Ive played a lot of with this game and there are only a thing that I dont like very much. It's that you can win all the matches you want if you try a few movements with the pivots. you cant avoid it rewriting some atributes of the players like stamina and post offensive caracteristics. After that, the game likes veru different and its explosive. You can choose the better team you think but you can be beated by a very bad team. I think this game is the best i ve ever seen. bye

Of all the NBA Games that I've tried on consoles or on a PC, Sega Sports NBA 2K3 blows the competition away. Next closest game would be NBA Street for an arcade-like feel to the game, then Electronic Arts' NBA Live 2003 as my last choice for basketball. I'll compare 2K3 and NBA Live 2003 since they somewhat similar. To include NBA Street would be to compare apples and pc's :)
As a long time NBA Live fan (since NBA Live 96), it was not easy to accept that Sega's 2K3 was just better overall. Both have good graphics for what a PS2 can offer, and both have their share of decent sound and obnoxious sound tracks. Sound effects are both pretty good, both games have poor play-by-play commentaries that get pretty old 3 minutes into the game...You'll probably end up turning off that feature after the first few times they make comments that make you want to write the game producers and ask them "what the heck were you thinking when you added this?" As far as realism score goes, NBA 2K3 and NBA Live are on the opposite sides of spectrum. NBA 2K3 has great realism to it, the opposing team does not steal the ball by lifting their arm in mid-air with their back to it, unlike the other game, which is terribly annoying when you notice that opposing team has all player with at least 7 steals! This game would deflect the ball instead of pretending that the players are clones of Peter Parker with sticky hands.
The game really blows your mind when you play the Franchise mode. Multi-player, multi-team trades, trading draft picks and salary cap management. A NBA fantasy player's playground! Front Office management, trade baits, future draft picks, injuries and the free agent market after an injury exception...'nuff said!
The game is without "B" & "C" type bugs. Switching players around to different positions will show animations of players coming in from the bench even if the players are already in the game. The game stops play after a made free throw (not the 1st of 2) to allow substitutions. Did I already mention the annoying in-game commentaries? The opposing team seems to be able to shoot with an incredible high percentage rate, and sometimes forgets that a player with 2 fouls in usually taken out in the first quarter.
The bottom line is that after considering what other NBA games are available, Sega's 2K3 rises above the competition to Facialize, Victimize and Posterize them! The game is not perfect, just much better than the rest.

Nba2k3: This game is the best nba game ever made. The players are really realistic. Example: This game has the Rasheed Wallace gray spot on the back of his head. Franchise mode is awesome you can import players to the nba draft, trade players , and sign free agents, & see if your players get better through the years. Create players is nice cuz you can make it lookk just like you. The gameplay is cool because action camera veiws, awesome dunks, alley oops, dime passes, and nice layups, and you can steal the ball off the inbound, and dive for loose balls. Madden= $40.00, Nba street vol. 2= $50.00, Nba 2k3= priceless.

The reason why i like this game is because NBA 2k3 is a really grouse game. The graphics are cool, the gameplay makes you feel like your at a real NBA game. The presentation is like the T.V coverage. There is plemty of fun to be had with this game. Even if your not an NBA lover, you will like this game. It is better than Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid 2.But overall, it is dull, and boring. It is worse than Spyro. The coverage for the game is appalling, the graphics are pathetic.I could of made a better game.

Best game.(period) Very fun but i dont really like how they do the fadeaways. I also think that there are alot of players that are either not as good as in real life or to good. But aside from those small probs. Its a great game! I'd reccommend it to anyone. The controls do take a little getting used to but its a good game.

Sega 2k3 is the best basket ball game yet. Not like that nba live wich is so fast.its to easy! 2k3 is just right it has the best graphics, game play and originality. Like the street mode the courts are so realistic. The espn mode makes it more interesting.Create player and team mode is the best in its class. Players are great they miss shots not like live that pleyers are freaks, they miss shots raerly. In 2k3 The players bodys are very 3d. The ballons when your making freethrows is so excellent. The games are very exciting. And it gives you teams such as 50's and 60's allstars. Shooting is so fun. The players hair is so realistic. All in all Sega 2k3 is the best basket ball game today!!!

Yea this game isn't all that great, it's way too hyped up and delivers nothing but disappointment. I expected arcade-style gameplay and an intense multiplayer challenge. Instead, I found that NBA 2K3 was more of a simulation-type game and the multiplayer doesn't even compare to the legendary NBA Jam series from way back in the day. The shooting controls take quite a bit of getting used to, and even then it is difficult to line up a shot in the heat of competition. On the plus side, the graphics are excellent, but still aren't good enough to make the game achieve a status of excellence. I suggest renting this game before you blow $50 of you hard-earned money.

This game is the best basketball game out to date. After playing both Live and 2K3, 2K3 takes the cake. Live is just way too easy. Although the right analog is cool, it just makes it even easier to score. 2K3 is really realistic. Play the game right and you could win like the Lakers. Play it wrong and you'll end up losing like the Knicks. The graphics are amazing. The only better thing that Live has over 2K3 is the tattoos look much better, and more players have tattoos in Live. (e.g. in live shaq has all 4 of his tattoos detailed, in 2k3 he just has a black triangle blob thats supposed to be the superman logo.)The gameplay is great, the arenas are very detailed unlike Live, and there are even mascots on the sidelines. And the opening introduction make it even better. There are a few glitches but it doesn't really make a difference in gameplay. Freethrows have become easier the past 2k series which is a plus. And the ESPN style makes it look like you're watching on t.v. Players are extremely 3d even Ben Wallace's fro looks perfect. The way players adjust there shot depending on where they are and how quick they turn around makes it even better. The only problem is lay-ups are missed too frequently. What it comes down to though if you want the best 2K3 is the game for you.

This game is the most advance games that I ever played. The NBA 2K,2K1, and 2k2 version for dreamcast was great,but NBA 2K3 for the Xbox and Playstation system is super crazy. Nice job.
