Loved the game, great game, but bad ending. I didn't really feel like I accomplished as much as I did at the end of the first game. I had no closer as the credits rolled by and in a way I felt cheated. But the cryptic poem thing after the credits was pretty cool so make sure you watch them all the way through. The game over all was amazing but I'm still pissed about the ending! The story, like in the first, was great but just the way that it finished this game... Oh well... guess I'll go start Heroic now...

I want my own battle rifle!!!!! I not going to spoil it for you kids, the story is amazing and better than that, the action, when you're running about and all of a sudden you forget it's actually a game cause all you're thinking about is potential targets! Brilliant. You turn it on, you have an action packed 10 - 15 minutes getting used to the chief.. then arnie would have trouble keeping up. Ladies, he's faster! he jumps higher! he'd dance if the armour allowed! But more than all of this is the fact it feels sooooo good to play... Multiplayer maps, just checkout coagulation and zanzibar! and if you go through the game in heroic and so on... you get more!

The weapons are too big and the screen Field Of View (FOV) is too small in this version of the game.
Having played many Halo Nights with friends where we connect 4 Xboxes via Ethernet to play 16 player Halo, I am REALLY DISAPOINTED with the game play in Halo 2. It is nearly UNPLAYABLE in the tiny 1/4 screen.
Sure the graphics a better but the game play SUCKS if one CAN’T SEE. I'd rather have reduced polygon characters and less textures and have a fun, PLAYABLE game.
The map selection screen also got rid of the map size information. This is also disappointing.

this game is great and i got it the day it came out only to find its faulty and full of glitches so im taking it back tomorrow to see if the new one i get has the same problems. if any of u experiance glitches dont turn a blind eye, let me know to c if we have the same problems, or take it back which is wat im doing for a fresh copy! anyways while putting up with the glitches until i take it back, its a real cool game! but the humans dont look suprised at all when the covenant find earth it was weird there was a cutscene and all of a sudden they sed covenant attacking and the captian looked like he was expecting it and sed defensive positions without saying anything you'd expect like "OH MY GOD HOW DID THEY FIND US! THIS IS TERRIBLE" that was a big dissapointment anyways if u experiance a glitch take it back- happy gaming!

Halo 2, in my opinion, was quite a dissappointment. For a first person shooter, it wasn't a bad game. But for all the hype bungie gave itself, it was really a lackluster game. Graphic wise it was alright, I've seen better on the xbox. The storyline was very, very mediocre. For all the plot twists the lead writer claimed that it had, it had very few; all of them predictable. The game environments were satisfyingly large, but depressingly similiar to the first Halo. And what's all this buzz about being able to hold duel weapons? Halo 2 didn't set any bars with that function in the game, if anything they're finally catching up to standard. Duel weapons has been the norm for games dating all the way back to Rise of the Triad (3D Realms, 1994). All through the game Cortana interjects "witty" comments to the Spartan II that totally detract from gameplay, because the comments she makes are annoying and anything but funny. In brief, Halo 2 was basically the first Halo with different weapons. With all the "new" things Halo 2 introduced to their game, all they did was play catch up to the rest of the gaming world.

Halo 2 is so awsome you climb on enemies vehicles and like put a grenade in them.Well i think they should make a movie or something else becuase i like the scenes in each level.the most favorite one i ever saw was the one where spartan gave back the enemies bomb then took off in the fire then flew back all the way.Im stuck on a level where you fight zombies its too hard
you get a shotgun and kill them till there heads come off lol.
but after the hard part theres a very severe hard part kill zombies toooooooooooooooooooo hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halo 2 is the best i just got it 4 my system and it is awsome!!! im in love with that game it rocks. i am already on lvl 7. its kinda easy. but its really hard in some ways too.i totally reccomend this game to everyone.but watch out for the energy swords that a lot of the aliens have. but u can counter em easy with the covanent carbine. or the duel plasma rifle and needler.it is the BEST GAME EVER!!! U ALL SHOULD REALLY GET IT FOR X BOX. OR WHEN IT COMES OUT ON CPU!! HAVE A NICE DAY!!

This game is the best you need to fight the flood again:( you could be the covenent and turn invisible once in a while theres more vehicles like speture(cov.warthog),wraith(annoying thing that shots bomb from part one),Shadow(cov.tank)and a warthog with a rocket launcher. more guns like cov.carbine,particle beam rifle,bruteshot,cov.energysword,fuel rod gun.If you buy da limited edition(i got it)you get abuy 1 halo2 slurpee get one free.you get free xbox live for 2months you get a metal case special features disc+game(fits 2 disc):).(game)theres longer game play same missions.you dont have to drive anymore others can do it(dont let them though they get stuck)you could hold 2 light weapons you have to fight Prophets 3 of them Regret,Truth,and Mercy (in order) if you dont get this game you wont know what your missing. Well yesterday i beat halo 2 on legendary. The Game was the best thing sense... uhhhhhh....ummmm... well ok forget that its just plain awesome. But the ending could have been better. Wher it just left u hangin, wonderin wut the hell that thing was talkin to cortana was plain mean makin people wonder, and then u dont even know how the final fight on earth goes cuz the game ends. Bungie shoulda put a lil more work into the end and given a lil more of the story line. Even after all that they didnt add as much as they said they would on bungie.com. First ther wasnt 4 warthogs only 2 and ther wasnt an ATV and well thers tons more stuff but ull have to find that out on ur own cuz this is startin to bore me so peace out til the next halo!!!

i already beat halo 2 it was really easy but really fun the flood is still hard and there is new ppl that hit u hard....all in all this game kicks a$$ and i would suggest it to n e one... i havent got to play multiplayer but i see that everyone accept 1 or 2 are different... i played with my body on co-op and it really didnt challage me on normal but when i put it on ledgedary it kick butt and i loved the ending it tells u that theres gonna be another one well g2g halo 2 rocks
P.S. Cant wait until HALO 3

I just beat the game, & i felt all proud of myself because it took me 3 days to beat the game, and i didnt even turn off my XBOX.They say the best part of a story is the ending for Halo2 it was the action and the diversity. The ending was so gay that it ruined the rest of the good points about this game.Heres pretty much what happens, master chief is in a forerunner ship and he says that hes going to end the war(earth is getting the crap bombed out of it) then they pretty much just cut you off. So naturally Im playin it on legendary to see if theres an alternate ending.

Yeah, the game is awesome with it's expansive maps and better weapons, but I think it's too short.
I know the game came out on the 9th but I got it on the 7th (because Im awesome like that!) but I beat the game in less than a day. Though the game does go deeper into the story about why the forerunners built the sacred rings and it answered many questions that you may have had about the first one.
I am currently trying to beat the last level on legendary, but I'm with another covenant elite in a tank who doesn't know who he's firing at, and a guy whos driving me around and he doesn't know where hes going, so Ihave to get off and find another ride and then I get shot and die. So its not hard just difficult!

The hype is right, this game is just darn good. This game easily rivals the first and is still just as challenging. Here's a tip for anyone playing it, that odd elevator level take the lift down to the bottom and hang out by the red *blocked* door, If you wait just long enough it opens without warning. Some of the keys have changed since you can now do that double gun trick, but other than that its the same config. Nice to keep some things the same. The cut scene's are exelent as usuall, and a heck of a lot more detailed than with the first Halo. I didn't think you could get any better, I was VERY wrong.
Thank you Bungie/Microsoft, this game is the BEST.

Finished this in two days, should've taken longer and the storyline cut out straight in the middle of it. Not as good as the first one, graphics are heaps better though. The multiplayer levels and options are unreal, not that i have LIVE, but if you do im sure you're having a great time. That's another problem though, its hard to play a lot of the multiplayer levels four player cause they're just too big. The old machine gun is missed too, the battle rifle is pretty good but sometimes you need to slog it out and the smgs you need to concentrate on the aiming too much. Anyway, go buy it, the storyline is close to exactly the same but its still good. The covenant missions are fun too.

halo 2 is fun and all but it didnt live up to the hype.
man how lame.. they said halo 2 would revolution gaming.. it didnt... halo did. but its hard for a game to live up to be a sequel to halo. gta is better game.i mean halo was still $40 until nov. 9. thats HOW GOOD IT IS!!! this is how the big games compare.
GTA:SA > Halo > Halo 2 > Killzone

If you have an xbox and you dont have this game yet... you should be slapped... This game has got to be the best game to come out for xbox since its creation. This game has so many new details to be noticed and the multiplayer is kick < remove me > at $$.... you can actually be the covenant in multiplayer mode which makes it more fun cuz instead of killing another master chief now you can kill your friend the elite. This game will no doubt win game of the year for years to come.
if you dont have this yet make sure to go out to the store and GET ONE.. .you will be happy you did.

HALO 2 is the best game out there right now. It takes what people loved about the first and makes it better. You are able to steal vehicles and destroy so much more than in the first game. The one down side to the game is that unlike in the first game where you could master one certain gun and be alright with the rest; in this game you must be able to master them all or you will get owned and some point. The graphics and movies throughout the game are exceptional. The multiplayer of course is the best around, and the game itself has been updated so that you are able to do any action physically possible to a human, even if that is jumping 50ft off a bridge onto a giant mechanical spider.

Halo 2 is great the best game i have played in a wile the graphices are alsome. There is one thang i don't like about the game and that is the screen option own co-op you can't see very well i have looked all threw the game but i can't find where to change it. I like the idea that you can play the covenit and master chief. the story line is OK i like it and the vhicles are better and there is a bigger variaty too. I can't wait to play it on line with other people that idea is great. the levels are a lot better in this on than in the original Halo. Well I have one level to go so i am going to go back to that so play you best and have fun see ya.

If you love shooting games then it is definetly worth the two-hundred dollars. You can now be an alien elite while playing split screen and use their camofluage. you can also be the elite during missions. its the bomb as$ sh!t!!!! the rest is just nonsense . This is si cool! The monsters are so stinken ugly, that the players can't stand to look at them! Although the graphics are 110% better than any other game for the XBox system. Maybe I'll have a chance to be a pro. at designing a system for all ages to play and make millions!(exagerating) So, once again I have seen another acomplished game that I truly love! Best of all I don't even have Halo2; I just like to compliment things. Let's hope their will be a Halo 3 and 4 and 5 and 6 and 7 and 8...
