Fable Is The Best Game Ever But Too Short |

Fable was quite possibly the best game I have played yet. It had everything a good game should have and more. Don't get me wrong here though there was signifagant room for improvements. There should have been more Weapons and Armours as well as quests. The Game it self was very short. Perhaps there should have been enough quests to beat in order to max your character or even a special set of quests for the end during continous play. Or maybe If the arena had the ability to be beat more than once. I don't know, It was a great game although Improvements should be made, definatly hoping for a second Fable or even some type of expansion.

I have finished the game twice. As Good and as Evil. If you do every Quest, you can make the most out of the game. I don't understand why other reviewers thought that this game is "Not what I expected" the game is one of the best xbox game I've ever played. If you rush through any game it will most of the time be the most crap game you've played. If you are evil, horns will grow out of your head and people will be scared of you. If good, a halo is on top of your head and people will be attracted to you. You can also be attracive when you're pure evil if you wear the right clothes. I hope others can enjoy the game in the same way as I did.

i have never played a game this good . i play it every day nearly all day . graphics,good story,good nearly everything,good if anyone has any cheats for mega money please send to my email address , i am hoping to marry lady grey and buy the solus greatsword (2nd strongest weapon in game) i think it is annoying when you finally rescue your mother after the first attempt where you get captured. your mother gets captured again after going to the guild annoying huh ,well thats all for today,,

Fable, a great game! It has good graphics, though could be a bit longer, you can choose the dark path of evil, or the bright path of the good, either way, it will affect the reactions of those around you---and how you look, this game is great IMO, I like a lot of things about it, I recently bought it because people said it was GREAT and so I thought hey I am gonna buy it, I am happy I bought it, there is side quests, and interesting things, especially since there is a lot of alternative paths you can choose when your playing, this game you can be a Willpowerful Wizard, a Strong Brave Swordsman, or a Rogue Archer, you can find Demon Doors, and unlock special legendary items.
Remember, every action has it's own consequence.

Overall Fable is a fun game (especially when you get drunk and throw up in people's houses :) ) The graphics were not all that great but were pretty good for an Xbox game. The gameplay wa fun as you could choose between good or evil. The quests were too short, that is true but don't wiz threw the game, have fun with it. Find all the silver keys, get married, rob traders, get people drunk and then rob thier shops, walk around town in your underwear... I don't know use your imagination. Some things that would be cool for improvement would be...
1) To have a horse (a great hero needs a great stede) and have the horse change with your personality (for example if you are a goody two-shoes the horse becomes white if you are evil the horse turns black with red eyes)
2) Add towns with different races (such as Orcs, Elfs, Halflings...ect)and you can create your character as such
3) More armour and weapons
4) Become known in different towns (for example if you are evil, one town is inhabitied by good people, you walk in they are afraid of you while the other town inhabitied by evil people cheer you)
5) The legendary weapons should posses you or augment to your personality. Like if you get a weapon owned by someone evil you become more evil.
6) Legendary armour would be nice.

It's a great game, the only bad thing is that thousands of people set spoilers of it on forums and other. The only thing that irritates me is the moaning of the man...eww... Could be more erotic if you ask me...Anyway, I've heard there is coming a new game of Fable (Fable: The lost chapters) for pc(date unknown, price around $19,99) and Xbox(Around september for $19.99). I'm gonna buy that part to, yet i hope the new game is better then the current one. I'm also hoping there will be a jump option..I'm jealous of Wisper and the balverines..

i think it is the best game yet that i've played because you get to be good or bad whatever you choose, but i think that when you become bad with horns on your head you should get special abilities such as death or convert, but when you become good you should be able to heal others and you should get a halo or angel wings same as when your bad you should get a tail and devil wings but i agree with others that there should be a fable 2 or an expansion were you get more quest, powers, armour, and weapons and you should be able to pick from male or female +when you become bad the bandits that are wild (not in twin blades camp) should not attack you unless you hit one of them.

Fable: The Lost Chapters is out on pc but it will be coming out for xbox soon (hopefully) as an avide fable player this sounds amazing because there are more weapons, more clothes, more quests, and more areas keep an eye out for it it's out for pc (i think) and for xbox it's coming out in platinum so it'll cost 20 bucks. there are a lot of web sites that contain info on this www.1up.com is where i found most of my info. just look it up it looks like its going to add the stuff that everyones been complaining about (Stuff like making it longer).

i beat the game it was a little short but i was good im working on beating it being bad but the graphocs was a 10 the gameplay was i 10 everything was a 10 on this game its my fav game other than gta san andreas i would def racamend this game to ppl the easiest way to beat "jake of blades" is juss take down all of those enemies he sends at you then then do ur attack were ur sord is flaming a couple timesthen he will go in the air if ur will is good do that but if ur like arcary shot at him ignore the eneimies he sends

Fable was THE game of my dreams. It had everything: Allignment, Marriage, Sex, Alcohol, Secrets. I have beaten it over and over with good and bad. I have had my anti-xbox friends play it and they LOVE it. They could add some things to it though:
-Children. If you have sex, maybe you can become a father? And whatever your allignment is, maybe your kids may become also.
-Bigger areas. Like towns, mostly. All the towns are small (with an exception for Bowerstone...). The "woods" are pretty big, but they're the only things that ARE big.
-Genders. Its awsome that you have a male character (who, by the way, looks A-W-E-S-O-M-E with horns...), but what about the girls? It would be sweet if you got to choose a female character. If she were good, maybe she'd look like a Valkyrie. If she were evil, perhaps a sexy Succubus.
-Attack Skills. What good RPG game can't go without attack skills? Combos, magical sword attacks, ect. would be better. Don't just keep your support spells!
-Legendary Armor. If you have legendary weapons, you MUST have legendary armor. It's a part of the "Legendary Code"!
-Spouse training. It would be weird, but maybe also cool if you got your spouse to train and fight with you. Dress them up, give them weapons...Your alignment would be their alignment.
-More Weapons. They have a great variety alrieady, but it's just different types! Swords: Long Sword, Katana, Cleaver, Greatsword. That's what I mean. We should be able to have Spears, Flails, Wands, Staves, Double-Bladed weapons, Knuckles, ect.

fable has become a big hit and its not even out yet. think of it this way in a normal game if you destroy your world you eather start over,reload,switch players,esc but in fable if you destroy your world completly you take you memory card and go to a friends house and load your character into there world as a completly new person.which comes in handy if your considered an ass in your world. i will probably be the first in line to buy the game the second it hits the shelvs.
plus in most games there is an invisible wall or some thing else to block you from getting far away from the action but not in this game. i have bin going to many web sites and seen many things on fable and the amount of work gone into this game is overwhelming. you can gem up items to make it more powerful i think i even read that there is a frying pan that you can jem up which is kind of weird but funny.
thats all i have to say so go buy that game now!!!!!!!!!!!!

I personally don't know how i could be writing a review, (the games not out yet). But Halo is God. This game will be comparable to Halo and maybe even Halo 2. I have no idea what these other two pricks wrote about, but it sure wasn't this game or Halo. It will be 3rd person, but it will be fricking awesome, You literally shape the future of the game, and literally shape your character. You will even view the world with real time fricken' shadows. I mean, come on, what more could you ask for without being a complete prick.

Fable sounds so cool! I'm planning on going out and buying an X-Box just for this game. I heard a few rumors about it; I have no idea if they're true. One place said you can have multiplayer, with one person being the hero and one the sidekick, and that you can take your character on your memory card to another friends game, and stick him in there. I also heard you can have a guy or girl, but I don't think that one's true. It'd be cool though. I know you can kill townspeople, and that's the best.

I heard of this game online, and it was SUPPOSE to have every action change the world. What world???? In an hour i had already seen the whole world. I beat the game within 1 freaking day. Should have had more quests, side quest, and like they promised that every action changed the world. It was a good game with great graphics, but the reason i bought it was that it was suppose to be my own fable. Create my own game, that can never be the same twice. What happened to that???? Now if they created this game like final fantasy where there are more than one disc, and the story goes on with the ability to change it, and the environment, that would have been awesome.

Lionhead studio's masterpiece rpg was long expected to be the best of the best. However, once released the feeling was of dissapointment.
The game however is anything but dissapointing. The story follows a young lad who grows to become a great hero. The sense of freedom in the game is its greatest asset, allowing the player to wander the paths, forests and streets of Albion as much or as little as one wants. The ability to purchase and rent out buildings offers the player with the chance to become a roaming real estate tycoon, spending his riches on expensive weapons or expanding their property collection. Other players may wish to go on evil rampages wiping out whole villages and watching their inhabitants slowly develop back into a thriving city.
The other major game feature is the character development system. This is one of the main features in the game and works very well. For example, if you kill an innocent villager you will develop to be evil, but if you save a village from bandits you will become good. Every decision you take affects your moral status and your appearance also alters over time to reflect this.
The graphics in the game are great with decent lighting effects and the sound provides a good atmosphere during the tense action combat.
The story may be short, however there is plenty more to be getting on with in the vast worlds. Mini games and sidequests can be mastered and relationships with villagers can be forged and broken.
A game such as this could only ever be dissapointing to industry specialists because of the huge and underserved hype that surrounded it. If the game had a surpise release and no one had ever heard of it before i think the reviews out there would be much better and the word "dissapointing" would never even have been considered. Don't be a sheep and follow the mags, buy it for yourself.

For all the hype XBOX put on Fable, it was a complete let down. After only 10 hours of playing, the game was done. Sure, you can continue after you win, but what is the point? i guess if this was the first RPG that XBOX had, it would be ok...but with games like Morrowind and Dark Alliance, this game rates very low. Overall, it was fun to play but no where near the expetations.

I bought the xbox because of project ego now called Fable and Halo. They first anounced Project ego would be released March 2001 and here we are September 2003 with the release date of "winter 2004". How in the world can a release date be off by 3 years? Has anyone actually seen the game in action? I can't find a single artical that says they have seen it in action - only pictures and graphics. Can a game like the one they claim to have even be built on the xbox? I have KOTOR "which is awesome" but it gets choppy every now and then and the grapics on Fable look like it will blow KOTOR away.
So my question is this - was the game fable/ project ego a hoax just to sell xbox's?

My title sums it up. I had been waiting for Fable for a long time and I was eagerly anticipating the release date. I was in for many suprises and many disapointments. The first thing I noticed was that the grphics were brilliant, the world looked very realistic. However, overall the game was far too short, I completed it twice in 3 days. However hard i tried, I could not make the game last longer the 13-15 hours. When I read all the reviews I was expecting a long, vast game like morrowind. The storyline is very good but it is pretty much the only thing you can do on the game, follow the storyline. In my opinion that is not what I wanted to do, I wanted to create my own story... like the game developers promised. Appart from these bad things, the rest of the game is good. Despite its short length, the huge amount of detail that has gone into the developement of the towns and people had me stunned. e.g. Children will go to school, have break times, then go home. People will have a certain job which they will carry out everyday. Then at the end of the day they go to pubs. The NPC's inside the towns have their own lives and the world evolves around the main player.
So overall, the game is worth buying, even though it is short, it provides those hours of fun. I can only hope that they bring out a Fable 2, which will contain what many gamers out there have dreamt of and expected of fable
