Xbox THQ and all others who had a hand in making this game had the right idea, the game is soild the gameplay dosn't suck but gets a bit easy after awhile. Create A Superstar must be the only thing that didn't lack anything ( What is a few missing moves ? ) They storylines could have displayed text and yes i agree with most of you on a level that you said the game sucks, sucks not to have the small details which could ( Not Should have ) made the game better. I been playing wrestling games since the Snes and nes days all the way up to the present wrestling game age, and i see big improvement to where hulk hogan could duke it out with lex luger in 2d to where you could create lex luger and have him duke it out with hogan raw 2 style

- CAS rivals CAW in the smackdown games
- Entrance music can be ripped form the xbox hardrive
- Match types are a better thing ( Not those who wanted something that is in Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain )
- Season Mode ( At least they got it in there this time )
- 6 Players on the screen ( YAY! 6 Men asskick'in action )
- Able to create those who didn't make the cut ( Jeff Hardy, Maven, Or someone form a diffrent federation all togher. )
- Cons of Raw 2 -
- Slow Pin count
- Fast Count out
- Slow Entrance Movie ( The introduction movie of the game )
- Become bored with Season ( With out text it sucks )
- Heavyweights pose to much of a challenge ( Brock cheats so dose HHH )
- Evolution works to damn fast ( Orton moves way to quick, Batista is just an animal if he faces the right person )
- Fun Factor -
It's fun to watch up to 6 superstars at a time come in and battle it out in such a fun way, it's fun to see someone like christan and jericho hit the mat form impact of the most dangerous and ever deadly frogsplash which eddie and RVD preform. While we all sit down and take moments to play we have to grasp and pathom that in years it's only going to get better.
- Summary -
Yes it could have been better, as a few post ago someone said " Xbox just got into the wrestling game making " and i have to agree at least it's better then Raw which featured good graphics and yet had very bad almost nightmare like gameplay which became to easy to preform a counter or grapple out of a move. Those who only play wrestling games for " The Perfection " need to show repect at least WWE is even puting out games to sell there massive product i tip my hat to all the coming games which feature new egines of play i also advise you to at least rent it and try it for yourself not on others words :)
| Raw 2 is great, but some improvements needed for Raw 3 | | A gamer from New York, US says (18/Sep/2004): | Alright, good things on this game is the soundtracks you can burn on, create a character, graphics,etc. Almost everything it has is good. But it's missing A LOT. NO GOOD MATCHES. It has hell in a cell and cage, but they get boring after awhile. When you slam sumbody thru the cell once they won't go near the middle again-you have to irish whip them near it. TLC and ladder matches are stupid cuz you'll just hang on the title and then ur oopenent jumps up and gets it. Season mode is lacking- needs a plot. It needs blood. It needs bra & panties, buried alive, backstage, first blood, and it needs elimination chamber. The commentators would be cool to have at ringside so you could beat them up too. There should be security guards that you can beat up. You need to be able to grapple people with weapons other than the chair-you could bash their face into the stairs. You should fight in the crowds. There should be be vince coming in and making announcements, roster signings, draft lotto, guest ref, and more. Raw 3 could be so great, if only the makers of the game would read what we say they would know of the real fans and make a kick-< remove me > at $s game.

Also the game is really cool because you can dowload your own music and put it on the intro. Another thing to bad it didnt had elmination chamber or bra & panties match cause it going be in the smackdown here comes the pain for only PS2. I think that game is going be better than raw 2 and it might be aroud between 9.5 to 9.7.It going to be release in october 27, 2003.
Oh well at least raw 2 is the best so far and i hope it better than here comes the pain.

Stunning Graphics, Great Story Line, Best Create-a-Player Mode, Best Roster of Superstars to go on the game. Just Watch out Smackdown 5, you better be better than this game! The best thing about the game is the game play has gotten way better from the old Raw game. Better Graphics, you can even set your own Intro Video for your created superstar. Right now, Im still in the first year, and the rivals are pretty great in the game, I hope everyone enjoys this years number one wrestling game.

I mean I would like to at least see what the players are saying. I would like to be able to walk around backstage like on smackdown. I would like to carry the tittle to the ring after I win it. I would also like to not look like a damm monkey swinging from a fine for five minutes trying to get the title in a ladder match. What is up with getting a title shot. I am undefeated for 2 sessions now and Stacy Kibler is the champ that makes no dam since. I seriously hope x-box would have a little higher standards. Maybe the next will be better.

All the wrestelers are just like the real ones with the entrance, the moves, the looks, friends, enimies, EVERYTHING! The first time I played it I loved it! I think it is also cool that they have belts for Smackdown and Raw and that they show Eric Bishof, Jerry Lawler, and J.R. Lastly I think its awsom that this is the first game where they say your real name at the entrance. THAT IS SO COOL!

And you dont have to share the same Voltage Meter.The old Voltage meter was impossible to do finishers.I am hoping a bigger improvement for Raw 3.It might be better because the guys that made Raw 2 were fired right after the finished the game but those guys did a good job.

But overall its not that bad the graphics are very well, gameplay needs some work but still simple and fun. Entrances and character slection is very good. Storyline need a major overhaul gets boring too quick. When I called out a wrestler he never should, my ambushs always failed but it just got tiring doing th same things over and over. The soundtrack was good I was impressed. Creat a wrestler was very fun to work on and amusing. If they add a elemination chamber, allow for more wreslters in stable, some blood, hidden characters and of course a StoryLine in Raw 3 then it will be Hype.

There are no I quitt, Ironman or any other matches like that and there is no Elimination Chamber!!!
Its gameplay hasn't improved one bit and the new career mode doesn't have any storylines and you can't hear the caracters speak you can only watch them move their mouth.
It has good graphycs and create a superstar mode, but all the characters are stupid and there are lots of things that need to be worked on in career mode so if you're looking for a good wrestling game Raw 2 just isn't the right one.

One there no blood you can beat them with a chair and the never seem to knock the guy out. There no KO only submission and pins. In the hell in the cell match you can even knock the off the cage (like undertaker vs mankind) Come one I been waiting for a good wrestling game and so far I'm still waiting, maybe I need to buy the game cube to get a good wrestling game. So do buy or wait till it goes down to 29 or 19 dollars. Please save you money, I wish i did
| Raw 2 Pins SD5 | | Harry Ballzonya from Ohio, USA says (2/Nov/2003): | C'mon be honest and lets thing about this here people, Raw 2 may lack matches like the Elimination Chamber and Bra & Panies matches but for one the Elimination Chamber happened to be created well after the game was actually created and when the game is created does anyone else know what happens, it gets the flaws out and gets it ready to be released, then all you do is wait for a release date that will get alot of sells for you're company, so use a bit of common sense and thought before posting, and lets get down to more of it. Would you prefer a game that looks real like Raw 2 or a game that looks like it just came out of you're little sisters coloring book like Smackdown, you get hit on Smackdown and you flop around like paper on a windy day. I prefer reality anyday. Before I dare go on let me explain to everyone before they reply to my post that I own both PS2 and Xbox and I'm not choosing the system I have because I own both. I also own both games but I never play SD because it completly sucks but some of my friends decide to play it sometimes, So lets put it like this overall Raw 2 and SD equal out in ratings, SD has more matches and so on where as Raw 2 comes in with reality and better graphics and etc. The Season modes i'd say that there both good but Raw 2 is better because it gives more overall but then since the superstars dont talk thats where Smackdown's would come in and equal it out. Backstage area, first of all when you have hell in a cell and other matches like that who needs backstage but if thats what gets you're jollies goin then Smackdowns got it but if you think about it, its worth nothing because who honestly has seen a human being thrown into a car and it explode (occured in SD4) Who are we trying to excite with that our 2 year old brothers and sisters. Its a teen game so alot of teens likly will have it and mature younger kids, aswell as some cool parents so give something more real like glass breaking when you throw them into the car or something dont make it explode because last time I checked the terminator was not a wrestler. So like I said Reality is Raw 2 and The Coloring Book is SD
| RAW 2 is one of the best wrestling games ever | | Heath Rushing from Louisiana USA says (3/Nov/2003): | This is the probably the best wrestling i've played since no mercy it's much better than the wwf raw and all smackdown games on PS2 excluding here comes the pain since i am yet to play it. To start, this game has an awesome roster except the fact it has Goldberg in it which is gay he shouldn't be in ne game...ever!!! and i hate that jafe hardy isn't in it but than again he was fired before this game so that's understandable. And it don't have elimination chamber but THQ didn't havee time to add it, unless they delayed it another month or 2. This game is really awesome like the hiac is awesome since you can bust out 4 sections on the top of the cell, un like raw where you can only bust one, and you can chokeslame someone off of it onto the announcer table which is awesome if you haven,t done/attempted it yet. And the TLC is nice accept the CPU only goes for the belt, and the CAS is awesome you can do so much with a character, i've spent hours creating one character and never got bored with it. The entrances are awesome how you can customize nearly everything in it form music to titantron to pyros to the lighting. The Graphics are much better than any other wrestling game around and the fact that you can use your own music for themes. The game also has several things that need fixed
1. Bill Goldberg is in the game
2. no blood
3. no Jeff Hardy
4. no announcers
5. your enemy interferes and attackes your opponent
6. I heard that your enemy can get the title if he interferes i haven't had this happen but if yall say so.
7. to many interferences, i think there should be 2 people allowed to interfere one to help you and one to attack you and none if the match has more then 2 people unless it's a tag match
8. you rarely do what you want in season
9. some wrestlers don't have their same music
10. kane has his mask on in game but off on titantron
11. no shane mcmahon
12. no rodney mack, theodore long
13. no wheight sensibility, unless your standing on a table
14. table breaks if you stand on it, unless it's a table match.
15. not enough match types, last man standing, iron man, casket, first blood(couldn't have one though because there's no blood) etc
16. can't go up the ramp
17. lacks AI
18. in ladder matches CPU only goes for belt, they hardly go after you.
19. no backstage:(
| Nothin' Beats Raw 2 | | Jason Boyle from New York says (11/Nov/2003): | 19 months after the horrible raw game comes raw 2. It in my eyes is better than any wrestling game on the market.SMACKDOWN HCTP only has 2 more Inportant match types than Raw 2.Highlights of Raw are:
An unbeliveable Cas with customizable entrances
More match types Hiac, Tlc,Royal Rumble,cage and more
A take control Season mode
Four player season mode
A choice of ref
Much more
The low lights are:
A Bad AI
Poor collision detection
and a couple more minor problems
Overall I would give the game an 8.9/10

At last a quality WWE game for the Xbox. Unfortunately this is not it! I have read the other reviews and I don't think people are playing the same game. Maybe they're just psuedo wrestling fans. There are so many problems with this game. The graphics, animation, Fantastic! That is pretty much where it stops. There is not enough options for gameplay. The season is boring and boderline dumb. There are so many things missing from this game it is stupid. Where is the BLOOD!?! WWE has blood!!! Sports games have annoucers, and no one ever seems to get tired of them saying the same thing 1000's of times over. Where the HELL is King and Jr.!?! There's no Vince McMahon! Let me repeat! This is a WWE game and there is NO Vince McMahon. Are you on CRACK!?! Where's Shane? Jeff Hardy? I want to see a wrestler bring the belts ringside like they do in the show they don't leave it in the locker room.
I could go on and on about how disappointing this game is. I had so much faith in THQ. I guess I will have to dust off my N64 and break out WWF NO MERCY. That to date is the Most complete wrestling game for WWE. I strongly suggest that THQ take that game and update it for the Xbox. Until then anyone want to buy a slightly used copy of WWE RAW2, sell or trade.

I think they should have better hidden wrestlers, personally to have some oldie wrestlers, like Ultimate Warrior, Demolition, and Bret 'Hitman' Hart wouold be really cool. It sorta sucks that there's no Elimination Chamber and you can't go backstage in hardcore matches. But, the graphics are awesome, I like that you could add your own music - I changed Undertakers music to the version without the bad singing from WWE Anthology and my created wrestler comes out to METALLICA - Lets see Smackdown games let me do that! I just hope they make Raw 3 and add the things missing from this game and it'll be the ultimate wrestling game. I don't like that it's so hard to get the belt down from the ladder matches and the current music for some superstars are replaced by older versions, like RVD's and Kane's. Speaking of Kane, I think it's really weird to have Kane wearing a mask and have his Titantron movie playing with him not wearing it - I hope there's some sort of cheat or way to have him take it off. But, I give this game 8 out of 10, I knoe it could be better, but it's the best out there right now, including any other wrestling game for any other console.

I may be undefeated champion, undisputed champion, but Raw 2 is still not too good. While you can choose your own soundtracks for your character for his entrance screen, you can't have more than two pyros. Video isn't the best too, it's either the existing superstars' entrance video, raw, or original, but with original, you can choose few moves and three lines of text. Graphics are good, but it's glitched. If I punch a guy on the ring, when he's trying to get off, he'll fall, and his legs and stomache will be under the mat. I need blood matches, and Ladder matches are very hard to do. I need interference from my enemies to prevent my opponent from getting the belt. You can grab the belt when the clock reaches 9:00 minutes and it won't take you that long, you'll have the belt under a minute. That is for season mode only. Gameplay isn't too interesting, but Creating Superstars can be fun. My created superstar is the undisputed champion, never lost a match, but just tied sometimes. Sometimes interference is annoying and not helpful while it is in ladder match or non-title one on one normal match with count out. I do tournament matches and Battle Royal more than season. I created a lot of characters, including Jeff Hardy, but it's not entirely like him. Good thing there's still Swanton Bomb. I'm the best WWE Raw 2 wrestler, and the number one. Too bad Jeff Hardy isn't on there, and more people too, such as Mick Foley. This is not great game, but still good enough. I'm one of the best man, Viva La Raza! Also, this game was created a year ago, before Kane took of his mask, I think?

Well, first off, Raw 2 is a hell of alot better than what Acclame {Spelling please?) came up with. I mean those games back then for the 64 just blew goats until the cows came home, and then they blew the cows!!!!! Now when THQ and AKI came into the WWF/WWE Contract of making games..now those were games!!! The CAW was the best out there, you could choose tattoos of real wrestlers which I found cool. I mean, what if you wanted your wrestler to idolize Taker? You could use his Tattoos!!!! Nooo, now they don't allow such things in the new games. That sucks if you ask me. I admit Raw 2 is a hell of a lot better than Raw 1, but think of this. In raw 1 when someone ran down at YOU, they ATTACKED YOU! not the opponent who they probably don't hate. That part I found about as stupid as a pet rock. The graphics are okay, but what is the deal with THQ only allowing the Smackdown! Games to allow realistic hair movement? I mean, who in the hell in wrestling actually hair their hair stuck to their neck?! The whole pinning over and over thing gets annoying. Makes me want to go out and smack the THQ game developers right upside the head and take over. The whole story mode deal wasn't a bad effort, but what is the fun of beating someone up back stage if you can only tackle them and kick/punch them? Where are the suplexes and DDTs back stage? ( A little helpful hint to THQ for RAW 3) and why in the blue hell did THQ scrap the back stage brawling that was promised for Raw 2? Did you all fall asleep at the keyboard? Well, that is enough of my ranting and complaints about the game. If you are wondering why I gave this game a seven for score...thats because, its grappling system is better than anything I've played since NO MERCY. ( I Missed my 64 btw)

| RAW 2 is the Bomb | | Green X from USA says (30/Aug/2004): | Raw 2 is the Bomb it is the best game in the whole WWE the only problems are, you cant go backstage, KANE has a mask and his video dosn't and has his old theme, no Jeff Hardy, no Rosey, no Eddies Low Rider, no USA belt, no intercontenenal belt, There isn't no ELIMANATION CHAMBER, Not even a Ironman match, and there aint no frekean BLOOD I mean WHATS UP WIT DAT? But it has the best graphics, at least you can unlock
some wrestlers like Mick Foley, and Ken Shamrock, you can steal, set traps, manipulate, and suprise attack, non like other games SMACKDOWN 5 HCTP. You can create wrestlers. You can change moves like change john cena's sign. move ito the FU. I hear that RAW 3 and Smackdown vs. Raw is coming it better be good cause if it is im going to be the first won in line to get it.
