Ive played on sega master systems, sega mega drives, PC's, sega saturns, playstations 1 and 2 and xbox. By doing so i have played on hundreds of games and without a boubt splinter cell is the best game i have ever played on. The graphics are out of this world, and the only thing bad about it is when you have completed it you dont know what to do with yourself. If you havent played this game yet you have got to go out and get it. If you havent got an xbox get one, because this is one of those games that only comes along every so often.

One word to say, 9.6. That's .1 higher than the best-selling hit, Halo. Splinter Cell puts you in the game as agent Sam Fisher. Unlike Ghost Recon, this game provides secret agent style gameply as you work alone on your missions. Ghost Recon is more of a battlefield type of game. Splinter Cell outbreaks tremendous graphics and practically reborns the N64 hit Perfect Dark. Did I mention Heat Vision.

I got this game the first day it came out and its just the best game ever. its really challenging and the graphics kick hardcore ass. oh and all the little gadgets are great.

Splinter Cell wicked mofo game even tho it abit short but what the hey buy xbox live and d/l new lvl's which Aint 2 shabbie. The weapons are wicked the gadgets even better. Just shootin a guard with a shock dart makes ur life a little more Sane from waking up 2 a Ugly shebeast in ur bed the previous Morning. Splinter cell is not a run around killin game which makes it more intresting, hidin up on pipes w8tin 4 ur target 2 walk under u and drop down and punching his lights out, or popping a bullet in his skull and watch Him fall the all floor like a sack of crap. Splinter cell is the best game on the xbox so go out and buy it.

All in all, this may very well be the greatest game ever produced. Superb graphics and attention to detail. Words just dont do them justice. The sounds are just as good, from the score to the footfalls of a gaurd walking up a corridor to your hiding spot, the sound effects are what really pull you into the game and set the mood. Controlling all of Sam's various moves is a breeze. Its easy to sneak, climb and rappell your way through the levels. Yes, this game is difficult. You're not gonna blow though it in an afternoon (unlinke Halo, which I think I could toast with my eyes shut by now). But it's not a frustrating type of challenge. Every time you fail at something the first thing you wanna do is rethink your stradegy and get back to the game. I havent found any cheesiness yet. If you like the mindless, thumb numbing fragfests that have infested systems across the board, this game isn't for you. If you like a thinking, challenging game that will pull you into it's covert world, don't hesitate to pick this up. You wont be dissapointed.

Splinter Cell is the greatest game ever. It has so much u can do. Every1 says naah not as good as MGS2.. but I disagree.. Its in a league of its of own.. Beats the S*** out of Metal Gear Solid! ..Solid Snake is a wimp compared 2 Fisher. There has never been a game like it!The levels and graphics are suberb!!The gameplay is brilliant! U get totally taken in by it!. I did think it was a little short tho but other than that..its the best game ever!!

This game is the best!.People are saying about glitches..there aren't any!! the reason alarms go off when u haven't set any off is because u are not hiding bodies! so when u go thru a check point it raises the alarm difficulty cos u didnt hide the bodies!and people saying they have no ammo!!Christ! I always had loads, I used Stealth more than guns blazing..knocking the guards out instead of shooting the, or sniping.The game is a little short and A.J from Loomis, U catch up I completed it yrs ago lol.

This is a monster of a game, comes in a close second to halo. Game plot, and story line are well thought of and makes everything make sense. Great graphics, very realistic and flowing. Music is very good and helps you get involved into the game very nicely. I've seen other people's reviews and they keep complaining about alarms and running out of ammo, which i dont understand. First of all, the ammo, you are supposed to use stealth and suprise to kill, always make sure you go for head shots if you do have to shoot, remember, your gun is your last resort. Sometimes its the only way, but make sure you are always hidden when u shoot and do it from a distance preferably with the sniper vision and make sure it is a head shot, be patient, take your time, study your enemies patrol route and take them out when they are most vulnerable. You have other weapons u can use like diversion cameras, sticky shockers, airfoil rings, wall mines, fragment grenades etc. be creative. About the bodies, make sure when u take someone out to drag their body into the dark, then you should have no problem with the alarms. You might trigger the odd alarm but dont worry, if you have done everything correctly it will not interfear with your mission. It might be annoying sometimes but you have to do it, remember you are the best and only the best will do, you have to leave no traces, you are a ghost, no one should know you are there, go in do your business and get out. I was dissapointed with the ending though, but i guess it suits the game if there are going to be more missions to download. Also found the game a bit short, i was really getting into it and before i realised, i'd completed it. There were a few minor faults like not being able to shoot out all the lights, not being able to grab guards' weapons and a few other tiny things but all in all a GREAT game. Loved the light and dark concept.

I sold three games just to buy it and when I got it I never put it down. Two weeks and I'm on that Chinese level level number 8. If i don't complete it by the third week I am going to get annoyed.

I have never played a game were i was that much into it. Its like every step i took was one that i was actually taking.I feel that the makers of this game were on there sh*t when they made this game. For all those people that hate on this game, I dont know what u missed, but maybe you should play the game again and find whatever you missed, because the game is F*CKIN AWESOME.

This game is awesome. Like in the meat locker, when you knock a guy out, his body is still warm. Take out your gun and kill him while he is knocked out and wait and watch his body turn black after a while from the loss of heat. This game is almost as realistic as Metal Gear but shouldnt Sam start sneezing not being used to the meat locker temperatures as compared to metal gear when he starts sneezing from staying out in the rain too long? Other than that, the details and graphics in this game are spectacular!!!

For all of you nit wits out there who can't seem to figure out how this game is played, your stupid and impatient. This game requires persistence and alot of time. Splinter cell has the best graphics of any game out for PC or XBOX and is by far the most eloborate RPG made to date, so for those of you who are still stuck on the short, stupid game with a bad story line called HALO get a life. Halo came out what last year, how many fu#$%&* times can you play that game. I got bored of it after I beat it the twelfth time in the first week I owned it. Splinter cell has me going on 3 days straight and I still haven't beeten it, and after im done I can get more levels on line. Oh and by the way if glitches arise while playing the game it is probably because you forgot to hide a body, or maybe you don't take care of your XBOX. But anyway for those of you who enjoy truly good gaming experiences and a good story line Splinter Cell is by far and away the game for you.

there are so many bugs and glitches in it i cant stand it. i just got the game and i am on the ministry of defense. (the 2nd level) i had gotten near the end of the level before but i had no ammo so i restarted the level. i just got up to the part where you have to shimmy arross the pipe into the kitchen and i every time i get to the same spot it says i set off an alarm. ok i can handle that but what bugs me is that i had just done that part not 10 minutes ago and it never said alarm set off at that spot. so if ne 1 can help maybe i am just retarded or sumtin e mail me ill take any and all suggestions

I just beat the damn thing and I can say that the end looked like somebody was on a budget and needed to cut something out...like the friggin' ending. for as cool as this game was and for as much of my life I have sacrificed, i was pretty unimpressed.

This is the best game I have ever played for any game system in my life. The graphics and gameplay are incredible, along with the lighting and shadows. I became addicted to it. Everyone who is frustrated with alarms going off, you need to make sure all your bodies are hidden, in dark corners. I think the game is challenging as well. There are a few things that I would change about it, which includes adding a multiplayer, but the incredible single player makes up for it. I highly recommend this game, I give it a 9.8, and I can't wait for the sequel.

Well, for my fellow splinter cell gamers, the reason the alarms are goin off is because the bodies are not being hidden in that right place, COME ON, IF THE GAME IS REALISTIC, THINK REALISTIC!! You cant just hide the bodies in a corner, it's gotta be in the dark, no light at all! I came across this problem to find out it was just not the right place to hide the body!! Splinter Cell is probably the best game xbox or ps2 could ever come out with!! I hope upcoming games turn out like splinter cell did!! Props to the montreal team who put together such a classic!

OK, I already did a review for this game... I still think it is a great game & XBOX Did an excellent job on it, I mean "Ubi Soft" too. But people keep ragging on how many glitches & alarms, for all you people who dont have an ounce of patience or skill to play this game it takes time & paying attention to detail as we always say in the MArine Corps. Anyways my point is maybe some pipes and walls are just slightly to high to jump up onto & maybe your just stupid & cant remeber bodies you like behind in the beginning of the last check point, you have to pay attention to these things, & if you play hard rather then normal you can tell the difference between the gaurds & How many there are. The dogs are a killer too im sure some of u will give up soon... but overall i love the game & if you guys wanna rag on a game that is much better then Halo that game was a kids game i beat it in 2 days. Dont get me wrong i lover it but dont put down a game that so many people like, if you dont like it or are frustrated because you cant get passed certain parts cuz u aren't remembering unforgotten notes in the data sticks ur wrong. I'm almost done with it at the last level... see if u can catch up.

Yes the graphics are good and, la dee da, the hanging sheets move nicely, but I'm disappointed in this game. Someone indicated that the alarm went off because bodies weren't hidden. Well on that same level (the one after the chefs) I hid every d< remove me > at amn body and the alarms still went off. The only way to get through it was to carry all 5 bodies back into the meat locker. That took 10 minutes to do and it took me about 15 times to get through the level to find acceptable hiding places. Dumn, dumn, dumn.
I'm currently in the Chineese Embassy, got the info I needed and can't find a way out. What sucks is that there are short walls that on other levels he'd easily jump over - but not on this level.
The spinning round 360 degrees criicism is right on. Happens to me all the time. It's the inconsistencies that are the worst. On one level you can climb a pipe and in others you can't climb an identical pipe.
Alarms go off and if you run away 50 feet and wate, 2 minutes later everyone pretends they wasn't just an intruder and they weren't just shooting at you. Again, dumn, dumn, dumn. I preferred Max Paine much more than this one.
The graphics are great no doubt. But that's not enough to keep me coming back. And, by the way, Halo RULES! This game doesn't rate a score anywhere close to Halo
Lazarus.
