What i really liked about it was because that the graphics were ten times better then halo 1, It was spectacular!!! The best game ever!!! When is halo 3 coming out??? IT is really really really really really awesoem of the creator of halo to have a smart mind like that. IT is really cool. I cant wait till halo 3 comes out, I have halo 1, 2 and i want to get every single one that comes out!!! I am really good at this game. Even though this game is really easy and the campain is short. I hope they make it a lot longer. They work way to hard on multiplayer.!.! But for new halo players, halo is really really really really really really really really really really cool!!!!!! You will enjoy it really, i am not kidding, and i am really hard to impress like simon on american idol and this impressed me. I spent one day playing it non stop and i mean really really all day. It is like game heaven. The day i got halo i played it a long long time. The weapons are really cool. i mean out of all my games, i always put halo 2 on top of my xbox system so i can always grab it and put it in the game system. And i wont have to search for it.

Halo 2 has good gameplay, great controls, lots of weapons, GREAT GREAT GREAT ( please repeat great for 30 mins then finish reading) multiplayer. The multiplayer is unbelievable, this is a great party game with up to 16 players you could have a 3 day sleepover with your freinds and play this game. The replay value is also great. There were some downsides to it like it was a little on the short side and they kinda left you hanging in the end but that ending i can understand for halo 3 that will be released on the 360. There was one more thing no online co-op mode, they could have done this and in halo 3 i hope they do it, but other than that this game is GREAT a 10 out of 10 and for those who want to know yes you can make a tank fly, yes there is a scarab gun and yes there is a giant soccer ball on the level with the scarab gun ( i would tell you the website its on but i dont want to get sued for copyright stuff sry).

This game is clearly one of the best concived and almost perfectly implemented games ever made!!
The story line is as near perfect as it gets - those people who don't like it, probably just don't get the concept - this is a new way of looking at gaming, it's not just your standard fodder, it's not some production line games company pumping out a quick buck clone - this game is designed to last - it's a community and an evolution.
Bungie have already hidden a great deal of secrets in this game, that once discovered add whole new angles to the enjoyment factor.
Online multiplayer is just remarkable, this isn't a game, it's a way of life!
Bungie are very licky with Halo/Halo 2
What they have is the X factor - this isn't something you can design (just look at Kill Zone, desperatly trying to have the X factor so much that it missed it by a mile)
Halo 2 is already a classic - if not THE classic game.
As with Halo 1, Halo 2 has become the new yardstick with which other games will be judged.

The Guass warthog is by far the best veichel on the game. The flood is not pointles and if you dumb asses would have payed attetion to the story, you would see that Aberitaor went back to the old ring. Halo 2 in my opinion, was the extended version to Halo. Halo 3 will be a new game, new storie, and a new level of gaming. Bungie you did a kick ass job and keep up the good work. Also dual weapons were a major advancement. A plasma pistol in one hand and a smg in the other...DUST. Though the banshee could have used the fuel rod cannon, it still is a machine to be reckoned with. Legenodary difficult setting is to damn hard, But herioc is to damn easy,No in between. The levels when your the covie were a bit to long and repetive, but it still was a good twist on the game. Multiplayer rocks. Online rocks. Brute shot rocks. Pistol rocks.( even thought there is no scope, dual weild makes up for that) New battel rifel rocks. Editing your pro rocks(covie or spartan...NICE). And last but sertainaly not least...Maranda KEYS IS BANGING. BUNGIE IS GOD( not really though).

The most usefull thing that I found anywhere in the game was when I use the sentinel beam to hit you with apowerfull, long range, ability-slowing, constant stream of energy to kill any far enemies. And if the enemy could get close enough to me the last thing they would see would be me flying towrd them with an energy sword doing the unstoppable death-lunge. I loved the music so much I some times play just to hear the music and other sound. it was strange though in the 4th cinematic, when the buildings went by, the graphics SUCKED, while all other graphics ruled. the game did't last as long as I hoped it would. the game play was as good now as megaman was in his time. VERY fun, like the sound of an elite dying in pain as you run him over with the ghost you jacked from him.(how's a taste of your own medicine!) The game is a sequel, so it's not that origionam, after all, there are alot of future first-person alien shooters. the cost ain't so bad now after 1 YEAR! but the game is great an d you should buy it.

This game has amazing improvements over Halo, especially X-Box live. Now, admittedly, the single player campaign was short, and easy, but it still provided about 12 hours of fun, and then lots more if you play on legendary.
The Multiplayer maps, however really brought out the shine of this game. Aside from Coagulation, the maps were innovative, and adaptable to all playing strategies. And, with X-Box live new maps are out, with more on the way.
The plentiful game modes will keep you and you're friends occupied for years. With X-Box live, you whole life may be consumed by Halo 2.
The engine updates all rocked also, aside from the loss of the beloved human pistol *tear* the weapons all kick ass. There are strenghts and weaknesses to every weapon, and literally thousands of stratiegies in weapon selections alone!
I would HIGHLY suggest picking up this game, even if you don't have an X-Box! I think that anyone who sais this game sucks is a game-cube owning cry baby who is just pissed of that his mom won't let him get an M rated game.

But for all the hype bungie gave itself, it was really a lackluster game. Graphic wise it was alright, I've seen better on the xbox. The storyline was very, very mediocre. For all the plot twists the lead writer claimed that it had, it had very few; all of them predictable. The game environments were satisfyingly large, but depressingly similiar to the first Halo. And what's all this buzz about being able to hold duel weapons? Halo 2 didn't set any bars with that function in the game, if anything they're finally catching up to standard. Duel weapons has been the norm for games dating all the way back to Rise of the Triad (3D Realms, 1994). All through the game Cortana interjects "witty" comments to the Spartan II that totally detract from gameplay, because the comments she makes are annoying and anything but funny. In brief, Halo 2 was basically the first Halo with different weapons. With all the "new" things Halo 2 introduced to their game, all they did was play catch up to the rest of the gaming world.

The best part of Halo2 is being aloud to take over enemy vehicles,having teamates drive cars and having new vehicles/weapons.You can also roam around and select levels which most games don't do!Still there is 1 thing the makers of the game should have done and that's make it so when you shoot your enemy in the head blood shoots out from from the neck everywhere!

If you get it get the 2-disc special edition.the ending to halo 2 was a big cliff hanger.which i hate. if you dont like spoilers stop reading this review right now! okay here goes. the master chiefs ending went like this. the chief is in the engine of a ship that the prophet of truth is on.i dont know his name but the old guy in the suit at the beginning of the game radios the chief and asks him what he is doing.the chief responds,finishing this fight.the elites ending goes like this. tartarus is killed an halo is about to activate and start remote detonation.

You should have more fun then me. I think it is fun still. It is kool how banshees are in multi player and how you can be a alien, I might go play it some more but I still don't know, It looked somewhat cool when my brother was playing it and I see that the flood has returned and the aliens are in slavery, I don't know what you think about the game but you should give it a shot anyways and not buy it because of what I am saying right now. And I think you might enjoy it even more then I did but I still battle my friends in it every so often in the multi player, I'm usually the master chief. I think it is a good game but I don't personally think it is cut out to be ultra super game of the year like the first one is, sometimes, things that add to a game can be bad, or not good.

There I was just getting into the build up to a huge ending, and that was it - finished! What a complete and utter let down. Yes, it did leave it open for the third episode, but someone ought to teach them how to write a cliffhanger.
Apart from that it was not much different to the original. Yes, the dual wield was ok, but certainly nothing new, and what happened to all the exciting new weapons and vehicles. And playing the game on earth - yes for all of about ten minutes. The rest could have been straight out of the original. And what is the flood all about - absolutely pointless. Can Bungie try and bring some new enemies into the game, instead of just fobbing us off with the old ones.
Yes, I did enjoy playing as an elite, and yes it was different to the first, but come on! There was so much opportunity to make more out of this than they actually have. We want more from a sequel. Not at all what I was expecting

I don't like playing alone, so I only play the co-op or multiplayer. Problem with Halo 2 is that the point of view (aka field of view) is too small on split screen. This makes it VERY hard to see what's going on, and can be extremely frustrating. Level design isn't great, pretty reduntant and a lot of narrow tunnles. I was also hoping for something a bit more original than "another Halo." The dark levels are particularly annoying because as master chief your LIGHT WON'T STAY ON! Dual weilding is cool, but is kind of a pain because you can't melee attack or switch weapons without dropping your off-hand weapon. Everybody else has said how lame the story/ending is so I won't get into that. Lighting effects and sound are cool, and the music is awesome. Multiplayer is really good if you're on system link or XBL, but playing on split screen has the same problem as co-op. 4 player split screen is almost impossible to play because your weapon takes up half the screen. Like I said, it's fun, but I don't know what took them 4 years for this. It's not THAT good.

Although the graphics were phenominal, i was hoping for a few better vehicles, and guns, yea more alien weapons, but it wasn't as great as i expected. I also didnt like the idea of have o be an elite so long, i mean yea the first time is fine, but then they kept switching you between them, for example i would get into being master cheif and then a clip saying you must follow the blue moniters instructions and defeat the flood. And why are they back anyway, i always found them as a pain!I did like the fact tht the hunters ahve bigger orange spots, and if u like to get personal with a shotgun they are easy prey! Multipliayer is also wonderful, but i think it could use a few more unique battlegrounds. I didnt really like the upgrades with the warthogs tho, it was either treds, machine gun, or cannon, and the sensitivity made it so you cant just play around and do donuts on accident and stuff. Other thhan that i think the game was great, and can't wait to see if a halo 3 comes out!

Dual Weilding BRILLIANT! talk about taking enemies out fast.My favorite thing is how they put a scope on the main gun you use throuout the game. now you dont have to be brething down the enemies neck to kill them,just zoom in and POW their dead. I also liked that scorpion tank reloads the cannon much faster. one bad thing about dual weilding is that u have to drop your gun to melee. But other than that this game was great. ALso a new and good twist to this game is you get to be an elite. My favorite Alien level was the one where the covenant,marines,and flood were all fighting at the same time. One of the other things i liked were the graghics, they were realistic. Like when you kill an enemy on a slope, they will roll down it. I thought that was cool. I also thought the sound was great. for example, when you and the marines are fighting together their guns sound different depending on how close you are to them. I also liked that there were more levels and they were longer. More gameplay= better game. In other words great game Bungie. im hoping for a Halo 3.

I beat halo 2 in no time at all and I've beaten every level on every difficulty. It's not that hard. The graphics are great don't get me wrong. I liked playing as the arbiter too. Especially with his cloaking device…ehehehehh… The game was fun until I beat it then it's kind of boring. Now I play multiplayer on Xbox Live, which may I say, I SO SWEET!!!!!!!!The flood made another appearance, but I don't understand why. They just came out of nowhere and started attacking you.The banshee and scorpion tank in Halo 2 are awesome I love them. The new battle rifle rocks along with the covenant beam rifle. I think that halo 2 is just a major setup, or a beta test for halo 3.
Multiplayer is fun, but I think the maps are too big for 4 or less people. The profile editing for multiplayer is sweet though. My master chief looks awesome :).
On the final level, The Great Journey, the end boss could have been more difficult. It took like 2 minutes to beat him.Overall Halo 2 is a good game, but it could have been better.
| THE ABSELUTELY THE BEST GAME SO FAR....... | | Tryce Blaser from Monticello, USA says (16/May/2006): | Halo 2 i would say is the best game so far... but what will Halo 3 be even better? only time will tell.but out of every console that is out there the best game SO FAR!!is "!HALO 2!" i love the campaign the story line is pretty good except for the ending..its really mest up...i mean what the crap is "THE ARK"!?!?!?!?! and why is there like 7 other halos floating around that the oracle says is the "other constalations"?!?!?and 1 last thing.about the mutiplayer..its great when ur playing against other people..but why cant u play against computers on multiplayer...and why would the creators of the game but a legendary difficulty on there...its like impossible to beat.i cant even beat the grunts when its on legendary. i love this game in almost every way. i love how u can jump on to other peoples ghosts and bashees and steal them.the duel weilding is awesome and the new weapons r great like the brute shot and energy sword. and when u r the arbiter the camoflage comes in very handy. i just wish that when u r the arbiter that the camoflage doesnt run out like the elites on campaign mode

But slightly disapointed... :( | | A gamer from Geneva, USA says (14/Jun/2006): | While the game's single player campaign was exciting due to the missions played on earth, i am very disappointed to once again see things in certain trailers thet weren't in the game. For anyone who saw it, there was a trailer featuring an actual FPS view point but that incredible mission isn't even in the game!!!! Altogether it leaves you on a huge cliffhanger that never happens. Another small dissapointment, which just recently came to my attention is how the small guide book (which comes in the inside cover of the game) tells you that you can use shadows which i have not come across, (at least the driver's seat).The missions featuring the Arbiter leave me bittersweet. Im not sure i like the change here in the campaign but his camo and allies are quite a cool addition. The game's multiplayer is AMAZING!!! Especially Xbox live which i have only played at a friends house. Anyone who says it is not has no idea what a good FPS is. I encourage all of you to get your copy of halo 2 (if you dont already have it) and watch the trailer for number 3 :D. I hope my review helped you!

Should have better sniper rifles. Needs more warthogs and troop transporter vehicles to where you can carry about five to six people and have 3 turrets. you should be able ride on the tanks while somebody else drives like in halo 1. It just needs a lot more like all the stuff I just listed, then the game would be really awesome. You should be able to drive the shadows it that sucked because your were allowed to use the turrets. It needs alot more to do to your guy that's all have to say. Everybody is probably wanting to be able to do all that and do all that to your guy. That my opinion in what halo 3 should be like. Needs new weapons. Needs better storylines. Should let you play your own custom soundtracks or no. I think these were the best for the xbox. You should puy some of the multiplayer from both ganes and put them in the third game.
