Legends 2 may not be smackdown!! SYM but it is a fun game non the less | | Ryan chase from Wisconsin, USA says (4/Dec/2002): | Legends of wrestling 2 builds on what the first one had and also ad's a lot more!!! first thing is the wrestler list up from last years 40 to 65!!! Every one from last years game is here with the exception of RVD, there is also a bunch of new comers like scott stiner, Rick Stiner, Roddy Piper, Andre the Giant. Own hart and tons more there are a few guys missing that I feel should be in this game such as Jack Roberts, Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, and a few others but for the most part it is a whos who of pro wrestling history. Another big improvement is in the graphics the wrestlers still have the cartoony look they had last game but the shadowing and deital has been beefed up. The gameplay has not changed much but why changed what worked? the addtion of a ladder, cage, and battle royal add a lot to this game although the ladder match could have been put together better on the other hand the cage match is the best I have played pireod no other game comes close!!!! Is this game smackdown SYM NO!!! But for anyone who remembers the glory days of pro wrestling this game will bring you back there to the days when it was about the wrestling and not about the TnA. All in all legends 2 is a solid wrestling game that should be picked up by anyone who was a fan back in the 70's and 80's back when men were men and sheep were scared!!
| decent Graphics, but major Gliches | | A gamer from Maryland, USA says (14/Jan/2003): | in my own personal opinion i believe that Legends of Wrestling 2 is a good game except for some major Gliches, for one example while playing career mode with Ricky "the dragon" Steamboat in the southeast region, it tells you that u are going to face the Rock 'n Roll Express for the tag titles, and if u beat them then u get a shot at the region title, but after beating the Rock 'n Roll Express you do not receive a title shot, and all it does is keep saying "if u beat the Rock 'n Roll express u get a title shot", but other than that i believe that it is a good game and i give it two thumbs up.
| Legends of Wrestling 2 may be bigger, but not better. | | way hobbs from Phila., P.A. , USA says (11/Mar/2003): | LOW 2 seemed, at first glance to have it all - cage matches, battle royals, and even ladder matches, but the sad truth is that ACCLAIM has done nothing more than rip off the WWE's SMD taunts and moves. It's a wonder that THQ hasn't sued ACCLAIM. The game features an array of names that can be utilized for every well known grappler that's ever been in the business, which makes for an impressive library of names. That is where the good things about this game ends. LOW #1 had an innocence and purity amist the THQ games that made it unique and fun - methodical in gameplay, but still fun. LOW 2 tries too much to look like WWE games with way too many copycatted WWE finishing moves that are obviously designed to win over WWE fans. LOW#1 reminded us that the moves we see in the WWE are not new, but other great stars of yester-year used them first. It was a great tribute to the gone, but not forgotten heroes gone by. LOW 2 had the chance to continue that legacy, but rather is a bad attempt to market borrowed WWE taunts, moves, and names. Well ACCLAIM, I already own SMD-SHUT YOUR MOUTH and it is a better tribute to former wrestlers and is a much better game period ! While some moves look cleaner, the lighting effects stink and what about the original LOW's X-BOX version's ripped entrance music, which was the first wrestling game to allow that? Even RAW 2 coming out in the fall can,t make that claim; that was forgotten in LOW 2. Back to the drawing board - Literally !

good then the other wrestling games. you have buy the game and find out why xbox legends 2 looks nice looking and fun to play. and all you need is good storey line like wwe in legends 3 this fall and one button control and it is sold
| Great Game, unlimited replayability | | Jon from Minneapolis, USA says (2/Jul/2003): | Great game. This game has givin me hours, days, weeks, moinths of fun wiht all of the new match types. I love the career mode wherer you have to earn a title shot. I do believe you should be able to have a match that lasts forever with no pins submission or TKo. And the lifespan is fine it's just it would be nice if it were a bit mnore real like if it dealt with energy, keep the heal;th but also have a enegy bar which determines the amount of damage you dela out, ( should be able to turn on or off).I love the graphics. another feature that would be cool would be if you chose andre and you were fighting a small guy he wouldn't be able to slam your and if someone trys to jump on you from the Tb should be able to catcht them in ,id ir and put them in a bear hug. I love the new wrestlers but this game is missing a lot of legends like the Macho man, Undertaker,Shawn Michaels, Jake Roberts, Mr.Perfect, Demolition the tag team, Ultimate Warrior, Brutus Beefcake. They should alkso include more and updated match types like handicap matches EX)3 on 1, 2 on 1 ect. Table matches. And able at least 4 wrestlers to compete in cage and ladder match kinda like hell in a cell for WWE. Create a legend lacked what it used to have in legends of wrstling 1, like the option to edit arm and leg and torso size and the first one had more hair types. LOW2 should also have more showboating before and after matches like after a face(liked) wrestler wins a match there should maybe be fire works and more crowd noise. And Low2 should have it wear if you set up a belt defense match the wrestler currently holding the belt should come out wearing the belt and if a wrestler wins the belt over or retains it there should be fireworks like after the main event match at wrestlemania. An the winner and loser should have more emotion. Like special winning and losing taunts/moves. They could also have a create your own ring with custom mat and logo and rope colors. The crowd could get a little more into the match. The battle royal should be a real battle royal with all 30 people in ring at once or at least 8 at once or have a wrestler enter the ring every 2 minutes.

The deatils are awsome and the list of wrestlers are amazing. The only reason i didn't give it 10 out of 10 is because the absence of my favourite wrestler the Ultimate Warrior.

The graphics are terrible all of the wrestelers are glossy and have no detail, when you hit them they dont bleed, sweat or show wear, the control scheme is terrible as well, getting these guys to move around is way too difficult, and the button combos are much too spastic and hard to pull off, the background where the audience is,is frankly pathetic its the same thing all around just inverted, backwards. The game is also too easy you can beat this game with no effort not knowing the moves if you just stay persistent, and not let up, "Rastling" games were never my fav but I gave this one a try and was very very disappointed, another thing that bothered me was the "Create a Legend" thing where you make your own player, all of the items to pick are generic or copied from a "real" wrestler, I attempted to create a character, but its too frustraing and the character body types are slim to none,as for the sound its decent but nothing great, people dont have the signature music when coming out and there is not flashy explosions, the way the characters walk out reminds me of a $15 match thats not televised with new wrestlers learning to perform, before they are TV worthy, and they do there little signature hand signals and crap, but its not fun to watch, In closing I would not recommend this game to anybody and is not worth the $6 rental fee from blockbuster, I was happy to return it and get the boring excuse for a game out of my xbox, they can keep it!!!
| a great game for clssical wrestling fans | | james mccummings from Nottingham,England says (6/Apr/2003): | Ive been a fan of wresling since i was 3yrs/1993 whatching wwe/f,wcw/nwa & ecw this game has all the great wrestlers of those companes inclueding Hollywood Hulk hogan Bret hart, Harley race Sabu & more but there is some legends not on the game like Ric flair, Undertaker, R.V.D, HBK but there is some new wrestlers that were not on the 1st game like Scott steiner, bruno samortino, Sid and more
| Cool new entrances and gameplay but lacks detail in wrestlers | | A gamer from New Zealand says (10/Apr/2003): | Okay lets see. I'm playing it for the first time right now and yeah its not too bad. I think the only problem with this game is the detail on the wrestlers. I mean common', Hulk Hogan isn't that big is he? It looks like hes on steroids or something just like the rest of them. I have to agree with some of the people that have commented about this game that it lacks other legends like The Undertaker and Shawn Micheals and definitely The Ultimate Warrior. Is Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake on this? I don't know because I haven't seen the rest of the wrestlers. I have always liked wrestling games because I love wrestling and LOW1 I reckon really sucked. That was a poor excuse for a wrestling game. I would've rather have played WWF In Your House that had the warrior on it then that game. LOW2, I can defintiely have fun with it because they have increased the speed of the game and I love the way wrestlers grab the ropes if they are in a submission hold because that has never been seen on wrestling games b4. Anyways, if there is going to ever be a LOW3, then maybe the makers should check out smackdown shut your mouth b4 they make it and get some ideas on how to make it a bigger game then it is because that game is by far the best wrestling game ever. Smackdown is the best and LOW2 along with all the other wrestling games are just trying to be better but I guess thats never going to happen. LOW2, I'm going to go play it now but take it from me, I wouldn't buy it.
