Very Well Made Game |  Philip from StationPlay says (10/Dec/2002): | This is yet another great gamemade by Activision. This game is not like any other rally game, where everyone just races for the finish line. Instead this game is like a combination of destruction derby and a trash talking copilot, In this game the other players will try to stop you from getting ahead of them by any means possible. The cars have full damage including opening doors, and pieces that fall off and such, the danage looks really good and realistic, it is all done in real time as well, along with the debris that gets on your car. The gameplay in this game are those similar to Rallysport Challenge, but more arcade like rather than simulation. That means fast paced action and crazy moves like jumping over huge dividers and landing right on top of another car (i've done that before). The graphics are very good with bump mapping, very good lighting, nice realtime shadows,and very good high quality textures. The cars are designed so that you can break just about every piece of it somehow, you have the usual brands to choose from like Ford, Mitsubishi, toyota, peugeot....., There are alot of modes to choose from including Follow the Leader, Elimination, Relay, Hill Climb, and Rallycross. The 4 person multiplyet is alot of fun, destroying each other's cars just for kicks.

I did not like the game because I have younger children and I was upset when I heard the driver say the F word when the car crashed. It is beeped out but not enough. You can clearly hear what he is saying. To hear that over and over throughout the race is not right.
