great review | | www.iamgod123@hotmail.com from barrie ontario says (25/Sep/2003): | this game is not bad i play it alot and its great . when you are playing one player and they ask you to enter your user name enter FULL HOUSE or ALLUCANGET or Miss world or jam session than you can really fly . you will get every car, and track in the game (you still have to do the mission but thats okay) . when you get the code in go to free ride pick TEST CENTER and start the race. when you start take the road on your left and follow it , if you have the mercedes clk test car you will hit the oval. in the options menu set the game to arcade (100%)if done correctly you will reach speeds upwards of 500 mph. so have fun and go fast.

My only complaint is that the menus are absolutely, so ridiculously difficult to manage that 80% of the time I don't know what the hell I'm doing or where I'm at. Besides that, the game is one of the best I've ever played. The custom soundtrack plays even during the menu areas. The physics are kinda goofy, but nothing you can't adapt to. The 'in $#< remove me > at !pit' view looks awesome and shows each cars respective interior and still has good visability of the road and scenery. The SUV races are especially fun with the 'in-$#< remove me > at !pit' view. The graphics are spectacutar...probably the best point of the game, and showcases xbox' ability on several occasions. Car selection is awesome from concept to production models to oldskool racers that paved the way in Mercedes' history. The tracks are many, and quite literally are as large (if not bigger) as GTA3, maybe even Vice City. You even have the ability to take a free ride and just drive to your hearts content around these giant areas listening to your own beats in kickass rides that you unlock. It's quite a relaxing pace from just racing pre-set courses all the time. You can just go wherever you want (especially in the SUV's). One more tiny complaint...not enough pedestrians that move around, you can drive right thru trees,ppl, and water(although the water IS beautiful). But these are all minor things and don't really detract from the gaming experience. This is a very good game, don't listen to other reviewers that bash this title based purely on comparisons of games like GT3 and Need for Speed, this title is very different from those, but also very good. If you are still a bit weary, at least give it a rent. This game lost one point for stupid menus and that is it. (there are a few glitches, but c'mon dude, it's a complex video game. they're not that distracting and when the car leaves the track because you did something stupid, just press the white button to return your car to the road and quit bitching about glitches and how you can drive thru trees and such. would you rather smash into them mid-race and lose b/c of it? it's an arcade racer...get over it. it's not supposed to be real) I wouldn't give this game up for anything.

Lots of tracks and cars, great graphics and effects, and more og less realistic car damage.
I was glued to the screen for hours the first time I tested it, and it only gets more fun after playing a while 'ks you get all the badass cars.
