Rollercoasted to the top of my list | | Bryce Young from New Zealand says (29/Aug/2003): | An excellent and fun game. It takes a bit of understanding at first but after a few runs you get the hang of it and steadily it becomes very addictive. As for that first guy who gave it a review.. he obviously has a bung computer because this game is excellent and way better than theme park!
| A few flaws but not bad. | | Philip from Ft. Worth Tx. says (9/Aug/2003): | I think this game is not bad but it does need some improvements. Thats really where the expansion packs come through. If you do get it or if you have Rollercoaster Tycoon I'd recommend you to get at least the Corkscrew Follies Expansion Pack to brighten things up. But don't get me wrong its a great addicting game. Thats why I think it should be 7. On the otherhand Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 is a great game I would give it a 10.
| Not bad | | Erin from East Amherst, New York, USA says (17/Aug/2003): | I would give Rollercoaster Tycoon a score of eight because it is really addicting! I have played it so much that I have figured out a lot of cool things to do. In my opinion, the game, like most say, could use a bit of improving, such as a larger selection of rides and attractions. But again, the expansion packs are really handy for updating that kind of stuff. The graphics are generally okay, they work really well. It's sad when the people drown, though! This game is really fun and addicting but still could use a little more in the sound department, though. When I first bought the game, I was totally confused. I had no idea it would be so complicated. But the more I played the game, the more I learned and I increasingly got better at it. Besides, no one's an expert the first time they play a game, anyway. I caught on quickly and I've been addicted ever since! All my friends play it, too, and have a lot af fun- like me. I love the different styles of rollercoasters and I always mix and match with the different cars and colors and tracks. For instance, I could put the spinning cars on a steel coaster and make each car a different color. With this game, you can really use your imagination. Another example to be creative: you can build your own coaster! However you want to make it, be it a single circle or a maze of twisted tracks, the guests will have tons of fun!
| A colossal bore! | | Rich from Riverside RI USA says (25/Aug/2003): | This is how video games should not be made! I was so bored by it's slow gameplay and the dull graphics. A kindergarden art class can do a better job than that! It looked overworked and dull. They took a giant step backwards when they made this one. I had no bright moments with this frustrating excuse for a game! Other games such as Theme park make sense, but this one is very difficult to understand. I cannot give this any less than one star. If zero was a option, then I would be giving it the
rating it really deserves!
