i think this game is great the features and graohics are outstanding 10 levels of my heart pounding the whole way through it shoul have more features though like a little more action i thought the game was very tense and i couldnt stop shaking
i gave it 10 stars because this game was brilliant and makes me want no 2 to come out

Big brother ruins this game. Every time you move this guy tells you "the mission is over". This game is so slow paced I dozed off the other day playing it. Where is the action and shoot-em up fun of a real video game. This game has nothing on such fun titles as grand theft auto. When I find the time to play a game in my free time I don't want it to feel like work, and this game feels like work. There isn't enough fun factors to make all the super-slow sneeky (boring) activities worth my time. I owned the game for two weeks and sold it for $5.00. This game is a piece of trash.

it is an awesome game.i am stuck on the cia headquarters level. it is really hard. you have no gun on that level. the graphics are really good. the only flaws were,if you shoot someone in the head he wont die,you have to hit them in a certain part of the head.also it takes two punches to knock someone out,it takes like 5 shots in the body to kill them.you dont get much ammo but it is a stealth game not run out and shoot like a maniac type of game. it is a hard but fun game. my father likes it to but he doesnt play it much.i used codes but it takes the fun away. i like the earlier levels better.my friend has it on another system and he really likes it to.the people that designed the game did an excellent job on the graphics.i play it on a 60 inch tv and it looks all lifesize.i hope more games will be made like this!

Oh this has extremely good grahics surpaes most games. ONly thing that is not so hot about is that it doesn't have multi player and it's kinda short. The weapons our ossum ans fun to youse. If you are impatient this game isn't for you because you do a lot of waiting in the game. Me im a mix of Sniper Wolf and psycomantis from metal gear soid very patient but sneaky. That is the key to this game SC other than that this game is perfect for patient people. You must do everthing perfect one mistake can trigger a alarm or catch a guards attention. This is what made the game fun this is so far the best game I have ever played besides Vice City. I hope they make a sequel. Once you are done with the game you can load alevel and just mess around that is wear the fun comes in cap everbody up. Sticky cam um or something that is the best part of the game. I usally just through a dead body in front of a gaurd and run and interrogiate them this is what make the game fun I give it a full ten. The sound is also great they sound like the real thing what sounds the best is the silenced pistol and the gunshots and they talk very well and understandable. Life span is also great you have enough realistically Fun factor is a full of everthing best ive played in a loooooooooooong time great game.

When I played this game for the first time I was blown away! The graphics are some of the best to ever grace a system and the game has one of he coolest video game characters ever: Sam Fischer. The music for the game really sets the mood too. I'm glad that they make you use your gun as a last resort by not giving you enough ammo to just shoot everybody you come across. The shadows in the game are amazing; sometimes you'll just sit there and stare at the shadowing effects (no seriously, you will!) This game is so realistic that after playing it you will look at a building and say "I could climb that" it's just that realistic. My only complaints are the lack of hand-to-hand moves and the trail and error approach that you must take to the game. You will probably die many times the first time you go through a level but thankfully three are many save points in each level. All in all, this is a must buy for anyone who loved the Metal Gear and Tenchu games.

Wow. I mean WOW. This game is really nice, and I'm only on the Fifth Level. CIA Headquarters is a long and very tight level. The others were kinda easy, but it still was awesome!!! The objectives are also really cool tt. Like having to carry the CIA guy around. Also, the gadgets and SC-20K is cool along with the secondary rounds.

STEALTH is fun. This game is to easy. I have already beaten the ps2 game and it has got extra levels. Beat it in less than a weak I hardly played for three hours. If it posed a challenge it would be intresting. Good for any person who sucks at stealth shooters. Any hardcore or even people who own Metal Gear Solid 1 or 2 will think this sucks.

I love this game it is great, the graphics are awsome the game play is cool and it is all fun , but u should be able to grab people other ways instead of just coming behind them that is the only flaw otherwise it is one of the best games ever made!

Okay, people really need to stop complaining about the "lack of ammo". By the time I got to the last level of the game (where most of the shooting is necessary) I still had more than 35 rounds for each gun. This leads me to believe that many of you have been playing Quake/Doom/etc. for far too long.
[1] You don't have to kill everyone. In fact, you can probably sneak by at least 35% of the guards in the game. [2] A well-placed frag grenade or gas from a distraction camera can take care 3 or 4 guards in a single instance. [3] Airfoil rings can be used on difficult guards to stun them; then tuck your rifle away, run up and cold-$#< remove me > at ! 'em in the face with an elbow. [4] Wall mines can be set to take care of guards with long patrol routes. [5] Sticky shockers will drop any guard in 1 shot. [6] Bottles and cans can be thrown to distract guards away from their posts/routes.
I mean geez... that seems like a lot of viable options to ammunition. If you run out of ammo in this game, you probably shouldn't even be playing it to begin with. Looking at Sam, he's got quite a bit of gear already. Weighing him down with half a dozen 5.56mm clips would just be adding to much bulk and too much weight -- considering he is an elite professional that only relies on small arms as a last means of objectivity. Go back to Quake if you can't handle it, or some other game that lets you run around with 18 different weapons and jump with a 30-foot vertical.
Anyways, I really liked this game although it seemed a bit short overall and linear in some places. If there is a sequel I'd like to see *HUGE* levels and some more special movements like rappelling (hardly used in SC), crawling, swimming and maybe some more interaction with the environment.
Other than that, I give Splinter Cell a '10' out of sheer enjoyment.

DONT!!!Waste your money and time byeing those game.SplinterCell blose those two out of the water.-Lets see,the best features of the game is the awsome stealth.You canforce your enemies to cooperate to use the EYE scanner.The awsome moves like the'split jump are real stealthy.I THANK THE MAKERS OF THE GAME--UBISOFT.I hope they can make another cool sequel"Splintercell 2.

Besides from being basically a spin-off of "Metal Gear + Syphon Filter" (played both of them, thumbs down) the game is a pioneer in its own rights, because of the unique storyline and killer graphics. The only downfall to me is the game lacked the dept in
storyline and the plot seemed to be a tad choppy and skipped over key points like, why did Nikoladze truly conspire with the Chinese Govt. and what was his eventual goal, and with the insert/extraction how did they get a Western Bloc. helo into Burma, and also the Splinter Cell consept is rather imaginative in inserting a one man cell member into a country and reekingso much havoc (can anyone say RAMBO!!!).

Man, I traded my PS2 for my new Xbox for the sole purpose of playing Splinter Cell. Since I saw the previews for the game, I was captivated by it's surrealism. And I love games where you can go under the cover of darkness and kill silently. The graphics in this game is unbelievable. I especially love using my night vision goggles no matter how dark it is 'cuz I like the way the screen looks. The gameplay is awesome; the only thing bugging me is not enough ammo--though I do shoot for the head (I get a kick out of the lucky, at a distant, with night vision goggles on, one-shot to the head kills --DAMN), sometimes I get carried away cuz I am trigger happy. I love the enviornments, the levels, the camera angles....it's awesome baby...the only thing I would suggest is a prequel. Give us a taste of what the main character did and what he has endured up to Splinter Cell.

No other game puts so much emphasis on stealth not many other games can you hide in the dark either. This game is extremely realistic and the creators of this game didn't fool around if anyone was ever a fan of Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, or Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of liberty + Substance or any Stealth/Action/Strategy games this game is for you. It is a great game and it will bring hours on end of fun.

Best game ever for playstation, game cube and x- box. really like the game good graphics, good background music. The producers did a very good job. I hope they are going to make another Splinter cell, because I'm almost at the end. I have it now for about 1 week and it's very adictive game. Sometimes my hart also stops during te game i think. It' s the first time that i bouht such a game and i realy like it

i heard all of the great reviews for this game, but it is way too slow for me. i can't stand just waiting and watching, and being stealthy. I guess halo has ruined me from the patience i once had. i do like some of the features, and the grapfics are pretty good, but i got so bored that i had to stop playing.

I think that Splinter Cell is a really good game because you can acturally do things that you can't do in other games, like stay up in wall by your thighs is such a good part for the game. The graphics are really good aswell, espically for the lighting effects where you can see the rays. The lifespan of the game is pretty good but I think that there should be more levels insead of nine.The weapons on the game are exellent and are really good for things like destracting guards so you can sneak up on them, and kill them.

When I bought Splinter Cell I thought it was flawless. Playing it proved me wrong. Some things I didn't like. Bad things are:
.it is too short..when you put a body down the head sometimes goes through doors and walls.. not all lights can be broken..the multi-purpose lancher doesn't fire explosive grenades..he is utterly rubbish at close-combat..vehicles look scrappy and you can't break into them.the rifle is only single shot..the guards can't see you if you in shadow and you're right in front of them..you can only pick up items,ammo and Cokecans and bottles..he can't swim..only the game intro and the cut scenes between missions are good..he can't pick up enemy weapons or uniforms..on the power plant mission the level of snow does not increase..no non-campaign missions or multiplayer.
.there are only two guns you can use.Apart from that it's a good game.

This game is the best game I have evered played (besides Final Fantasy 7) This game is really really good. It has good graphis it has a good story. Better than Metal Gear Solids one for the Xbox. The game towers over the compitition and is really really really good, fun and good (again).
