This game is the best stealth game I have ever played, and crying about the targeting system is dumb. Nobody is a dead perfect shot all the time, actually I thought it was pretty easy. Either Im just that good or you guys just suck that bad. The game is about stealth, not just run in a room and blow everthing away, and once you get into the later levels of the game you have plenty of gadgets and ammo to play with, I am at the end of the game and have not ran out of ammo yet in a mission, its about STEALTH!!!, you gotta sneak up more on people in the earlier missions of the game, not just shoot everyone.

while not the perfect game, its stearing pretty damn close. The graphical detail is stunning and fascinating to look at.I love the realism of barely having any bullets. My biggest gripe would have to be the strange combat, some guys take 3 hits, some take 1, some take to bullets to the head, some take one (itsa bit unbalenced) but if yu manage to get past this minor quible you will enjoy this taut slow paced thriller.
9/10. one of my fave xbox games.

This game is fantastic-- the only game to rival Halo on Xbox. The fine details-- lighting, sounds, curtains that swirl around your body-- are completely immersive. The night vision and infrared are done better than I've ever seen. As for the complaint that you don't have enough ammo... that's the POINT, you boneheads!! How many more FPS's do we need???? This is NOT a typical shooter-- it's a chance to actually use your brain in a game (don't hurt yourselves, now...) instead of just your reflexes.
I will agree with two complaints-- the one thing that really bugged me was the distance between save points sometimes. On the one hand, it did force me to rethink certain situations, but what really killed me was that the scripted dialogue had to be repeated each time you redid the scene. (FWD COMM helps in conversations, but definitely not in all scenes.)
The other thing was that he sort of floats above stairs when descending. But, god, what a trivial complaint in such a phenomenal game.
As for the controls, I thought they were brilliant-- the camera in particular was virtually perfect.

Splinter must be one of the best games ever made,I think it is so much better than Metal Gear Solid. You can't hide bodies in cuboards but the gadgets make up for that the sticky camara is one the best gadgets ever I'm supprised James Bond hasnt got them.I didn't think i would like this game because it is stealth but then i played it at my mates, and i had to buy it. So i think Splinter Cell is one of the best games ever made. I if you buy this game you will have hours, days and even months of fun if it. My mate has compleated it 3 times and hes trying for a 4.

this is the best game in the history of xbox. The graphics, the lighting, the weapons. I thought the weapons were very realistic and not something out of James Bond. i love how it is sort of a puzzle game and you have to watch the movements of the guards and time every thing. I do wish that 2 things could be different. 1. I think you should be able to kick the enemies. 2. you should be able to swich the hand you are shooting with. Some times you look around a corner and you have to expose your entire body and you end up getting shot. And also, having little ammo is very realistic, try caring 600 bullets around with out making a noise. Thats all i have to say.

This is truly a great game. The liting afects are so real! the limet of bullets are exelent for strateges. Imagen seing two guards in a kitchen. Turning the lights of in the fezer and then throwing a bottle in it and distracting the gaurds. Then whill there looking for the cause of the noice in the frezer turning off the lights in the entire kitchen and putting your night vision on while knocking them out while they can't see. Splinter cell forces you to think. Like shooting out a light so a camra in a long hallway can't see you. This game rocks!!

This game was awesome. It totally blew store sales. I thought it would never be better than Halo, but I was wrong. This game was worth every penny I spent on it. Other Tom Clancy games are cool too. Ghost Recon was good, but Splinter Cell was better all around except sound. Splinter Cell's gameplay was the best of all. The dark shadows and corners were great. The only dissapointment was the interact button. Sometimes, I was really far with no save point and I got caught and had restart because of death. The sneaking was awesome. You can hide in shadows about an inch away from a guard and not be seen. The fun factor for this game in my opinion was a 9.9 and 3/4. The only thing was sound, which was still good, and the stupid armored cameras. You can't break them, even with a shot in the glass framing. But anyway, if you don't like this game, you are probably dead or in a coma. I don't know anyone who dislikes this game. You are crazy if you hate it. I recomend this game to everyone. It is the best game for Xbox out there. Xbox Rules, Baby! And what's this about a Splinter Cell 2? Hmm...

If you havent bought this game yet go and get it. It's worth every cent. The lighting is so awesome. This game is the only thing that even comes close to Halo. Infact it surpasses it. You can't find a better game than this. If you don't have a computer or an X-box, this is one reason to get one. The sound could be a little better but after a while you get used to it. This game is just to fun not to play.

I have always been a fan of the stealth games like metal gear solid.Splinter cell is such a good game but there are some bad bits about it like how you can't hide yourself or enimies in lockers or being able to crawl. Splinter cell is one of the best games I have ever played on, I have never had a game with such detailed graphics. I think that splinter cell has got amzing graphics like the best on the game the lighting and shadows. The lighting and shadows are really good because you will have to stay in the shadows and out of the light if you don't want the enemy to see your shadow. The lighting is so good because the way if a light goes through a fence or the guards with a torch. The graphics on the the oil rig level are lush because the sea is so detailed. The detail on the people is the best I have ever seen on a game like the way they run for cover , hide behind boxes and the detail on their faces are unbelievable. The sound on splinter cell is amazing because ever thing sounds so good like the fire, running in water , how you have to creep over broken glass and if you are on a wooden floor it would creek. The life span of the game is quite good because it ha s 10 big levels, there are some frustrating bits though and you can do so much stuff on each level. You can do the levels two ways, the first is to do the level with stealth and the second is just go in an shoot everybody, I think stealth is better. The game is vrey fun because of all the gadgets you get and being able to raple on walls, holding people hostage and picking up bottles and knocking out guards. Splinter cells originality is good because you use weopons that already exist. Splinter cell is good value and who ever has an xbox but doesn't have this game, get it !!

This is by far the best game I have ever played! The graphics, sound. controls... every aspect is virtually perfect! I just played it for about 30 minutes and I was hooked! I couldn't put down the controller. One of the things I was really impressed with was the shadows. They looked smooth, realistic, and finally a game where the shadow actually moves with the character! I was also very impressed with the lighting schemes. It is one of the finer points of an already fascinating game. This game obviously took alot of time and work, so I think that Microsoft should get right to work on a Splinter Cell 2! This game is way ahead of its time and if what I have experienced by playing this game, it will become an instant classic.

Man, this game just rocks! I showed it to some people who didn't believe in XBOX (one of em' bought a PS2 2 months ago, and now regrets it)and they now own or will own one! 3 of my friends came over, made popcorn and watched me playing!(seeing it for the first time) Hard to believe watching someone playing a video game would be entertaining (of course, I had them try it out too.) This is by far the best game ever. Yeah sure, a few details were off i.e: people don't see you even thought you got 3 glowing lights on your forehead & sometimes, when you put bodies down, theirs heads go through the wall. But whatever, the graphics are so good and the game is so "well-thought-out" that it makes up for it. Oh yeah, for those who think that "there's not enough bullets" then I guess you should clarify the word "stealth" and practice a little more. I hope Microsoft and Clancy are going to make a sequel for it.

I can't decide what game to buy next since nothing will compare. After playing Ghost Recon I vowed never to buy a game with Tom Clancy's name on it but I was proven wrong. This game is the best thing out there and should be rated that way. I completely quit playing Jedi Outcast when I opened this game...Highly recommended

I cant beleive my eyes. This game is AMAZING. all the light in is perfect, sound, non painted on clothes, It's perfect. The moves are a whole new story in itself. I dont even want to start. And for that kid that gave it an 8 out of 10 I feel bad because your probably a beginner gamer and can't appreciate such great games. But the thing that gets me is that people keep saying that it's better than Halo.....I dont know.....Let's all try to remeber how great of a game Halo is. I think they're the same. Equal. 10 out of 10 for each. Im speecless on the greatness of each game. And if you say Halo didn't have a good storyline it's because you didn't understand it. Go to your nearest bookstore and buy a book called Halo: The Fall of Reach. It's the PREQUAL to the game. PREQUAL!!! It's like master cheif as a kid and stuff growing up. Way cool. It's all wonderful. Peace out.

I bragged to people about how good of a game this is, so I guess I liked it. But I feel like I was a cow being herded along down alley's and hallway's, and occasionally popping in a room or two. Make this game like Hitman 2 ( which is is good bet that it will for Splinter Cell 2) and then you're talking.

This game is truly amazing. They really had to work hard to find out the insight on missions like it because it is pretty close to it..I seen these other things about halo and this game saying it was better.. You got to think about it Halo is a diffrent type of game then this. (with a very good story line I might add listen to the missions replay it if you belive its story line was bad..) Ok back to this. This game had alot of real life spots and action.. I would say from my gaming point of view this game ranks very high.. Graphics sounds gun's lay out and story line.. I say good job microsoft for making x box because its like a mini pc right there. If you haven't played this game yet I say watch a demo of it.. And if that doesn't change your mind about buying it I'm shocked I bought it because of the demo it had for it.. Cool stunts neat action very layed out and very good..

splinter cell is the worst game, why you ask because you dont get enough ammo for the game. Sure you can find some but even the ammo you find still dont give you enough. By the end of the level you have no ammo left. Know i what you guys are saying well i just suck at this game. Well if i buy i game i beat it even if i dont like it. And i done just that. Sure the game has cool grapics. But grapics can make a game tight, so all you gamers out there saying this is a outraged what im saying well its because you no how bad this game sucks. And it just not the ammo that sucks. For example on CIA headquarters you could not even use a gun come on know you got to be kiddin me. Anouther reason why the game sucks is you can only save the game if you get to a cheak point come on now. You peaple all know this game sucks.so this game gets a 1 if i could i would give it a BIG FAT 0
