hilarious | | BMXRAMFIT from Carlisle, PA says (15/Mar/2004): | Oh My God this game is so freakin funny. First off when you suck blood she moans like crazy as if she's having sex and about to orgasm. Second I'm not sure about you but I found NAZIs actually having sex with eachother and that's always good when a game makes fun of the stupid queers. Third the main complaint what the heck is up with you getting hurt by water I've never heard of a Vampire having a weakness to water except holy water but still just plain water come on.

It is a great game, albeit a tad on the repetitive side. The gore makes up easily for the repetitive nazi killing up until you face the super vampires (they're interesting). I still remember sniping a super vampire's foot off, then as I took aim at the next one running towards me, I noticed the first one grew a new foot and continued where he left off. I just love the first line in Germany, when she hops off the half-track or whatever it was..."Thanks for the lift, %$#< remove me > at hole" in Rayne's great voice (it's been a while since I played it, don't quote me on that.....well, quote.).
I just want to say one thing about one of the other reviews, it's about the douchebag with the really big review and no paragraphing at all (sign of little intelligence). Ok, the fact that she's wearing a thong, her clothes are stitched together, and her hair is down are not factors in whether or not the game itself is good. She's sexy in the vampiric way. She's seemingly flawless physically, she's graceful yet still incredibly sadistic in combat, and her voice is great. She's still one of my more favourite heroines mostly because she is horribly sadistic and loves berating her foes at any chance she gets.
The only thing that is flawed is that the game supposedly takes place around world war 2 I do believe, yet she's dressed in what looks like PVC.
In summary, it's a great gory game, but only rent it, you'll more than likely finish the game in one, maybe two rentals.

Quite funny and stress relieving, still havent beaten the game yet, the realism on it is cool. If blood, violonce, dark & mysteriously sexy women is your type of game, buy it! My age suggestion is any age, if you are up for it! Hey i'm younger than the game age rating by a lot, still love the game and can cope with it! Rock on rayne!

Many great things about this game, it's one of the games i'm glad i bought. There are downsides to it, though.
Bad stuff: Her costume does not make sense. Yeah, it may look sexy, ( so i hear from many people that she's sexy, in fact it says it on the back of the BR box that she's a "wickedly sexy heroine".) i personally don't find her sexy. Back to her clothes - panties up her butt while killing, maybe that's her thing, or the makers of the game's idea of how sexy it would be to make a sexy girl even sexier with thongs on the job (which requires alot of moving.) i don't see how she can change her clothes - they are stiched together. i mean does she tear them off each time she changes or what or does she even change because if she doesn't that's just gross after rubbing up against those nasty worm things. Her hair is down throughout the whole game. This is a huge issue, i usually will not watch a movie or play a game with a male or female or tran whos' hair is down while in combat - vampyre or not. For those of us who've had long hair or do, it is extremely difficult to fight with hair flying in your eyes and hitting your face or getting stuck in something, (unless you don't mind cuts in your eyes, and having to pull your scalp off because it's stuck in a door or someone's teeth or clothes.) i have a friend i've said this to, and he said, "But she's a vampyre, hair doesn't bother her." My point in explaining about the hair and just the overall costume is that it seems like the makers of the game were concentrating far too hard on her looks, and peoples' fantasies of sexiness instead of making the game better than it is. The 180 degree turn is accurate and useful, but, all the camera angles and basically the controls are just complicated. Pressing the left trigger over and over as the only way to fight is ridiculous and you can't control which blade/kick attack to use, especially at a time that calls for a specific attack. Hmmm, and not much of a variety of enemies, but that's okay. And umm, the sun never comes up, it makes no sense.
i suggest renting it first. i bought it because i knew there would be a second part to the game, and wanted to have them both - i prefer playing or watching the first part of anything Right before playing the second. If there wasn't a second part coming, i wouldn't have bought it.

By the dozen ! Kicking some butt and chopping people to bits. Because thats all this game has to offer!On the other hand if this sounds like fun to you , Go get it, the game has good graphics for a ps 2 game.
The sound track fits the game, dark and sinister .You can always pop in your favorite cd and jam out if you get bored with it.But dont because you will miss out on some cool butt sound effects and take something away from your whole gameing experience if you do .It's only a game so have fun!!!!

I like it when her enemies body parts are dismembered. I also like the juggs. They bounce sometimes. I just thought that was different. Need a wider veriety of enemies also. The graphics were ok. I know they could have been better though. I gave it a ten because I like were their going with X BOX. This is just the beginning of what is to come. Their will be better games, and less than a year from now this game will have the number 0. I know their will be better games with more blood, sex and violence. The American dream. PIECE

Its just awsome if you like hack and slashgames. Its the best ive seen so far. I dont really know why people are saying its a hard game though. You can get full health at anytime by just eating an enemy! And on later missions when the enemys are getting harder you can just put on te slowtime visionmode (like in max payn or the matrix) I definatley think its worth the money!

Her lines are cool, the other one liners are crappy though. It has good graphics and the gameplay is pretty good too. I hope there will be a Bloodrayne 2 coming out this year. But if you do like blood, flying body parts and a hot chick that can kick ass and take names then this is your game. 9 out of 10, go get it!!!

Game play can be difficult at first to adjust to. Then again, that's why they give you the training level. It's hard, having to restart the level sucks. Good things: it's The Matrix meets Tomb Raider. You get to slow down time, bust out killer moves with bloodlust, and all while wearing stilettos. Definetely a rent, but if you get hooked like I did, then it's a must-buy.

First of all the storyline is disjointed. There is never any main objective; one never really know why one's doing what one's doing. Thus, the game fails to draw you into its gothic world because of a weak plot (and ending for that matter). Another area where the game slaks in is its sound qualitiy. Though the characters speak throughout the game one has to struggle constantly to make out what they are saying. Also, Rayne says some pretty sadistic things when shes killing her prey, yet I wouldnt know unless I was blowing my tv speakers on volume 10. Overall the game is fun to play and is a must rent. The game has minimum replay value (unless your as ruthless as me and just enjoy killing and feeding on nazis), so definately dont by it. I guess I just feel like the game was rushed... hopefully the second one (as the ending leaves us to believe) will be better.

She has four blades. Two at her wrist and 2 at her long beautiful legs. Kill everything you see. Anything. You will get stuck at somepoint. I did. And this game is freakiously hard. You will have to retstart the level. Trust me.And the bad thing is that you can't save in the middle of the level.All right lets say you fight your way through the level for a good 15 minutes and you die at the end. You have to restart the level from the begginig. And the levels are freaking hard. The camera angles are bad except that you have a button on the controller that allows you turn 180 automatically. I would not buy it though. I rented it. Rent it. Because this is a game that you don't really want to be playing over and over and over again.This game is only good for 1 time. The third person controls are all right. Shooting her guns are easy and moving around is fairly easy. She automatically locks on to a person with her guns. You can also look for stuff with Aura sense. Her bloodlust meter is easy to fill. And the dilated precipation is somewhat easy to use. It slows down time allowing you to dodge bullets(no time limit)and hack the person to pieces. But bloodlust is better. Rent this game.

There are just a few things to get used to, if you're going to enjoy your BloodRayne experience. First: I hope you're used to third-person action games with poor camera angles, because this game definetly fits in that category. Second: Prepare to restart levels, many of them are fairly long, and pretty difficult. Third: Keep a barf-bag nearby, the screams and mutilation might get to you! You start the game as Rayne, a half-vampire, half-human living in New Orleans, circa early 1900's. There's an outbreak of strange beings, insect-like. Naturally, you have to investigate and destroy this outbreak before it consumes all of New Orleans. Once this is all done, you'll end up in the middle of a nazi camp. How you get there and what you have to do, I won't spoil. But prepare for action! This game will almost never let you stop to take a breath! There are PLENTY of enemies to dismember, and a score of weapons to collect and use. Rayne learns new techniques that will help you get out of trouble quickly, including a feature that slows down time, matrix-like, so you can give a beating to the poor sucker in front of your twin-blades. Also, if you ever need strength, do what any half-vampire beauty would do! Suck the blood of a nearby enemy, dispatching him and replenishing your health.
An eerie yet beautiful ambience, and action packed game are a few labels proud to be stuck onto this game. Yet there are a few things lacking. The story isn't so great, neither are the frustrating controls and camera angles. And it's a hard game, good lord, why does there have to be so many guards at all times, shooting at you from places you can never seem to find? And most boss fights, and puzzles are jokes. It's a good rental, but as far as replayability goes, BloodRayne is not the strongest title on the market. It's like a Schwartzenegger movie, you won't be expecting a great story, or an Oscar winning performance, but the action alone will get you through it.

It's a lot like the matrix only youre a hot vampire chick with big boobs that sucks blood and has two really big knifes. It rocks. I wouldn't buy it but you should rent it for sure. Iv'e been playing it for a few days and still havent beaten it or gotten tired of it. The only thing I dont like is that you can't save in the middel of a level so if you get to the end guy of the level and die you have to replay the whole level. Besides that it's great. I definatly recondmend it.
