Mech Assault is the next to Halo on Xbox. The graphics on the buildings, Mechs, Tanks, and other structures are great. When the buildings collapse its a little rough but its O.K. The arsenal is a little limited and you can't customize your Mech like in the other Mech Warriors but they came up with some pretty good combinations. As for fighting in the game it can be very easy or very hard; depending on our approach and the Mech you are taking. And after a Mech is destroyed the explosion is great. The sound is great on everything from, the weapons being fired to the infantry being crushed and the buildings collapsing. In the game there are four levels of difficulty; from easy to impossible. The battles are very fun. Especially when you are out numbered 3 to 1. Your armor varies from the different Mechs because you can be a heavy, but slow, Mech with lots of firepower and armor, or be a light Mech and be very fast and usually have a cloaking device and jump jets. Just look at the Puma (which you get on the second level). It is pretty fun when you can sneak up on an enemy and kill him before he turns around. The game follows the usual track of Mech Warrior; you basically try to cripple the WOB or Word of Blake, but the missions vary from recon to destroying bases to infiltrating bases with stolen Mechs. So if you liked the old ones this should be to your liking. The multiplayer games are very fun. Even if you are alone you can play grinder which is pretty much survivor. I have got to try Xbox live yet though. Mostly because my Internet connection is so slow. All in all, it is a very good game.

I purchased a copy of mech assault because while at blockbuster a beta tester for xbox live recomended it. After I got it up and running on xbox live it was just spectacular. There is no way to describe it. I was on a team of four we were running past building rockets whizzing past our heads while yelling for help and trashtalking the other players. It is the coolest thing I have ever seen and all I have to say is "look out Playstation 2."

Mech Assault is one of this years best XBOX games. The Graphics are top notch. When you go to charge you PPC cannon the detail is awesome. The graphics are not the only things that is great about this game... The sound effects and soundtrack are great too. If you like rock and roll you will love it. The only down side that I have seen so far is a lack of controller set up. I would recommend this game to anyone who has or is going to buy an XBOX. This is one Awesome game!!!!!
