I used too spend hours playing Mortal Kombat non stop, but I think deadly alliance is a bit pointless. Why take some of the old fatalities out? (for example Jonny Cage's torso rip) And the krypt is so pointless and time consuming. You probably spend more time in the krypt trying to find out which coffin to chose, than you do actually playing arcade mode. Though I do think some things about the game are amazing the 3 fighting styles, the special moves, and the combos remind me of the Matrix. The graphics are amazing and some of the new characters are good like; Mavado, Frost and Nitara. But Drahmin and Hsu Hao are just pointless. Overall I think this game is worth the money but there is room for improvement

this by far is the best fighting game aside from streetfighter.
the graphics are amazing for a fighting game,the storyline is great,the sound is amazing,and the legitamint fighting styles,the character motions are amazing,and being able to use your weapon by pressing one button insteadback,back,up,b,a,up,is also a good plus.the variaty of things to do in the gam(konquest,arcade,krypt,extras)are amazing.the only reason i did not give this game a 10 is becuse wen playing on the higher difficultyys the ai becomes imposible and cheases.and the other reason i did not give this game a 10 is becuseTHEY KILLED LUI KANG!!! and he died such an unhonerable death !!!!but over all i think this game is worth every cent.

Don't get me wrong... I loved this game, but there were some major shortcommings.
First of all... What's the deal with Reptile?? He used to be so sweet (tied as fav char), but in this they turned him into a retarted looking lizard. I will never use his crab style because he just looks so damn stupid. And his new costume looks the exact same... It would have been tight if it was his human form, but noooo...

The other thing is Scorpion's ending... My fav character died!!!! He's dead now... forever. No comming back as a spector... his entire soul was ripped to pieces.
All in all, it's a great game, but they f*cked up my 2 favorite characters, so I'm a little unhappy.

Well, i got this as an early christmas present, and i thought the game was phat as #uck, i loved it, it is a fun game to play, wish there were more fatalities, why'd they take the animalities away, that would be kool to see Sub-Zero turn into the Polar Bear again, and all the others, i am glad they kept Sub-Zero in this one, that does kinda suck that Liu Kang died in the opening cinematic, I would have loved playing as him again. Liu Kang was kool, but, i am kinda glad he died, i am glad that they gave Sub-Zero a counterpart (Frost). I am very glad they kept my dogg Cyrax. I have not unlocked him yet, but, i am well on my way. Well, i am out. JAYYSIN WINS!!! FATALITY!

Bah. This is a decently good game, but still nowhere near the excellence that is Tekken or Virtua Fighter. Dead or Alive 3 is a much better buy for the Xbox. The different styles is an excellent idea, but again this game lacks execution. While the graphics are pretty, the figures are unnatural; their movements don't seem to flow. The fatalities lack the imagination they once had, and overall the game just doesn't have a huge sense of fun. This game is definitely a step in the right direction for Mortal Kombat, a series that has long suffered from repetitiveness and cheap tricks. This game is good for a rental - you'll tire of it before you send it back.

Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance is a great game. The graphics and everything are far better than many other games. Mortal Kombat 1 was a real drag, but Mortal Kombat II is where the fun came in. I like Trilogy and MK 4 the best, but I love Deadly Alliance too. But the story says that Liu Kang was to have immortality after defeating Shinnok, and he died here! Also, Sonya Blade plunged to her death after a fight with Jarek in MK 4. Another thing, Raiden's name was first spelt: "Rayden". Another thing, in this game I would have liked to see _multiple_ fatalities. They have a lot of thought, except that there was only one! So, all up, I give this game a 9.

Mortal Kombat D A , is a pretty good game.. I like the fighting styles and the moves , it could use more and better moves though. I still haven't checked the whole game out since I just got it today , but it is pretty cool , I rate it an 8. Just because... The only fighting games that should get a 10 or more ,should be Soul Calibur for the dreamcast and Soul Calibur 2 whenever it's spose to come out... For PS2 or xbox possibly even game cube? Don't know yet , but i played it at the arcade and it was the BIZOMB!!! lol. But MKDA is still a very good fighting game to buy , keep and play all the time:) Iam out for now , Pe< remove me > at ce;)

Game play is tight switch to diffrent marshall arts, use weapons then put it back. fatalities are even better,they have some old ones but with a big time kick.Molock one of the worse second boss ever to beat, no more air kicks to cheat the boss out this time, even mst of your powers dont hurt him much, just go in there with som heavy combos.There are a hole lot of extra goodies inside like "The Krypt" with over 600 coffens with a goody "ALMOST" in everyone of them. The graphics are the best, different face bruses, blood that drips down your body and even expressions.You need to get this great game now!

I was a little skeptical about this one. I played it and I could not stop. The graphics are sweet, the sound affects are realistic(swords slashing together,screams of pain,ect.),the story line is good (Liu Kang gets killed),and the new characters are awsome! The thing I like most about it is the two player mode. You can play mini-games and make wagers on fights. The moves are very realistic,but at the same time they are not. Each fighter has three different types of fighting styles and one includes a weapon. It is a fun game and if you like mortal kombat you will be very pleased with this one.

in holland Mk is really populair, when i first saw that shao kahn was dead i was suprised and when i saw Lui kang going Dead i was even MORE suprised i dont know if youve noticed but Lui kang is the best fighter in al the mk serie's killing him was not very smart if Mk6 comes out on Ps2 than bring him back or something with magic or what ever i dont care , but the game on itself is GREAT i like scorpion with his ''new'' suit he rocks BUT i hate it that noob saibot,rain,that red cyrax,sindel, are gone AND I HATE THAT STUPID REPTILE THING IN MK5 he looks like freakin small godzilla man

This game is definately the one game that will not be taken out of my PS2 for a while. It'll keep u into it wether u want to play or watch the making of the game, or the even a music video from Adema. The music video itself is awsome. It has some fight sequences that r off the chain. And watching how the game was made, is pretty interesting. I can't believe that that few of people made the first one, and then it takes over 50 to make this one. How great is that? I just wish I could find some awsome cheats. Neway, just to let ya'll know, this game is the freakin best!!!! GET IT....NOW!!!!!

MKDA is the best MK ever anyone that enjoys a brutal fighting game will enjoy this game it as good as soul calibur 2 and it came out long after and MKDA was one one of the first games I ever bought and i still play it they should enable it to play online so everyone that has a different opinion can challenge the true followers but the people that hate it arent very good at it or they would all write great reviews about this game because all MK fans know that it was hard enough to surpass MK3 for characters skills and costumes now all you trash talkers have to agree with that

The Game is ok But what bugs me is the character Endings all sucked Except for Quan chi. The video showed Quan chi getting Kano to turn on shang tsung so when Kano turned on Shang tsung He shut off his Endless supply of souls. So when doing this It Killed Shang Tsung. The souls went spewing around the room. Quan Chi then realised that if kano could so easily turn on Shang Tsung So easily he could turn on him as well so quan Chi then tried to kill Kano then after Kano dies one of the souls that was spewing around the room Shot in to kano The Soul was lui kang

This newest installment of MK is the best to date with the three styles of fighting for each warrior it really gives me the chance to open a can of whoop ass on whichever poor sucker challenges me.. MK4 sucks as it was to slow and lame i went and brought an xbox primarily for this game well done to midway for bucking their ideas up and designing a fighting game worth spending £39,.99 on money well spent if you ask me the only reason i didnt give it 10/10 is because it takes eons to open up all the koffins without cheating and half of them are naff ps scorpion rules

this game sucked so much its to real and gay. mk trilogy is the best fighitnig game ever. freakin bring back run and unrealistic moves that noob saibot n the robots use. smoke better come back or MK will fall. they need John Tobias back. Mk 4 was the beggining of the gayness for MK. the combos and everything has gotten so lame. weapons are gay. weapons= tekkon not mk get rid of the gay $#< remove me > at !. bring Mk trilogy to ps2 with better graphics and thats all. put it online so you can all get fuked up by me becuase i am the king of that game

This game is cool like all the other mortal kombat games. Deadly Alliance has really cool graphics. When I saw the trailer for it and i saw Scorpions "Snake" come out of his game i was like sweet ass! but on the game its a rope with a spear at the end! REALLY DISAPOINTING! Only one Fatality really sucked. The gore of the game was really weird especially on the Fatalities blood would just poor down them. The three fighting styles is like the coolest idea ever. Yeah well if there was a choice of this or DOA3 i recommend this.

I think it sucks. They are too slow for my fingers and the computer is unfair and there is only ONE fatality. I think that Mortal trilogy is the best and the Mortal kombat deadly alliance needs improvement. What improvements? the speed for one I like quick games, more fatalities,brutalities,friendships and Animalitly oh! and don't forget babality,the computer must be more realistic I mean come on! Its not that its too hard cause I like a challenge. I hope the next MK that comes out will be better I look forward to it.

I thought this game was pretty sweat. But there's only 1 fatality and thats really stupid. I kinda wished they didn't kill Liu Kang. And what about Johnny Cage not punching people in their nuts. Graphics were sweat. Girls' boobs jiggles too much. Reptile looks retarded now. I like how you can impale weapons into people (but sometimes i want it back). Also theres alot of people not in here like two of my favorites smoke, and Noob Sabot (i forget his name). But i loved all the blood and it actually stays there.

The Good Part is easy this is one of the greatest games made especially with great graphics and with weapons thatu dont have to cheat to get. The bad ummm.... first is the one fatality sucks i mean who wants to watch the same thing over and over. Second the gore and blood sucks with all the little pieces that look alike the organs should be detailed more like a heart pumping on the ground. Other than these MKDA is one of the best (or maybe it is)games around and hopefully it will get better.
