to be working on 15+ objectives, from trying to impress pedestrians and photographers to getting a set amount of points to put a poor soul of a rollerblader lost to rest. There's also a neat experience point based system to improve your rollerblading skills. So the more you grind, the higher your grind capability flys. The background music has pretty much everything, including rap, techno, ska, reggae, emo and pop-punk. The sound effects are in perfect tuning, and the special effects are dazzling. The physics are pretty realistic too, as far as games of this genre go. It's a game on my wish list for Christmas.
| Aggressive Inline is Super Cool!! | | LETIA from GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA says (26/Jul/2003): | I bought Agressive Inline for my husband's birthday this weekend, thinking it was a Skateboarding game. When i actually looked at the cover when I got home, I wanted to take it back and return it. So I gave it a test run after I gave it to my husband but before he actually had a go and I became addicted to it right away. It does have similarities to Tony Hawk's Skateboarding game but was better,...different!! We have a Playstation with the Tony Hawk Skateboarding game and with the extensive practise I have had on that, it definitely helped me out with tricks etc, on the Agressive Inline game for our X Box. My husband and I don't rollerblade, never have etc, but this has definitely opened our eyes to this Extreme Sport. We like how the "Juice Bar" thing works, as it gives you more to do when actually trying to do the challenges etc on the levels. The juice bar makes up for the non-existent time bar (from Tony Hawk). We recommend it to ANYONE and EVERYONE, as you don't have to be an inline skater OR extreme sports person to reallly enjoy this game. Just be open for a Challenge!!...
| Tightest game..... | | Lonny from Oregon says (5/Jun/2002): | This game is pretty good. Games like Jet Grind Radio was putting rollerblading in the wrong direction, but this game is more like how rolling is supposed to be. Theres stupid grinds like hand grinds, and these weird moves where you fly off objects which you never see in real life, and the cess slides are very short, but it is a great game. I dont care what all the sk8 boarders out there has to say, rolling is the truest sport on wheels out there.
| like this game so much i want it for my x box | | graham daley from Nelson, England says (11/Jan/2003): | My review is very good. I think this is one of the best games out for the xbox. I think it can challenge tony hawk`s 4. The good thing is you don`t unlock stats but the bad thing is you need to keep on doing tricks to get your stats up to the max. It`s not like tony hawk`s because you don`t get a time limit on a level but you get a life bar and every time you fall you will lose some of that life. Do you know what you can unlock on this game?
| Aggressive Inline | | Sirio from San Diego , Cali , USA says (7/Apr/2003): | This is a great game! You can unlock secret charecters such as Junkie , Pirate , Mummy , Goddess , and some aviator chick. The only thing i dont like about this game is that you have this so called "Juice Meter" and ever time you bail you lose some juice.... but atleast theres no time-limit!!! If you are into rollerbladin ....(like me!. i really do rollerblade!) i DEFINATELY reccomend that you get this game!!!!!!
