First off, the graphics rule, the attention to detail on the cars is incredible (at least I think so). GT3 sucks.
The sound is good to, I personally think the tunes are pretty catchy on the menus but some of the in-game ones arent very good, I don't compare car sounds cos thats a little sad but what I do here is cool.
And gameplay, I've benn playing 40+ hours and will keep playin till about 70 probably more but its so addictive, I like to collect the cars only prob is Jaguar with sad 'E' type :( GT3 sucks big time and I have played it so I know,
P.S. I completed it after 200 or so of the game days, don't be put down by SS license, keep tryin.

At first I thought that it's not possible to get the SS license, but after I tried for like 200 times, I started to zone out. I would feel like I'm actually in the car. The game is great, the graphics are amazing. The Viper sucks. Play on.

I beat the game in a week. I have like 20 cars all hooked up with the best parts. My favorite car in that game is the Nissan Skyline GTR V-Spec 2 (r34). I am still playing that game and I will continue until I get all of the cars. OHHH YEAH I got the level 4 turbo boosters, the level 4 weight reduction, and the level4 intercooler. I also got the $8,000 tires.

sega gt 2002 is awesome.It is the best racing game in the world.the graphics are great it blows gt3 and probably the upcoming gt4 out of the water.the sound is okay but i dont care cause i love that game so much.i like the two player alot cause u can drag against your bro or sister and if you dont like drag mode you can race on tracks,so far its a pretty long game ive got 4 cars so far but i love my vette.i had so much fun it was better than midnight club 2,it is one of the first xbox games and also by far the best,now u can buy the game for 15$ but i think it should be alot more like 50$ cause that is what its worth,but other than that its a real good deal.the only downfall is that it came out to early for there to be xbox live capability luckily there will soon be a sega gt online.my friend he has the game he said that it was the worst game in the world i disagree he said the only reason why was because it was to hard and he couldnt turn worth jack so i got the game he was wrong the game was easy to handle any ways i love this game i swear it is the best it is a must buy.

I got Sega GT 2002 as my first game but I didn't think it was interesting. I have 8 other games that were easy to beat and after that I got bored. So I turned on Sega GT 2002 and in a matter of days I was hooked. Thanks to the long gameplay I'm not bored anymore. I recomend this game to any XBOX users is it is my favorite. But although it has a long gameply, there is a downside. as you progress through the official races, the game gets tougher. Now some people may like games getting togher, but it was tough in the first place. they could also put some cheats in this game. But like I said, wicked awsome. The sounds are realistic, the cars are real, and there are so many cars to choose from. for me, this game will never get old.

i thaut it was going to be a bad game because i hate racing games but it ws like an adventure racing game now i have over 600,000 uin that game and every car all those adventure seekers out there this is the racing/adventure game for you!and the best part is is that you neverlose all of your money. and it isnt hard thats the cool thing about it g2g by!

I thought this game sucked at first but then I started playing it longer than 5 minutes. Drifting is a must in this game. Its what GT3 lacks. In GT3 you can barely turn but in Sega GT you can do some crazy drifts going at 60-70 mph with a RX-7. It has less options but who the hell cares. I go this game in the X-Box bundle so I just gained in the end.

This game is by far the best XBOX racer out there. This game has almost unlimited replay value. It's a great racer but can't come close to Gran Turismo 3. Granted SGT has better graphix and custom soundtracks it just does't have the number of options in the way of customizing that I would prefer like GT3. Its still a great game don't get me wrong but I would like more to do on my cars than just basic hp gaining bolt-ons, hopefully in the next one there will be wheels, brand name parts, and longer levels.

This game is awesome; however, there are a few changes I would make. Don't let the rest of this review throw you off: I love the game. That's why I'm being so hard on it. I want more, and I want better.
More cars! I was disappointed in the fact that there wasn't a single Porshe. I'm not talking about adding another 10 different versions of an existing car either. Come on guys! pick up a Motor Trend or Road & Track already.
More tracks! They've got a good idea going using parts of existing tracks and adding a few new turns, but to really make a legendary game they need to add some new tracks.
Also, more cheats would be cool too. Everybody likes hidden cars, cheats, etc. to discover and fiddle with.

this game is the best evr. i am a racing game lover and it was hard to find a game that was challenging yet adventursome. i love that u can buy parts to the car but it wuld b better if u wuld be able 2 ad details to the outside like a spoiler and a body kit. this game smokes project gotham. that game is the type u just want 2 throw out of the window cause u can only get the cars but not beef them up. the graphics in sgt rocks. i mean i just got a big screen and it feels like i am in the game. the only thing i dislike is cuz i cant get thet freaken viper. anybody who has an xbox and is looking 4 a car game, this is it. if anybody knows how 2 get the viper,email me. i just cant wait 4 the new one 2 come out. i presonally think that the 2002 lotus esprit is the best car that is easily available. customized, i got it 2 go a quarter of a mile in 10. 292 sec. it has 562 hp.
i cant tell u enouph about how much i love this game. i have been in almost 300 races. i g2g. talk 2 u later.

This game is awsome. However there is a couple things i would like to see if they were to add to this game. The first would be new tracks such as Laguna Seca, Daytona, Coute de Azure, and so on. I think that they should have also added more options for the engine upgrades, such as: bore and stroke increases, computer chips (were applicable), and more fine tuning of the suspension and the brake balance. The last thing I think they could have added were more options on the American and European car choose, such as the Ford Focus and eEscort, Chevy Cavalier, Porsche 911 and Gt1, Ferrari...any of them, Lamborghini Diablo Countasch and the Vt, McLaren F1, Toyota Gt1, Hemi Cuda, Saleen S7, and some trucks for more of an option in the car selection. The last thing they should have also added was more lifelike damage, such as when you rearend somebody that your downforce and stearing became affected. Howerver this game is still the greatest game to ever come out.

This game is amasing and anyone who says different is a complete idiot. fast cars and being able to play music off your Xbox on to the game is way too cool. I drive my yellow Z06 Corvette while listening to 50 cent's music, "In the Club" and "21 questions," and all of a sudden im in my zone. i dont lose and i win big freakin money.

Overall the Sega GT 2002 is the most played disc in my library.
One reason for this is the insane SS license test. The many, possibly one hundred plus times, I have ran it, I have came within one second or less four times. I am convinced it is possible to beat, but it is maddeningly difficult! It does make it hard to put the controller down though. Some more exotic cars would be nice, some Lambos, Ferraris and maybe a MacLaren or something of the like. I still am trying to figure out Chronicle mode....that's why I don't play it much (no save??).
Overall the game rules, money well spent!!

this game is the BEST racing game i have ever played bar none.i admit the ss license wasw a challenge but i got it in 3 tries.there could have been more cars and upgrades but then there would be no room for a second games so i think they did a perfect job on this game and thats whay i gave it a ten out of ten. the only thing that hurt the game was the fact that at the end after you have unlocked every upgrade you can, the other cars can still go faster thatn yours. but no matter, its all about the skills. need a game? this is the one!

I- like others- got an Xbox for Christmas. And like some, got Halo and Sega GT with it. I didn't like Halo very much at that point, so i started to play Sega GT. After a few weeks of playing, I had already got a Corvette Z06 with 760hp. It was pretty fun to drag in! But it cost a fortune to fix after a couple of races. So, in Official Race, when i got some cars for free, i sold them for over 50,000 because you can not buy them in the car shop. EASY MONEY!!!

guys u wanna know whats the best way to finish this game. then listen to u daddy here. find someone like ur brother, or cousin or even a friend who have an xbox and sega gt. Drag race with ur car and try to get the best time. Then tell him to break the record. Until he is not able to break it u can call ur self the king/champion of racing games. If he is able to break it he gets the championship from u.
Me and my friend do the same thing first he got hte time 10.546 and then i broke it. Right now i m on my 62 day and my best drag racging tiime is 7.25secs with this really awsome car. guess the car and try to break my record or ur friends.
TIp: when u start racing buy an evo and race and sell some cars so u have about $140,000 then buy a Z06 and upgrade it before u race. it is better if u can handle it manually. when u drive car manually u will learn some tips. If u r not able to find the tip u can go to cheatcodes and find my review and get the few tip.
good luck kick ur friends ass.

I have been playing the game for awhile and i am on day 367. The game is pretty fun it is a lot like gran trismo fro PS2. I have fun playing it. My cars include: Lotus Exige,Ford GT Concept,Lotus Elise,Mercedes CLK,Camaro SS,Camaro Z28,Lancer Evolution III,Ford Mustang GT,Ford Mustang Muscle car,Lotus Esprit,Chevy Stingray Corvette, and maybe some more that i cant remember. Oh ya and i have an A license. This games graphics are amazing but the sound good use a bit more noise. The game can last forever if you like buying and suping up cars, which i do and find it very fun. The controls are simple and easy to get used to. It is worth every penny, I love this game and is a definent must have for Xbox.

Other than that and the lack of damage to your car , great game. I love the large selection of cars , and the fact that you can load your self with money , pritty quickly. I when from black fiat Punto , tuned so much is burnt out the muffler within 10 races , to a fully pimpped lotus Exege , meaning the races are very differnt , each time you race , making the experiance better , each and every time your set foot into your car. I have tried and tested LOADS of rivel car games , and have never come across such a fun and edgy game as this , I will give anyone £100 , who can provide me with a game , better , than this. The story line and Garage setting , are a great plus in this game , a main noticable differnce from most car games. I have to say , I particualy like the option to buy thing to put in the garage! Tuning , building and re-working your car , just adds to the fun of this story lined game , I have spend many an hour on the game , racing in the classic cars , as well as in the supercar championship , and though this game is edging on outdated , its still the number 1 in my collection.

I know a lot about cars, yes these cars are FAIRLY realistic, no matter how hard a computer programmer will work and try to make everything perfect, it wont be! theyre given diagrams, models, tables and pages and pages of data and blueprints on the cars... they cant model EVERY lil thing to the letter..
i've ridden in a lotus elise that did a 9 second 1/4 ET and i didnt know until then (i was 16 then) that a car coul smoke rubber for half a track...
then the owner dropped me off at his brothers...
that day i rode in 3 chargers all pushin 9 seconds with no nitrous..
2 chevelles pushin 10.5--s in full street trim!
and one lovely black and silver 68 camaro (the upgraded suspension was nice in 68 over the 67)
that did a 9.75 with i believe he said a supercharged 572 big block on straight high octane.. there was nothing uncomfortable about the camaro, all street trim, a few gauges extra, fuel pressure, A/F ratio, a new tach etc..
i been tryin to work on getting my own car to do that too... i dont play favorites usually with cars, i have my favorites yes i do... Rx-7s, Camaros (1st gen), Chevelles (1st 2 gens), Novas, late 60s, Mustangs... and of course a few 'super cars' tho the RX-7 should be in that line up, the 94 topped at 185MPH with a original price tage in the mid to high 20Ks
IN ANY CASE... i love Sega GT2002 its fun, i just found a copy the other day, i been playing for 2 hours and already had the elise to about 160 on the track used for the first license test (not for the test of course... i wish tho) and i scored 16bucks off perfect... i love the slight annoyance of tires and parts, just like you would if it was in person..
you all put way too much focus on the LITTLE things that would drive you nuts...
