HALO 2 IS A TIGHT GAME..fun factor for 1 player was a 5 out of 10. the problem was how short every single level was. in the first halo it seemed you can do so much more.. in the first halo you can drve whereever u want and in halo2 you were on the ring the whole time!! I didn't like the arbiter that much because of his weapons.. the sword was cool and turning invisible was cool.. but the weapons for the arbiter just sucked. Cmon bunjie u gots to put more of the mc in the game. ALL YOU PEOPLE THATS SAYING HALO 2 LEGENDARY IS HARD IS BECAUSE UR PLAYING IT BY URSELF!!! YOU CAN PLAY LEGENDARY WITH 4 PEOPLE MAyNe!!! Alright i got to admit most of the levels were tight but it feels like somethings missing.. The graphics were hell better than halo Combat evolved. The sound effects were better and the gameplay rocked my house down. Yeah as people have mentioned a thousand times, dual wielding is cool, the new weapons and vehicles are cool and pretty much everthing about halo 2 is cool.
The storyline was not a let down. The player needs to see the story from both sides. The story had more twists than halo 1. The covenant has found earth, The covenant breaks apart, the covenant has it's arbiter, the master chief kicks ass and what's really interesting is that the outlawed covenant (elites, grunts and hunters)has partly allied with the humans in an attempt to stop the prophets from activating halo. I reckon the halo 2 story is leading to a bloody freaking awesome halo 3. It'd be cool if the arbiter and the master chief chase the prophets to the other halos, and the so called "ARC". THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME.
To sum up all you people who think halo 2 was gay and poor need to listen to the story very cleary, cause bungie made the story like that for a reason. You don't want the human-covenant war to finish so soon do you? any way the game was better than anything i've ever played. Thanks to bungie, halo 2, master chief, tartarus, the arbiter, cortana is HOT!!!

I think that it should have been an option to use the fuel rod gun in multiplayer. I think having a pelican or a Conveant Dropship in the game would be kool, but i understand how it would have been extremelly hard. Dual weilding is really cool and all the weapons are very well balanced. The fuel rod gun would be cool on the banshee but mabye it would cause too much "HAVOC" It is hard to imagine too much havoc in the game of halo but maybe it is true. The campaign for the second halo was sorta a dissapointment, but it was still amusing, just not even close to as epic as the first one. I think that there should be more large scale attacks and more vehicles. I am not dissing hte campaign, only giving suggestions. I think that if you could have 32 player halo it would be the absolute coolest thing ever, it would be so much warfare and gunfare, i would love it. You would still be able to put the max players to lower than 32, but if you wanted to be hardcore you could have 32 people. If you can just imagine how much fun it is to play with 15 of your other friends, imagine playing with 31 of your friends, the action would never let up leading to more large scale attacks and increased teamwork. THe graphics in halo 2 are really cool, as well as all the new sound affects. The medlas are also a really kool idea. I am very excited for halo 3 and also very pleased with halo 2. Peace out

So the ending was a total let down but you have to think of why bungie did what they did. Have you stopped to think of what Halo 3 has in store.
Halo 2 was of the hook, especially with the multiplayer maps and vehicles. The game was mainly made for multiplayer and you have to give bungie props for that. I couldn't think of anything to say about the new guns and enemies. The new guns arent really an improvement but copies of the others in halo1 for instance the carbine was a let down with no fullauto and only twelve shots that was just dumb, not to mention the brute shot was terrible in both campaign and multiplayer battles if you ask me its like going into the battle field with butter knives. But overall the game rocked and they could only make a few adjustments such as the ending and more levels with both the masterchief and arbiter which better be in Halo 3. The arbiter levels were pretty dull do to the lack of stories. Another thing that would make Halo 3 an even better trinity is if they give it at least one major battle where flood,covenant,and humans are all in the field shooting one another(and maybe even sentinels). I hope cortana shows up again because she was the main character in halo other than the masterchief but she did squat in Halo2 due to the Arbiter levels. So Halo 2 rocked and no one better say otherwise.

The graphics could've used a little tweaking, but it makes up for that in gameplay. It actually feels like you're there. The plasma pistol/pistol combo is, I say, my favorite, because 2 shots-your opponent is dead. As long as an overcharged plasma bolt hits them, and you get a pistol headshot. The story was great, you get to play as a disgraced elite. I say, he has the best looking armor I've ever seen on an elite. I hated the flood, but it wasn't as freaky as the first Halo. You didn't know what you were up against. And in the first halo, the plasma pistol was too strong. I went through the maw with just a plasma pistol on heroic! This time, it's not too strong.
Although the mongoose(ATV) could've been kept in, the vehicles are awesome. The ghost, you can destroy with one sniper shot to the fuel tank on the left side. The warthog, is one of the better ones. It gets fun, because it's harder to hijack than a tank or ghost. The banshee, is way too powerful if used by a skilled pilot. The only real good weapon against it is the rocket, tank(human), on gauss cannon. It's too deadly when you have just a pistol and it's headed straight towards you. And most people think the rocket is n00bish. It's not, it's a last resort weapon. It helps to lock on to vehicles, but it sometimes will miss. And it's not as powewrful as the halo 1 rocket.
Overall, I think that Halo 2 is way better than Halo 1, and those who don't like the changes or don't like to play as an elite are just too stuck on the first halo. Hope this review helps those who wanted to know about Halo 2.

The campaign was 10x better than in the first game thanks to a cooler story, more and better weapons, the ability to dual wield weapons and stealing vehicles. The multiplayer on xbox live was the greatest thing in the world cuz you could do almost everything you could do in single player. And those 16 player battles were the best. The graphics were amazing and the levels looked cool. And they were dang fun to play through even the millionth time. On legendary there were too many cheap kills and it was a little too realistic for me. On co-op though, it was fun cuz you had to communicate well and work together to stick it to the covenant. I liked playing as Arbiter cause i thought he was really cool. Overall if you like first person shooters you can't miss Halo 2.The only problem is it ends and the ending is horribly incomplete. I was hoping to go back to earth and finish the war with the covenant. That would have been sweet but it is still a pretty cool game and if you don't get it now, i'll kill you.

i think you need to be able to take the hunters weopons. And the energy sword doesnt need to run out of ammo.I loved all the hidden secrets and skulls. But thes skulls need to do cooler things like unlimited ammo and stuff like that. Or turn plasma rifles to scarab guns. You need to be able to drive the scarab at some point is the game. I think the flood should not have come back. The hunters need to be a lot harder(no orange spots or smaller ones). I think the plasma pistols need to be alot more powerfull. I loved the battle rifle and duel weilding magnums was auesome. I realy like the new gauss turret on the wart hog. The beam rifle and sniper were auesome! You really need to be able to shoot dropships down! and drive the phantoms. In multiplayer you need the banshee bomb and need to be able to have a phantom on xbox live for a huge attak. And carry a fuel rod cannon like a rocket launcher. And on campain and multi player you need to be able to use the sescondary guns on the wraith. The smgs could have been better and killed faster. the shotgun was like the best weopon in the world. I realy like how you can customize your games alot better. The banshee needs to go a little faster. Other than those things i mentioned the game kiked but!!!!!!!!!

(I gave Halo 10/10) It was because it wasn't that great. Duel wielding is just absolutely pointless. You have to throw a gun down to do pretty much anything except shoot. The tank is a heck of a lot slower than in Halo: CE. The Magnum is about as useful as a Scorpion Tank with no machine guns or cannon or fuel because the *new and improved* magnum has no scope and is too weak to be of any use except for the Grunts. The Sniper Rifle is good because it is powerful, but you can't use it because it is hardly in single player, and the enemies move too fast to snipe at them. But - you can finally steal enemy vehicles! (The problem is that you can't fly Pelicans [aka UNSC dropship], or covenant dropships. And the Warthog is no longer indestructable (boo hoo!). The graphics in Halo 2 are good (but I don't think they are better than the graphics in Halo CE). No longer will blood come out of enemies when they are dead and you whack them (no more saying "look! I spilled the paint can!"). The overall story is very "stoopid". It is probably the most identical sequel ever! The only good things about the story are the new weapons, and the ability to steal certain things. I think that the game was completely screwed up because you play as the Arbiter for more than half the game (i thought halo was about the master chief). AND... there are NO cheats that are any use WHATSOEVER!!!! Overall, Halo 2 is just a rip-off. Bungie - you took a good game and, instead of improving it, you screwed it right up!!

I love it because the storyline is the greatest i have ever heard of. it has revolutionized the way people around the world play and think about video games. Even with this being the greatest game of all time i still went through each level on each dificulty and found what i could to increase your gaming pleasure. Bungie, if you are reading this, i think that you are the shizniz and that halo 3 will be the greatest thing god has ever made in video game form.
1. I dont understand why dual plasma pistols dont kill something small like jackals and grunts with 2 charged up blasts. it is freaky. for gamers, dont use these guns together if you plan to split some skulls(is fun to play around with if you like wild west).
2. why does the shotgun look like a toy? the shot gun in the last game looked like it was a beast. it looks very bad now.
ALSO if you have had this problem i know what you are talking about. if you have experimented with the shotgun you will find that if you run or sneak up behind a hunter and shoot him in the back he will fall over and die. but, if you shoot a brute in the back like 3 times it still wont die. whats up with that? i mean their like freagn chewbacca for petes sake. any who, the shotgun is still a force to reckond with.
4. why dont the hunters die if you like cut the crap out of them? front and back slashings with a 3ft long energy sword would like cut them to ribbons. gamers, stick to the usual tactics for killing hunters(shoot in back) and for fun keep jumping over them and then rifle butt them in the back. do this repeatedly. its hilarious.
5.random event:i just found this out yesterday and i am still testing it with success online so here goes, get a sword and a rocket launcher. empty the rocket launcher. then lock onto a elite or something that is prone. press y+y+shoot. you will fly across the screen and stab the enemie. its funn try it!=)
6.If you want to have a good time sit in the side seat of the warthog and have a marine drive. let a elite steal the car. you can ride with him.
Any way i would like to personally thank bungie, microsoft studios, master cheif, and the stupid covies for letting us completly slaughter their race for pennies. PEACE!

This game has amazing improvements over Halo, especially X-Box live. Now, admittedly, the single player campaign was short, and easy, but it still provided about 12 hours of fun, and then lots more if you play on legendary.
The Multiplayer maps, however really brought out the shine of this game. Aside from Coagulation, the maps were innovative, and adaptable to all playing strategies. And, with X-Box live new maps are out, with more on the way.
The plentiful game modes will keep you and you're friends occupied for years. With X-Box live, you whole life may be consumed by Halo 2.
The engine updates all rocked also, aside from the loss of the beloved human pistol *tear* the weapons all kick ass. There are strenghts and weaknesses to every weapon, and literally thousands of stratiegies in weapon selections alone!
I would HIGHLY suggest picking up this game, even if you don't have an X-Box! I think that anyone who sais this game sucks is a game-cube owning cry baby who is just pissed of that his mom won't let him get an M rated game.

I got the game in its platnium case (really nice).I never did play halo 1, but im gonna get it off my friend, anywho halo2 had great graphics the story was good tho it got confusing at the end (now im gonna have to play the last few levels to understand):(... i cant wait till halo 3 comes out, the ending for halo2 was like weird, the covs and the humans gang up on the prophets and that big hairy beast. I just beat the game tonight in total it took about 5 hours to beat. but it took so long bucez i play multyplayer alot.i cant wait to get xbox live but when i do finally i will have enough ppl for the warhog.After i beat the game i tried to remember what level was on that 8 min preview. They never had that level... :(. but i dont care the main thing is that HALO 2 is probably the best game for xbox and i reccommend it to anybody. its worth it.

I like the part when you're riding through the ship as everyone else is running around, and stuff is blowing up, people are shooting at you, and you're shooting back. It was awesome. Halo 2 wasn't like that though. It was more or less like running around doing chores kinda crap. I have an idea for a level though on Halo 3, if you guys want to take it into consideration.
There should be a huge invasion on the Covenant home world. And it should all be on land. Scorpions, Banshees, Ghosts, Warthogs, and add a helicopter or two for the humans, if that's possible.
Also, I think that practically the entire army of both sides should be there. And make it like the Invasion of Normandy. Have you seen "Saving Private Ryan". Make it just like that, but sort of crossed with the last level of halo 1. And make it inside of a huge old abandoned city too. I think people would love that.
And whatever you do, please, it was too damn easy to get lost in Halo 2, I don't want Halo3 to be like that. And make to where you can explore worlds too, I hate not having the ability to look around, and pick stuff up. Lots of better weapons too. Like a flame thrower, lazer beam, you know, the cool stuff. And do you know what would be cool too? If you could fly a jet or something, and launch missles at enemy tanks and stuff. And there should be a whole bunch of space vehicles too. I would love nothing more than too fly right into a covenant ship, jump off my space vehicle, and start killing everything inside of the enemy spaceship, and possibly take it over. And the Master Chief should have the ability to call in for Marine reinforcements too, I think people would love that. Anywhere you are, you can just call for marine support, and they would be dropped off where you needed them to be. And you could command them too, tell them where to go, what to do, and stuff like that. Call in for supplies too.
Anyways, I was really pissed off with the ending of Halo 2, if you make Halo 3 like that, you are going to have alot of angry people on your hands.

Halo 2 on legendary really isn't that hard. the first level was almost imposable but that was just almost at best. plus the added secret scull collecting task is an added bonus to make it even more of a challenge, since you can only get them in the levels when your playing on legendary, and a little bit more fun... if you haven't heard of the sculls you should look it up. actually, John it might be over your head or to hard for you to comprehend so you might not want to. anyway I thought the game was a good answered to everyones,"how are they going to improve on the original halo", question? because halo was a very well put together game, and hard to top. lets see you come up with something a lot better. not only that but make it so great that it is almost impossible to top and everyone raves and rants about it for years. oh and then, lets see you come up with a sequel to that game that blows your mind away. oh and then lets see you answered to some punk kid that is from New Hampshire that probably loved the game but doesn't have any self confidence about him-self to stand up to his friend that said he didn't like the game, so he has to formulate his own thinking around something that someone else said. Anyway I'll go for now but remember this John,! when you go to bed sucking your thumb and knowing that your putting down of halo 2 changed the world forever, people will still play it and will not remember you in the morning.

You should have more fun then me. I think it is fun still. It is kool how banshees are in multi player and how you can be a alien, I might go play it some more but I still don't know, It looked somewhat cool when my brother was playing it and I see that the flood has returned and the aliens are in slavery, I don't know what you think about the game but you should give it a shot anyways and not buy it because of what I am saying right now. And I think you might enjoy it even more then I did but I still battle my friends in it every so often in the multi player, I'm usually the master chief. I think it is a good game but I don't personally think it is cut out to be ultra super game of the year like the first one is, sometimes, things that add to a game can be bad, or not good.

The Guass warthog is by far the best veichel on the game. The flood is not pointles and if you dumb asses would have payed attetion to the story, you would see that Aberitaor went back to the old ring. Halo 2 in my opinion, was the extended version to Halo. Halo 3 will be a new game, new storie, and a new level of gaming. Bungie you did a kick ass job and keep up the good work. Also dual weapons were a major advancement. A plasma pistol in one hand and a smg in the other...DUST. Though the banshee could have used the fuel rod cannon, it still is a machine to be reckoned with. Legenodary difficult setting is to damn hard, But herioc is to damn easy,No in between. The levels when your the covie were a bit to long and repetive, but it still was a good twist on the game. Multiplayer rocks. Online rocks. Brute shot rocks. Pistol rocks.( even thought there is no scope, dual weild makes up for that) New battel rifel rocks. Editing your pro rocks(covie or spartan...NICE). And last but sertainaly not least...Maranda KEYS IS BANGING. BUNGIE IS GOD( not really though).

Should have better sniper rifles. Needs more warthogs and troop transporter vehicles to where you can carry about five to six people and have 3 turrets. you should be able ride on the tanks while somebody else drives like in halo 1. It just needs a lot more like all the stuff I just listed, then the game would be really awesome. You should be able to drive the shadows it that sucked because your were allowed to use the turrets. It needs alot more to do to your guy that's all have to say. Everybody is probably wanting to be able to do all that and do all that to your guy. That my opinion in what halo 3 should be like. Needs new weapons. Needs better storylines. Should let you play your own custom soundtracks or no. I think these were the best for the xbox. You should puy some of the multiplayer from both ganes and put them in the third game.

So there is no point dual weilding a plasma pistol. The homing ability of the plasma pistol is just pathetic and frustrating, and to make matters worse, it looks lousy... just fire up Halo 1 if you don't believe me. The melee attack has lost its venom too. Banshees in multiplayer - try going up against any other vehicle and see how you fare (it is screaming for a fuel rod cannon) Bungie can you send us an upgrade? On higher difficulty levels, the sheild alarm is irrelevant - as you will find when you are surprised by an elite with a plasma pistol. You'll be dead before you have time to ponder the state of your shield. Must say though, I love the interactive environment, even if the AI drivers sometimes get stuck between debris and walls. Punching things clear of impediments is not as easy anymore.
I've tried to enjoy playing as the Arbiter, but I guess I'm just one of those inflexible people who loves an original and is doomed to be disappointed by a sequel.(I must admit that I played 'Assault on the control room' too many times - and loved every minute)How do you beat being surrounded by rapidly dying marines, plenty of room to move, a tank that has a realistic firing rate (sorry, the new one just reloads too damn fast for an opponent trying to kill you with a rocket launcher), tying to snipe Covenant at very long range while a wraith bombs you and your allies? Play this level again on Halo 1 and see if you can find anything as expansive and varied in the new game. It is an epic battle.

I beat halo 2 in no time at all and I've beaten every level on every difficulty. It's not that hard. The graphics are great don't get me wrong. I liked playing as the arbiter too. Especially with his cloaking device…ehehehehh… The game was fun until I beat it then it's kind of boring. Now I play multiplayer on Xbox Live, which may I say, I SO SWEET!!!!!!!!The flood made another appearance, but I don't understand why. They just came out of nowhere and started attacking you.The banshee and scorpion tank in Halo 2 are awesome I love them. The new battle rifle rocks along with the covenant beam rifle. I think that halo 2 is just a major setup, or a beta test for halo 3.
Multiplayer is fun, but I think the maps are too big for 4 or less people. The profile editing for multiplayer is sweet though. My master chief looks awesome :).
On the final level, The Great Journey, the end boss could have been more difficult. It took like 2 minutes to beat him.Overall Halo 2 is a good game, but it could have been better.

Although the graphics were phenominal, i was hoping for a few better vehicles, and guns, yea more alien weapons, but it wasn't as great as i expected. I also didnt like the idea of have o be an elite so long, i mean yea the first time is fine, but then they kept switching you between them, for example i would get into being master cheif and then a clip saying you must follow the blue moniters instructions and defeat the flood. And why are they back anyway, i always found them as a pain!I did like the fact tht the hunters ahve bigger orange spots, and if u like to get personal with a shotgun they are easy prey! Multipliayer is also wonderful, but i think it could use a few more unique battlegrounds. I didnt really like the upgrades with the warthogs tho, it was either treds, machine gun, or cannon, and the sensitivity made it so you cant just play around and do donuts on accident and stuff. Other thhan that i think the game was great, and can't wait to see if a halo 3 comes out!

still why i like the game is the graphics and the floods ferocity 7 times in the game they made me jump . the graphics are best i think on the flood i shot at one of the combat forms and all his organs squirted out. what happens to all the marines and elites armor.I like the shorter levels but halo fans like me meant the next level not in the same facility.
the covenant levels are to long and make up most of the game.
my conclusion is the games still one of my favourites but needs a lot of replanning
