Funny and fun | | Margaret from North Carolina, USA says (6/Jul/2002): | I have been playing the x-box for a long while now and this is one of the few games that is actually fun and interesting, and challenge but not difficult to master. With the funny smart ass comments made and the little quirks that the individual players have to the character, it is truly entertaining. But I must agree with another gamer as he suggested the three golf courses will become completely boring and there should be newer upgrades aviable in the near future for those are starting to get just a tad bit bored with the same golf courses over and over again...but in the long run it is pretty fun!
| Fun, but wears off | | A gamer from Detroit, USA says (2/Jul/2002): | This is the kind of game you wrack your brain unlocking everything and forget to enjoy the play. It has amazing detail and many game modes, but only 3 golf courses. This is the kind of game that needs future upgrades available to download. Eventually the novelty of a stripper pole dancing after a birdie wears off. My suggestion is plug in the unlock code, play it, like it, and take it out when friends are around.
| Fun game and not easy to master | | gwilli from St Paul, MN says (18/Jun/2002): | I've had Outlaw Golf for the past week and it is a very funny, entertaining and original game. It is similar to Hot Shots but the characters are more geared to an older audience. You can play tournament style stroke play, match play and skins. There are only 3 courses but a variety of events at each. You also can improve your players by skill challenges at the Outlaw Range. A refreshing change from the humdrum sim type games. Easy to play but challenging enough. It is easy to handicap a better opponent by having them use a crappy, undeveloped player. Overall, a very good effort.
| Great Golf Game | | Jim Ryan from Indianapolis, IN says (14/Jun/2002): | I had zero problems playing this game as soon as i picked it up, control schemes are easy, putting is cake, i mean this is a great golf game. I wouldnt put it up in the class of Hot Shots, but its worth picking up, with all the goodies and extra's in the game, i highly recommend it to anyone.
| Great fun, but not so good golfing | | chris from tampa florida says (13/Jun/2002): | OK here is the real deal. If you want a golf game that is fun to play with awesome characters, good graphics, great commentary and just a flat out funny golf game than this is for you. It includes things such as beating the crap out of your caddy, lesbian golfers smacking each others asses, and hitting golf balls over an intersection of cars and traffic onto the fairway. BUT, if you are serious about golf games and looking to win tournaments, keep records, and things like that then this isnt the game for you. I would highly recommend tiger woods 2002 for ps2, that is the greatest golf game out right now. I have played outlaw golf for 2 days straight now, and still can not win a tournament or do well in scoring. You can spin the ball, the distance on shots is ridiculously inaccurate, and putting is set up so stupidly, youd think its a mini golf putting screen. Too bad it wasnt more realistic like Tiger Woods 2002 for ps2, it had great potential and could have been a great game...... Chris Conroy from Tampa Florida
