I got Sega GT 2002 as my first game but I didn't think it was interesting. I have 8 other games that were easy to beat and after that I got bored. So I turned on Sega GT 2002 and in a matter of days I was hooked. Thanks to the long gameplay I'm not bored anymore. I recomend this game to any XBOX users is it is my favorite. But although it has a long gameply, there is a downside. as you progress through the official races, the game gets tougher. Now some people may like games getting togher, but it was tough in the first place. they could also put some cheats in this game. But like I said, wicked awsome. The sounds are realistic, the cars are real, and there are so many cars to choose from. for me, this game will never get old.

This game is by far the most excellent racing game for the Xbox but after I played it it was missing something. The game has pretty good detail in cars and has excellent accuracy in the gameplay and the most fun is tunning up the cars and buying stuff to make my garage look "spiffy".Though all its a good game but there still was something missing....then it hit me,the game length.For one thing I beat the game getting all 1st place in every race which tells you something.Then and finally is that it was too short,but sure after that you can buy cars and tune them up. After awhile it can get alittle boring. If your a racing fan get this game no dought,but if your a hardcore gamer u might just want to rent this one,trust me.

This game is awesome; however, there are a few changes I would make. Don't let the rest of this review throw you off: I love the game. That's why I'm being so hard on it. I want more, and I want better.
More cars! I was disappointed in the fact that there wasn't a single Porshe. I'm not talking about adding another 10 different versions of an existing car either. Come on guys! pick up a Motor Trend or Road & Track already.
More tracks! They've got a good idea going using parts of existing tracks and adding a few new turns, but to really make a legendary game they need to add some new tracks.
Also, more cheats would be cool too. Everybody likes hidden cars, cheats, etc. to discover and fiddle with.

when i got my christmas pack i immeadiatly started playing sega gt. it was so exciting!! the grapics are brilliant and the sense of speed you get when driving in one of the best cars around the world is just awesome. also nearly all the cars in the game react differently when driving. but there is a major downside to the game. it just lacks depth and once it's completed, you got nothing else to do except trying to unlock the odd one or two cars. and it also lacks tracks you drive around in. they all feel samey because there all outside and they don't look like they are in different locations.
overall, sega gt is a great game but litle things can make a big difference.
could this be a gt3 beater. i think not

I have a horribe past with racing games. At about six years old I just gave them up. But when my brother bought an X-box the first game we had was that demo disc with sega GT 2002 and Jet set Radio Future on it. Needless to say JSRF was fun for about five minutes but I never ended up playing sega GT. well about a year later I am bored with nothing to do and I dig out this relic of a game. Sega GT 2002. Immediatly I think it's gonna suck but I play it for a while anyway.
I was intertained for 26 hours of no sleep, non stop video game action from that game. (my priorities are in order) I rested and stayed up another 24 hours. It was unbelievable how much fun it was. screw football, here's MY new hobby!

I have been playing the game for awhile and i am on day 367. The game is pretty fun it is a lot like gran trismo fro PS2. I have fun playing it. My cars include: Lotus Exige,Ford GT Concept,Lotus Elise,Mercedes CLK,Camaro SS,Camaro Z28,Lancer Evolution III,Ford Mustang GT,Ford Mustang Muscle car,Lotus Esprit,Chevy Stingray Corvette, and maybe some more that i cant remember. Oh ya and i have an A license. This games graphics are amazing but the sound good use a bit more noise. The game can last forever if you like buying and suping up cars, which i do and find it very fun. The controls are simple and easy to get used to. It is worth every penny, I love this game and is a definent must have for Xbox.

i love this game it has nice cars a huge ammount for everything thats put into it all the cars the tracks the drag raceing ability on it the fact u can play a race and own it with the best car and then go to another race and have a huge battle and the reality of takeing the drivers test where u have to score its a all out game and im sick of these people talking about other games where you go around in a circle only turning left and haveing cars that look the same this game has brought something good to xbox and i love that and i love this game and tell you to go buy this game and play it to the end id tell ya what the best car but it would ruin it so find it out

this rules and it's mutch better than grand turismo on the ps2. But then ps2 is crap any way. Gamecube and x-box RULE.Nightfire is cool to! ps2 sucks ps2 sucks ps2 sucks ps2 sucks. Jet set radio future rules 2 I got this game for christmas and I thought this game is a millon times better then gt3 for ps2.I have beat this game in 19 hours.I smoked the first season with Super seven r500r.This game has better test run then any other racing game for any other system.This game is easy to beat.I had to help a friend beat some races with his Lotus.This game has only two hard parts geting cars and beating the second season witch I have beat with the Ford GT concept.

First off, the graphics rule, the attention to detail on the cars is incredible (at least I think so). GT3 sucks.
The sound is good to, I personally think the tunes are pretty catchy on the menus but some of the in-game ones arent very good, I don't compare car sounds cos thats a little sad but what I do here is cool.
And gameplay, I've benn playing 40+ hours and will keep playin till about 70 probably more but its so addictive, I like to collect the cars only prob is Jaguar with sad 'E' type :( GT3 sucks big time and I have played it so I know,
P.S. I completed it after 200 or so of the game days, don't be put down by SS license, keep tryin.

This game sucks. It has great potential, but doesn't deliver. Crappy engine sounds, not enough sliding, toggle switch-like button reaction... where do I stop!!!! Don't get me wrong, it's not the worst, but it's nothing when compared to GT3. (By the way, I have every platform so I'm not just biased towards PS2.)
Oh, and realism?? Don't get me started!!! There's a Stingray Vette with over 458 horsepower and it barely spins the tires during a race!! OH, that's realistic! I'd rather play golf.
With games like this, it's no wonder the XBOX is second fiddle. However, if your looking for the best XBOX game ever, one word... HALO.

I think the game was excellent. I like how you had to win some of the cars instead of just being able to buy every single car (Dodge Viper GTS-R). I loved the way they incorporated classics but some of the cars were too dang crappy and frustrating. The only thing I disliked about the game was the damage. The damage meter is cool, but games really need to start having better crashes and real time damage. Can't wait til Midnight Club 2 comes out for XBox. I beat the game a while ago, and now i'm just waiting for a better code for getting money so that some day I can get all the cars and fully modify them.

Overall the Sega GT 2002 is the most played disc in my library.
One reason for this is the insane SS license test. The many, possibly one hundred plus times, I have ran it, I have came within one second or less four times. I am convinced it is possible to beat, but it is maddeningly difficult! It does make it hard to put the controller down though. Some more exotic cars would be nice, some Lambos, Ferraris and maybe a MacLaren or something of the like. I still am trying to figure out Chronicle mode....that's why I don't play it much (no save??).
Overall the game rules, money well spent!!

Pros:
Pretty good graphics, enuff "modes" to keep u bizzy 4 awhile,the upgrades really make u feel like the owner of the whip(CAR), pretty nice cars(I especially like the concept cars),you could add things to ur garage, hang pictures of ur whips, and a custom soundtrack!
Cons:
The game really takes foreva,(i like to drive reckless so i take turns bad,that usually cost me tha game), too much loading between everything!, the constant replays, limited cars(compared to GT3) and limited levels(compared to all racing games)
Project Gotham Racing + Sega GT 2002= One fuc#in awesome game!!!

i think that the game is prety cool. I have a nissan z and im taren up the game is pretty cool dont get me wrong but the light reflections and the cars not showing the damage they are taking . c'mon now everyone likes damage . I gonna kill everything as soon as i get a ford concept with some nitrious . The game's difficulty should be a little harder but i guess its fine but if you have to hold gt3 and sega gt202 gt3 is alot better but hopefully sega comes out with a new make like sega gt 2003 that would be preety good you guys asked for a opinion so there you go thats my opinion

As far as the graphics go, the game smokes. But when it comes to the physics designed to simulate "racing" as it should be, they really over shot. For one, a car takes damage yes this is true, but your car turns to nothing but a lumbering station wagon within two races, making it almost impossible to really make this game what I would call fun. I have little time unfortunatly, and I have not found my addiction here. It all comes down to having more patience than should be neccesary for a game, which generaly instiles joy, not madness. Good thing I got this game for free, heheheeehe.

Now, consider this....the realism is GT2002 and the graphics from GT3...what a concept! This game great in regards to damage and other little eye candy additions, (i.e. props for you garage), but lacks the superior graphic quality of Gran Turismo 3 on PS2. If you can combine the two games to make one racing game, that would be probably one of the best racers to date, and, for that matter, in years to come. I give this game a rating of 7 just beacuse it lacks the originality that the Gran Turismo franchise capitalized on. It took the best of GT3 and just expanded on it for GT2002.

Sega GT 2002 is a game with a lot of potentional... The garage is the best of all racing games that i have tried, and by the way i am a master at all of them... Gran Turismo series is still the best racing games made to date, but there are some things about Sega GT 2002 that are better... My opinion is if you take Sega GT 2002's garage, and Lemans 24 pit stops, and some of the cars from these games (and some BMW M3's) and added them to Gran Turismo, THEN YOU WOULD HAVE THE ULTIMATE RACING GAME... The dificultly, and indept game play of Gran Turismo still has no match....

this is a good game. for a free game, it kicks my ass all over the place. gran turismo is a sony game, so if yah wanna say that turismo is better than play your freakin sony you morons. AND. if you dont like load time play morrowind or timesplitters, then youll have a reason to bitch. It is too easy, but nobody mentioned being able to play against other people with the cars from your garage. thats the best part of the game. if u have no friends, then i can see why u wouldnt like this game. the best thing you could, if you have no friends is play with yourself; literally.

This game is hott with sound and color and is grate when you can buy new and used parts and buy garage stuff and earn new parts and the race courses are intense and is hard it is the best game for lincene tests. The prizes are nice and make your garage look grate and its grate how you can look at your car and tighten up and soften up suppention and tire wear. It is grate how buy turbos for your motor and make it sound better and improve power. Best of all is one thing no other game has is nitrous that can only be used once on the game is also bad but fair.
