Just when I was about to pitch my xbox out the window. Here comes the most stunning game I've ever seen. If someone’s looking to see what the xbox system can do this is your game. Unlike the typical James Bond games where u run into a room and blast everything in site (not like there’s nothing wrong with a game like that it just gets kind of old after a while) Splinter Cell is about stealth. Not only does it look good, but it acts like in real life too. You shoot a stunner in water with a group of guards standing in it they all fall to their knees. I don't know how many of you heard of the game traitors gate, but it's very close to it. This is one of those games that u must think before u act. As for them making a sequel after they see how much people love this game (this forum for example) I'm 100% sure they'll make a sequel.

it is an awesome game.i am stuck on the cia headquarters level. it is really hard. you have no gun on that level. the graphics are really good. the only flaws were,if you shoot someone in the head he wont die,you have to hit them in a certain part of the head.also it takes two punches to knock someone out,it takes like 5 shots in the body to kill them.you dont get much ammo but it is a stealth game not run out and shoot like a maniac type of game. it is a hard but fun game. my father likes it to but he doesnt play it much.i used codes but it takes the fun away. i like the earlier levels better.my friend has it on another system and he really likes it to.the people that designed the game did an excellent job on the graphics.i play it on a 60 inch tv and it looks all lifesize.i hope more games will be made like this!

The features are stunning. Whereas most games would automatically do things for you (pick locks, enter access codes, etc.) this one allows you to do it yourself, further enhancing the gameplayer experience and getting the gamer more involved. Only problem I have is I can't seem to keep bullets as long as I need them. I rented it, not sure if I'll buy it yet. I've already got mad at the game (for not giving enough bullets) and yelled obsceneties at it, although that won't stop me from playing it. I don't like the whole "stealth" idea; I like shooting everyone and everything, which is probably why I keep running out of bullets. Anyway, Halo, Max Payne, Metal Gear Solid... Splinter Cell is on a whole different level, therefore can't even be compared to other games. This is Xbox at it's best!

This game was the best EVER created. It was the reason i finally bought an XBox, as i was one of the 'ps2 rules' idiots out-there. Sam beats Snake hands down, the story was superb, graphics were even better and the realism and in depth detail of the game were beyond any other consoles dreams, this even beats the P.C. graphics. The gameplay was excellent and i had to sit by my TV and finish the game as soon as i started playing it....it was like an addiction.. My life is incomplete until another Tom Clancy game is released, or even better Splinter Cell 2. There was only one disadvantage with the game and that is the lack of 'add on' mission packs that can be purchased- com on microsoft- twist ubi softs arm and get them to release sum...until then hope u release sum great titles like this....

- I've had people walk very close to me and not see me. Maybe you should look at your light meter and make sure it is actually dark. Or crouch, or put your back to the wall
"why is it that when sam walks on something narrow, his feet don't touch it?"
- For gods sake what do you want?
"why doesn't sam walk down the stairs instead of gliding down them w/o his feet touching?"
- If you take your time you don't slide down
"why is the aiming reticule so HUGE?"
- if you use the scope you can pop people off at long range, or maybe thats too hard for you!
Basically, I think you are trying to hard to find problems. Just try to get into the game, you might find it's actually enjoyable.

Splinter Cell is "the" game to get this christmas. This game contains one of the best graphics I've seen so far, and trust me I play a lot of videogames myself (I own the GC, PS2, XBox, PC,GBA, and the Sega Dreamcast). If you own a Xbox don't hesitate to get this game as is combines the best shadows and lights so real that you think is very unreal. This game truly maximizes the XBox powerful engine. And if you are a lucky gamer ( like mysefl ) you can play this game in Dolby Surround 5.1 you'll hear amazing effects and you will clearly think and hear the foosteps on your right or left speakers. A truly hardcore gamer has to get this amazing title to expirence on their own. I guarantee that you have never played a game like this before. GO GET IT !!!!! NOW!!!!!!

Hi I live in Germany on what follows that I'm German. Splinter Cell Isnt really popular over here, cause the X-BOX is really expensive in comparisson to the USA. I only know like 3 people with an X-BOX over here. Ive beaten the game once already and i've finished the Chinese Embassy stage on hard now. Well to the point: Splinter Cell is the best game ever cause there are so many different ways to beat it, you can keep tottaly quiet and invisible and beat the game by killing only the people you have to (Kombayn Nokoladze, Grinko e.t.c, or you can kill everyone who crosses your path (Gets a lil' hard at CIA). Its amazingly versitile eventhough its a level-based game. I cant wait till X-BOX LIFE comes out. Shout Outs to all Splinter-Cell-Players out in the world.

I got this game about a week ago and ever since ive played it as much as possible above Halo(and im a HALO FREAK!). The game scored a 9.6 with OXM, which is the highest score they have given out so far (and thats above Halo). The graphics are enough alone to go out and buy the game, and I mean it when I say that this game sets the bar for others to fallow. I, myself am about 2/3 of the way done with the game but about the time I beat it Xbox Live™ will have more levels out to download. With the people who are saying "I wish I could shoot more..." go buy a PS2(LOL at all u PS2 fanboys out there). And the reason it doesnt come out for Playstation 2 is really simple i just cant handle it... and the makers of the game basicly said that PS2 is a huge load of S***.

I loved the game and wish I could give it a ten. The graphics and gameplay are stunning, but I can't concider a game without muili player perfect. I don't see it as a feature the game needs because it would not suit the game, but that is the only thing that they don't have. And the game shines, and the graphics, again, are amazing. Best graphics hands down. All I got to say is they better make a sequal, because this is a truly unique and awsome game. I would not think twice before buying the sequal. And for the guy who gave this a 1, what is wrong with you. If it wasn't challenging it would suck. For the sequal the only recomendation is more levels. Mabey muiltiple campaigns, and possibly a few more varietys of wepons. But over all, keep up the good work.

The game is superb. I mean. shadow effects, smoke effects, the way the enemy can interact, and the music - fantastic. I recommend that if you've never played this game, that you get your consol plugged into a Surround Sound system and wack up the bass. Turn of the lights, get some food 'cos this is gonna be a long, addictive ride. Hell, it was Splinter Cell which made me go and buy an Xbox. Why ever buddha from Melborne gave such a poor review is hard to understand. As far as a messy "shot 'em up" is concerned this is definatly not it. Unlike many games from the past, this one relies on Stelth. In fact, some levels restrict the use of guns - kill any of the enemy and you're out. Give it a go. The game really is awesome. Come on No.II and well done UBI!

I never reviewed a game before coz im too lazy and cant be bothered BUT this one deserves it!!! Firstly before i got tha game i was already looking up reviews and all about this game b4 i purchase it But when i finnaly got it it blew me away straight away. I reckon this is the best game on the xbox rite now or at tha moment,the graphics are superb like i never seen before, the gamplay kicks it hehehe im up to the chinese embassy stage just killed grinko LOL! tha sound is sooo realistic its like a daym movie and my girlfriend likes me playing while she watches coz she said it looks sooo daym real! anywayz definitely da $$ i spent on this game is worth it. And i hope they make a sequel becoz think about it will be 3 or 4 times better than the original!

I have just got the game, i think that the graphics are extreamly realistic, along with the sound. i like the game because its an original shooter the story line creates a great game play ,the story line is realistic in the fact of terror its great if you want a challenge. i havent ever seen a game like this befor seeing as its uniqe you do find lots of things that catch your eye .the message item is good because you can hear what you have to do. the thing is you need to like a chalenge. the aids that are the most helpffull are the light detector witch says if your in the light and you can shoot out the lights to help being spotted .there are also a few good wepons if you havent any wepons then you can sneak up on people and knock them out.

Splinter Cell is just as good as Halo not any worse or better. The style is way different, its based around stealth. Dont judge this by other Tom Clancy games because they are nothing alike. The graphics are the best yet on XBox. The difficulty can be frustrating sometimes becuase there is not enough checkpoints in levels. It is the most original game I have ever played. Nothing like Metal Gear Solid 2. The gadets are vary unique. The storyline is very good, but it can cunfusing sometimes Its to short though, I beet it in 5 days there are only 9 levels!!! The sound sounds real with 5.1 sorround sound. You going to be able to download 4 additional levels through XBox Live soon !! Crap I have to wait for Splinter 2, Ohhhhhhhh the waiting.

I was in a game store in Sacramento looking for Metal Gear 2 for the XBox. I saw some promos for Splinter Cell while looking around. I found Metal Gear 2 and went to go pay for it when the cashier told me that Metal Gear had problems with its graphics, he then told me if I wanted a game like MG2 then I should get SC.
I told him I would and put MG2 back on the shelf, and then asked him if I could get SC now. But to my surprise it wasnt out yet. I waited 5 days then went back to purchase SC. Ever since i bought this game I havent put it down.
The controls are a bit new but I'm catching on quickly. Im at the Oil Rig and keep falling in the water, LOL. But the graphics are like those in the movies. I gave this game a 10 star rating.

Splinter cell is one of the best games i've ever played on the xbox and really does deserves to be right up there with Halo in the rating chats. It is a true stealth game which is much better than metal gear solid 2 and it should forever remain as one of the best games ever made. I have been playing Splinter Cell for over four days now and it's just sooo good. I have found that this game is making me lose hours of sleep because i just can't stop playing. The graphics are prefect and i love the way the lighting and shadow effects work. Xbox really pulled out all the stop with this game. So overall Splinter Cell really is a great game and truely deserves that 10 out of 10 rating. I just can't wait for Splinter Cell 2 hopefully.

This is by far the best game I have ever played! The graphics, sound. controls... every aspect is virtually perfect! I just played it for about 30 minutes and I was hooked! I couldn't put down the controller. One of the things I was really impressed with was the shadows. They looked smooth, realistic, and finally a game where the shadow actually moves with the character! I was also very impressed with the lighting schemes. It is one of the finer points of an already fascinating game. This game obviously took alot of time and work, so I think that Microsoft should get right to work on a Splinter Cell 2! This game is way ahead of its time and if what I have experienced by playing this game, it will become an instant classic.

Splinter Cell may be one of the best games ever. It easily has THE BEST graphics ever in a video game. The story is also great. It's one of those great, one man vs. an army kinda game. It's not only beautiful to watch, but also to play. The controls are hard at first, but after a few minutes you'll have them mastered. Sneaking around, literally dissapearing in the dark, knocking enemys out, gunfights, espionage, this games got it all! The suspense of almost getting caught, or sneaking around, or the awesome, AWESOME gun fights. It's just sheer greatness. The best a game could get. This will keep you on the edge of your sit. Better take some time off, this one will take you a while to finish! This game is off the HOOK!

i let a friend of mine take the sticks for a minute while playing splinter cell. i figured he could play with the camera angles because we were at a part where the girl with the van was talking to sam. well, to my surprise, i see sam take a thunderous left hook to the chick and left her shiverin' like a kitten left out in the rain! i yelled, sweet fancy moses man, what did ya doo!?!? he goes "i dunno!!!"
well turns out, he hit the right trigger while close to her. so if you have difficulty gettin jusssst close enough to a guard before hittin' the A button, try pressin' the trigger instead. you'll have to hit guards twice and regular janitorial fellas once. the end. email me if you have any problemos.

Splinter Cell is by far the most kick ass game I have ever played. It gives you the feeling of being a real agent. When you turn your XBOX on and start playing your game you feel like you're in it. I mean you forget about it being a game and you are so absorbed by it. The graphics are great. Let's get realistic, everything about this game is kick ass. Yeah, it might seem like it takes forever to get through the levels or the whole game, but that's what you get when you're playing as a stealthy Navy Seal looking charachter. You have to watch out and be careful of where you step. Sure it might not have bullet time but it more than makes up for it. I gave this game a big ten out of ten.

I must say, when i first heard of this game, i was preety sure it wasnt among the ranks of MGS2.But after playin even the practice mode, its obvious, MGS2 has work 2 do on the next title. Bsaicly, it has compition. The visual efects are so tite. How the light, blends in 2 the shades. I heard as some one on here said it really makes you think, is very very true, as i also agreed that idiots who dont wanna use da brain, would porbably not bye it
Who wants a game that takes nothing 2 think about.This game actually pulls u in the game. All i have 2 say is, its either SAM FISHER, or me, SOLID SNAKE.And if your not 2 have either of these games in your position, we need 2 come and take u out.
