Better than average, but could be better | | Simeon from Warrington, England says (31/Jul/2002): | Nice game, camera angles being highly annoying, especially when inside building's. You push the right thumstick one way, expecting the camera to follow you, but noooooo, it does'nt. The guards should be able to walk around a bit more instead of following a path, they should also have times in the day where they change shifts, becuase no way can that gaurd in the mess hall of stalg luft be sat on that chair for 12 day's with out moving. There should have been more interaction with other prisoners and guards, rather than just the scripted information that you get. All in all, not a bad game, although it can be highly frustrating, especially with the time skips when you load a game. And some aspects of the game have definate room for improvment.
| Great idea, but lost it's way | | steve from England says (27/Jul/2002): | I was quite looking foward to this game, remembering the days of the great escape on the C64 all those years ago. Sadly this game loses out in many ways, firstly the only thing that seems to change from level to level is the scenery and the annoying prisoners you become stuck with. this had the potential to be one of the great games on the X-box, the idea of escaping from a POW camp - but there is not one shred of violence that can be dished out, you can't just jump a fence and if you cross the death lines - to the cooler you go. Anyway enough of my rambling, all in all a pretty poor attempt but that is just my opinion. If you like the look of this game then rent it before you buy it.
