First the pros, good graphics, nice controls, kinda fun, alternate endings, good action, HUGE city, nice cheats (not any of them help you beat the son of a ***** general Kim). Now for the cons, general Kim (I mean what guy is named Kim and I got 6 hits on him before he killed me maybe I suck but I got to the end in one day), freezes up with minor glitches, too short of a game, and the cars have no speed to them. Overall I would say buy the game from a second hand store and good luck beating general Kim.

When I first heard about this game I was really excited. "Another, more realistic GTA? How could I go wrong?" But everything that was said about the game was a lie. There is no "free" roaming of L.A.. Roaming; yes, but free, i think not. You can't hit pedestrians, you cant go in buildings, you can't do any mini-games. The city is boring and traffic is light, making for a terrible time driving across this sometimes to large map. Its like the creators of the game thought that the only reason games like GTA are hits is because you can drive. Also, there are only like 7 different cars and you can only cary the same two guns. All the others (I counted about 5, but I may be one or two off) have a very limited amount of ammo and you can't reload. The missions aren't nonlinear, and you often start one mission right after the other. The Nick Kang, the main character, is one of the most annoying videogame personalitys I have ever come acoss, he repeats the same things over and over throughout gameplay. The story is sketchy and thrown together (poorly), so I guess you could say it goes with this game well. Overall, one of the most disappointing games I have ever played and if you must play it, rent it because I can almost gurantee that you will never want to play it again.

i think it has great story line i own both vice city and true crime my opinion is that its better the cars are better the guns are better i hate cops but id have to say i like to bust people and the graphics are twice as good and the fight part in vice city are to easy very un realistic i would say to the people out there who thing vice city is better you suck and p.s think about real life and vice city then think about true crime you can just walk up to any person and bust them for drugs and the kid who beat it in a day 1:get a life 2:get a girl you pathetic littel man 3: stop being a nerd

I thought this game was good ahh nope it sucks i would rent it first before you buy it i beet it in two days grand theft auto is better.on one stage you can shoot the boss and others you have to fight come on give me a job on making games I could do a lott beter than they did the only thing good is the sound track graphics and the storyline other than that it suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks! dont wayst money like i did buy another game.agian this game is $#< remove me > at !t please dont waist youre money maybe theyl make a second one that sucks just as bad.

Okay, first of all I have never played the game before. 2nd of all i just put 10 stars just for the heck of it. But I just thought i'de say(They may be wrong) But a game rating website showed that it got all 9's out of 10's. For Graphics;Sound;Gameplay;Overall,ect.... On my point of view I think it is going to be half & half, Realy good but then again on the hand(The one holding the devil) says not to good. But ill find out soon. Hey if you guys want to Email go ahead....

True crime should have actually been calles true crap, the game is short and easy, good luck getting the cops to chase you in this game it does not happen, the cammera is glitchy and the fights are mental, the city is huge but theirs really nothing to do in it cause it dosnt matter how many people you kill no one responds, so as far as anyone saying this game is better than GTA you would have to be blind and semi retarted the city in gta is much more alive, notice that in true crime theirs barely any traffic, yeah that seems like l.a ,,, true crime is a verry cheap attempt to make money off the gta franchise, i say worst game ever GTA rocks its so deep and overall a better experience, for the price of true crap you can get 2 games that scored allmost perfect 10s as opposed to 1 game that scored a 7

i found this game to be very entertaining. it was a lot like gta, but i like this one better. i personally love fighting games with punching and kicking, and i rarely rely on guns to get me out of a situation. this game has a fighting section all in itself. the action is great and everything from weapons to combos made me difficult to stop playing. this "dude" from alaska (the very negative opinion below me) has obviously been spending too much time up there in the cold. his brain must be one big ice cube. time to move back to wear the sun shines warm and take a better look at what corporate america has to offer for video games.
back to the original topic-the gunplay is also very good. you can pick up one gun in each hand, and they can be 2 diff guns too. however, the weather is fairly nice and sunny, with no snow. unlike alaska. so i gues there would be almost a culture shock when he plays it. maybe he should try that wolverine game, it takes place in a snowy mountian. he might feel more at home....
so i strongly suggest atleast the rental of this game. it gives on mainland americans a very high sense of pleasure. i rate it a 10 and stand by it

This game is total crap compared to either of the recent GTA games and anyone who says differently is very easily entertained and a moron. The missons aren't nonlinear, and a lot of the time you progress directly into the next mission. The only time you get to explore the city is in a few missons where you need to get to a certain location, and even when you do get to explore you don't have any freedom. You cant hit pedestrians or your cop "rating" will go down and the game will only last a few missions, and I beat the game completely in 4 days, that means all three (shi++y) endings. There are only about 7 different cars and 6 different guns (you only get to carry the same two, and all others only have a very limited amount of ammo)and the fight sucks because all it you can do is kick and punch hoping to get lucky with a hit or combo of some kind. If your desperate to play this game (I will admit that I was) then rent it, because you will only want to play it once, guranteed. The graphics are only average and this game is pretty much your average shooter.

For those aspiring to purchase this game, I would say it would be a wise choice. However, there are some things that one should take note of when deciding. Firstly this game immensly violent and unsuitable for people under the age of 18 years old. Also, getting accustomed to the controls of the game is a big hassle, on average, it takes people between 7 hours to a day to figure out, and be quite comfortable with the whole setup of driving, shooting, driving while shooting and learning to kick ass. Finally, for those die hard fans of Quality visuals all i will say is don't hold your breath because consoles have a tendancy to screw graphics up, and they have quite so, with the vehicles and scenary displaying what can only be described as "Playstaion 2" graphics (nothing near the 1600x1200 standard gaming resolution i am accustomed to on computer). Overall, the game does deserve a lot of credit, especially for its VERY satisfying fighting scenes. Enjoy.

shady the camera work is, frustration is sure to drive you crazy.
Demons? Dragons? Endless bullets? GOOD COP????
C'mon, think about it, 2 GTAs or one wanna be that just doesn't quite go the distance, it's your money.

What a weak game, I was looking forward to at least a few days of playing, then I realized that the road that my missions were travelling down was almost over with. Then the game was done already. What the fuzz! The game was done before it even got started. All the rave previews of the game sounded promising, I don't know what everyone else heard, but I was hearing that it was better than GTA-VC and that it "was so realistic that if you go somewhere in the game you can go there in real life" I don't know if this is really what LA is like, but the streets of Minneapolis have a whole lot more cars and hundreds more people than this game did. Graphics were way less than I expected too, looked like Mario 64. All in all, if the game had about 5 times the amount of missions, totally different graphics, and well, nevermind, nothing can save this game. I'd rather buy an Ngage then deal with the stereotypical Russian again.
Oh yeah, Big ups to Christopher Walken, but doesn't the man deserve a better animation than a fat cop who works in the shooting gallery? Come on, we're talking Christopher Walken!

I must be a sucker to think that the game is good because some stoned hair brain said it was better than GTA on a t.v. comercail.
I want more guns, more cars, more traffic. More crime. It's bad enough I have too be a kong fu fighting cop. The graffics are weak, the guns and cars are weak, and I can't run over cilvilains. How am I going to have more fun with games like this in the market? However, I will agree that the music was great.I have a radio though, you stupid #$!< remove me > at *< remove me > at . When I play X BOX I want to be a murdours criminal, not some stupid cop who doesn't know the first thing about being funny.

I love this game its very entertaining. theres lots of action the only thing is that you got to have good cop status in order to pass episodes. this game is awsome you got to get it. its all about Nick Kang and his brother mostly his father this is a huge game. if you are like you find out games in 10 seconds youl love it too. peaple who dont must be lunitics. for my sakes get it. I mostly like the fighting and driving the shooting is awsome too.rate this 10 hey want some codes now want to play as a bum put in wupass as a lisence plate.

when you first start off in the game you my find it dull to say the least.all throught the game you have choice either to be a good cop or a bad cop (perferabley a good cop!!).the game is really all about nick (the person you play as!) going around getting his revenge on people that have f&*ked around with him or his famlie. during game play you can go around arresting people that may look suspicious during missions which can earn you a good cop statous (a good idea). in the bonous curising missions (my faviroute)you have choices weather you whant to get the next grade up in fighting, driveing, or shooting. all of them improve your strenght and accuricy.

This game is way too overated. This is suppose to be a GTA clone and it is nowhere near it. GTA is an easy 10 stars this is 4 and that's pushing it. I'll give it credit, the high speed chases are fun until you have to turn, the cars are so damn stiff. It's better off just driving around busting criminals than doing missions bcuz they're so easy. It has a huge map, which I like, But this game is soooo irritating. I was waiting for this game for a few months and was very disapointed when I played into it. I literally played Max Payne after a couple hours of trying to enjoy this game just to play a good shooting game. Rent this if you want, it's no where near a buy.

True crime streets of LA all the hype surrounding it saying how much better then gta it was going to be well it isn,t it isn,t even close and thats from the mouth of an xboxer.You start of at a (for a first time playing) an insanely hard target practice after failing that you have the choice to choose between continue story or reply mission the chances are you will pick continue story because the target practice is so hard and boring then you have a miniute an half to drive to E.O.D which for a first time playing)again is insanly hard as for the graphics all a can say is CRAP CRAP CRAP they stink there is no detail and there is soooooooooooooooo many glitches there good things though for example the city is big and killig people in the streets for no reason is fun (for a while)the lifespan is about as long as a greenflys life you will complete it within 4hors tops.So for 40 quid this sucks.

Well when i first picked up this game i was excited to see what it intailed. Ya know cuz all the hype about it being way better that GTA. Yes the game does have its high points but common, the game is crap and everyone knows it. The thing i hate most about this game is the fight missions againts the bosses. Who the hell wants to fight when you have two freakin degals that can easily blow em' away. Plus fighting the bosses is extremly hard too, you actually have to block if you want to live.. i dont wanna block, i just want to kick the $#< remove me > at ! outta em'. The city is wayyy to big and the is wayy to little traffic for it to be LA. And the gun thing wtf, you can't change your guns at will? Who wants to play a "shooting game" when you only can have the two same guns the whole game, and yea you can pick up guns of defeated enemies, bu they have like two bullets left in em' and you cant reload. Yea so pretty much this game sucks my left nut... and whoever said this game is better than GTA what the hell was he smokin!?!? cuz i need to get me some of that $#< remove me > at ! if it screw up your preception that much.

Right where do i start, True Crime is a unique game but by all means doesn't compare to GTA Vice City. There are some glitches in this game and due to all the hype and pre-release tension it doesn't come up to peoples expectations. A good game, but not worth the money. Even though i have got a coppied version.

I think this game is excaly like gta but not enough guns.. the cars are awesome when winning the cruise thing. the cars are stronger than gta's cause in gta, the cars are so sensitive but the cars in gta better..the best thing about this game, better than gta is how they move but in gta its ook..the colors for true crime arent as good as gta..gta orders are way harder than true crime.true crimes ordders are so easy to finish.in gta u could drive boats but in true crime, u dont.overall i think true crime:streets of la is a great game..i like this game cos it has swearing in it.
