Awesome game, and great sound effects and graphics |
| Ken Barton from Forrest Illinoise U.S.A says (16/Mar/2005): |
Smeechdog this game is too realistic. Just because a guy ran into a wall means nothing. Games are hard to make so aguy runs into a wall and you think it sucks thats just bull. I love this game. There are great graphics and good sound effects. I love it. Hey smeech if you're mad about this email eat it. you can email me at dragons_medievilgiants< remove me > at yahoo.com Now don't be talkin' no more smack until you come out with a game this great.

Realistic? |
| smeechdog from United Kingdom says (7/Apr/2004): |
Ok...you may've seen the advert -
'when i get to heaven, to St.Peter I will tell;
one more soldier reporting sir...I've served my time in hell" Well, I thought they were talking about a night-out in Liverpool, not this game. Don't get me wrong the immersive sound and the fact that my grandfather is now medicated after suffering a series of flashbacks from the beach-landing stage do give this game a fairly strong reputable base. However, scary? I don't think...how scary is a German running into a wall? Ask my grand-pappy and he'll tell you 'not scary at all'...he'll also tell you to do what the thousands who have bought this game already know - to shoot the blind wall-hugging nazi in the back.
Realistic?...If all Nazi's ran into walls..or hid 'ostrich style', that is...in a way that meant if their eyes aren't looking at you you can't kill them (tops of heads/limbs poking out), or ran towards you without firing while you mow them down with a tommy-gun the war would've lasted about 4 days, not 4 years, and we never would've pulled out of 1930's economic depression!
According to this game there also seems to be 'invisible bullet-proof walls', (which german soldiers shelter behind) in some parts of Europe, and living in the UK I feel it might be a clue to a continental conspiracy against my tiny island, cause I've never seen one in real-life.
On the sniper level, the soldiers that occasionaly help you can be pushed through the scenery in a ghostly fashion once you've cleared an area...(which I actually found the most sinister aspect of the game, as it reminded me of the real-loss of life, as their eyes stared into mine.)
I know I've ranted a little, and it is still an ok game...it does remain faithful to WW2, but is by no means realistic of it. It's not even the greatest FPS in the world as multiplayer stinks and after the first ground-breaking level (which is, by the way...far too easy for a beach landing against two German machine-gun nests and bunkers), the game becomes a one-man mission against 2-3 germans at a time...'Achtung' "bang bang"...pick up health and on your merry way...if only all wars were as simple? Occasional gimmicks such as getting a uniform/shooting from a static machine gun do litter your journey...and the ability to 'cook' (hold onto) grenades to alter your fuse-time once thrown do help to bring back some satisfaction...but the promise of a great game is lost to shoddy AI and an implausibility factor of 10.

hey this game does not meet up with the xbox full power. so I didn't really like this game. so buy halo it is going to bethe money |
| terrance from brawley CA usa says (12/Aug/2003): |
what the hell are you guys thinking this is the most ralistic game that you have ever played please look at halo it highly surpasses madal of honor front line but it is still a verry injoable game but does not even come close in my opinion to the xbox real capabilities it is just a port. from the playstation 2. I give this game. 4-10

Excellent |
| Ben Dover from Miami, Nebraska says (29/Jul/2003): |
I think MOH Frontline is a great game for xbox. It's even better than the one for Gamecube. The graphics are better and it seems more realistic to me.
I gave this a 9 because u can get shot too many times before dying. And the tanks should either kill you or don't do as much damage.
The game would be better if u had more people or your team in the missions.
The multi-player should have bigger areas and you should be able to play as teams or against a computer.

It was Pretty Good |
| Birchie from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia says (12/Jul/2003): |
I think that this game would have to be one of the most realistic games i have ever played on my Xbox, but there are a few problems with it
1: the multi player is really boring because u cant play against computers aswell as other players.
2:As if they would send 1 person into battle without sending a squad with them
3:U get hit heaps of times and still dont die
But the sound is great the visual is also great and thats why i gave this game an 8 out of 10
If u are into war games this is a great one!

Fairly Good |
| Phil McCracken from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia says (12/Jul/2003): |
I think that the audio and visual effects of this game are excellent, but some of the parts are a bit unrealistic such as
1: first level when the planes drop bombs on the beach it leaves no holes.
2:it is a bit unrealistic that there would be one guy to do everything he does.
all in all this game is a very good game for action lovers, and if u are a war fanatic this would have to be the game for you!!

Good as Halo |
| Brandon Harkey from Bessemer City,N.C.,U.S.A. says (12/Jul/2003): |
This game is as good as Halo. It has a great storyline and is fun to play. I think it is best on Xbox.It is so real it feels like you are in WW11.I love this game so much only I play it in my house. It is one of the best games ever made.

The Game |
| JD from cincinnati, Ohio says (2/Jul/2003): |
This game is ok. But i really dont see why people are so facinated with it. It is very UNREALISTIC, not realistic at all!. There are many reasons this games isnt all that!
REASON 1: You fight all by yourself, for most of the game. I dont think 1 person can take out 50 germans, like in the very last level, which most of them have bazooka things.
REASON 2: You cary like 4 and 5 weapons at a time. That is very stupid. Nobody ever carried 5 HEAVY weapons during WWII, and they still dont today!
REASON 3: THE AI STINKS. what kind of game is it when the AI will stand 5 ft in front of you, and shoot at you, instad of runnig and taking cover, and having a sweet gunfight. Dont get me wrong, they do take cover sometimes, but not much.
REASON 4: They totally messed up the Omaha Beach level. What a joke. All your allies that storm the beach with you(wich is only like 6, and thats stupid), they are all scripted to die. I'll be looking at a guy in he water walking up to the beach, and all of the sudden, wham! He just falls down and dies. No bullets even came close to him either. Thats lame
REASON 5: It takes a lot of shots to die. I once got hit 110 times, still alive! Thats messed up!
When i saw the previews on T.V. for the game i was like, SWEET. But i soon learned it stunk. And i am a big time WWII buff. Trust me dont get it. its lame

Almost what I had hoped for. |
| Scott Ackerman from Forest Hill, MD, USA says (31/Mar/2003): |
I was greatly anticipating MOHF. The campagin is great, the guards speak real German, and the sound effects are AMAZING! In digital surround sound this babe is excellent. The problem though, is the fact that the sounds I hear are bullets passing me, not hitting me, because the AI is dum, very dum. The multiplayer sucks. Perhaps I could have some cool 1 on 1 sniper battles if the game was system link (so it would be on 2 TVs and on one could see each other). Otherwise, this game is great, especially for a WWII buff like me.

MOH: Frontline Rocks!!!!!!!! |
| Ian from Japan says (16/Feb/2003): |
MOH: Frontline is one bada** game. I have seen the versions on the PS2 and the XBox and I have played the Xbox version as well. It looks a hell of a lot better on the XBox. The realism of the game is unbeliaveable. EA Games did a wonderful job in creating MOH: Frontline. I would like to see them do another war game. I give this game a PERFECT 10!! If you don't have this game, GO GET IT TODAY!!

This game kicks ass |
| Juan from Silver Spring M.D. USA says (20/Jan/2003): |
This game has it all. You just start playing this game for a moment and your hooked. The graphics kick ass and the game is very realistic. What frustrates me a little is that its so real that some of the guns have terrible aim but hey they are ww2 guns so who cares.
|
the best war game ever made |
| sw from kansas,USA says (2/Jan/2003): |
this game is so realistic it scares me, especially on D-Day. this game is the best and most realistic game ever.
|
Wartime Frenzy! |
| Graham from NYC says (1/Jan/2003): |
This game is another reason to buy X-Box. Of course MOH:Frontline looks better on X-Box more than Ps2. It is like a blood-free WW2 version of Halo. People aren't going to call games 'The Next Halo' anymore. They will be calling it 'The next Medal of Honor'! Controls are easy and gameplay is fun. It gets a little difficult without codes. GOOD LUCK!

Realism |
| A gamer from Denver, CO. USA says (26/Nov/2002): |
This game is one of the most realistic FPS I have seen in a long while everything from the sound of the bullets hissing as they land closer to you to the weapon and costume detail. Awesome game that is worth buying if you are a fan of military or FPS games.
|
Sweet game |
| Steve from NY, USA says (16/Nov/2002): |
this game is a real sweet game, very realistic. Some of the stuf that goes on is unreal. It even gives you help to do your tasks, so it isn't real hard, but real fun. I thought halo was the best but this could give it some competition. I recommend renting it or just going out and buying it.
|
Ok Game |
| Jiffy Lube 86 from IL USA says (16/Nov/2002): |
This is a good first person shooter. It's kind of annoying because there are no training missions and its hard to get started. Its pretty good when you get the hang of it.
