Hard to believe that this is better than TW2003... |

But it is - BY A MILE. All of the different game modes, courses and what-not make TW2004 a very successful heir of the throne in the "best golf game" category. The controls and overall feel of TW2004 is very similar to 2003 but now there is a purpose for actually staying away from cheat codes. It's called GAME FACE and folks, believe the hype about it because it is absolutely the most thorough character generation option every created in a video game. You can change everything - Hair style, color, how big your head is, how fat you are - I was able to create myself PERFECTLY and watching myself celebrate my first birdie was one of the most entertaining moments I've had with a video game in a long time, because of how accurate I was able to make GAME FACE make my character look.
The only drawback is that color commentator Bill McAtee is no longer doing overdubs. Instead, they've got this exceptionally whiney guy who is a real annoyance. Fortunately though, David Feherty is back again and he like always is the consummate professional, mixing humor with very usable commentary. And EA always does the commentary well - I've sank fairway shots based on what the announcers have had to say and you'll find that the overdubs in this game area accurate and appropriate as well.
All in all though, this is the one golf game that NO ONE should turn down. If you're skeptical then just rent it and when 6 AM comes and your thumbs are about to bleed, you'll know two things. First is that golf is one of the greatest and most elegant sports ever created, and two is that only the Tiger Woods franchise could've made you this addicted.

Now lets me start by saying tw2004 is much improved since last year however there are still things missing. The most obvious being the easiest of game play. At least on last years you wouldn't be leading a tournament the whole time, they would take the lead from you at the begining of each day. Now you go -14 on the first day and thats it no looking back not one of the other golfers will get below -11. I have yet to win a tournament by less then 35 shots, and i've played 6, not even tiger keeps up. After the world tour is "dominated", which also lacks in difficulty, your last challenge is against Tiger himself. He was the only one that caused me to bite my finger nails at all. Also by this time your stats are full yes all 110% of them. Then you get to play 10 seasons of the eastiest tour play ever, for what? Clothes? You can only buy so many and the ones you do own are mixed with the ones you dont causing you to scroll through seemingly endless lists of short sleeved polos the the same long sleeved ones then outerwear that lacks in appeal. The jackets look very tight, nothing i would want to play golf in and always tucked in, its a game come on make it fun. The hardest part of the game was finding the passwords to unlock Cederic "the entertainer" and the tournament for the "can you beat me" tracking tiger ball. Its only fun to win if you cant do it every time, or its at least chanllenging to do it.

I don't know about y'all, but my husband and I found this game to be one of the best sports games of 2004!!! The games fluid, easy to learn, not too easy to play, fun at every turn kept us staying up past our bedtimes :)! Everything about this game spells perfection for EA Sports, it's just another example of EA Sport's expert precision with sports games. Tiger Woods PGA 2004 is challenging, with tons of options, including the ever coveted ability to create you very own Golfer! The scenery is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! There are tons of golf courses, world tours, and real time events to choose from. The money earned works toward making your Golfer better and better, and you character is highly customizable. The music is great, as with all EA games. We particularly liked the ability to play against others. Now we can kick our friends butts at a really, truly, great game!
In Short, this game is a must have for any sports fan, weather you liked golf previously or not. Y'all get it! GO TIGER!

I don’t even like golf, but for some odd reason I was wanting to purchase this game. I’m glad I did. This has some awesome game play to it. I have over heard some real golf players say it’s kind of easy! However to me it’s a treat! I enjoy a game (Any game) that can up a challenge and this is what this game does. Some of the holes are real easy, why some are (Punch your T.V.) hard. The graphics are good, but could use a little more work… but hey it works for me. The overall game is just awesome, with all the choices it gives you! And a Cool season mode along with real time calendar events, it almost makes you look over the no online support. Want my Suggestion? Go get this game or if you hate golf, go rent it! You’ll end up buying it…. It’s that addicting… I’m hooked!

When I first heard that EA was coming out with TW PGA Tour 2004, I wondered what could be better than '03. I had heard that the game play was changed etc. I was sceptical at first but when I loaded the game and saw all the old 2003 courses, plus great new ones like Bethpage Black, Pinehurst #2 and Bay Hill I was ecstatic. Then I saw alll the new features like equipment, clothing, and even jewlery. You can even buy the newest Nike golf shoes. Cooler than all these options though is the new EA game face. I had a character golfing that looked just like me in minutes. This game is the greatest.

this game is awsome because the graphics,things you can do the fun.i recomend this game to anyone who plays video games.but the smart thing to do is too rent this game before you buy it, just in case.but this is not the best game ever but it definently is the best golf video game ever.no question about it.but hold up, when you get the cheats for it it gets even better.you can get the master cheat,it unlocks courses,clubs,watches,neckleces and tatoos.but my favorite is the shoes.this game is the bomb yo!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome game. Maybe it's awesome because it is easy for me. I don't like that it does not challenge you more, but it is fun to win a tournament at -60. It does take some skill, but once you master the club selections, the wind adjustment and the spin, you too could be birdieing almost every hole. Ive done it once on a 18 hole corse. The new graphics the break dancing celebrations are funny and tight, the user control is enhanced and enjoy every minute spent on this game. 100% worth the $50.00 Buy it today. It is so TIGHT! Good Luck.

From re-creating yourself... to buying the best in golfing threads... this game has it all.... you get to buy all the latest equipment and accesories from the best brand names in golf... the addition of tour sponsorship and the date related games.... make it a hard sports sim to beat... Battle golf is a cool and sneaky mode were you can steal a club form your opponent every time you win ahole.... its already caused some funny situiations in my apartment (playing a par5 with just a SW !!!) Buy it... still here go buy it !!!!

come on EA your starting to lose a fan of all ea sports games tiger is a lot of fun for the first week but after you max out your player give me a break i lead the tour in every stat except one i finsh turnaments 50-60 under par (the rest of the field comes in around 10 under) the only reason this game gets as high as a five is that you can play against your friends who are also 110's and make it fun. My best advice is to rent it for a week to 10 days and if you sre not board then spend the 50 bucks but i bet you wont...

This game is such of pile of $#< remove me > at !, I get so fed up with getting on the green, and having no assistance at all except for that stupid grid that I couldnt stand on Tiger woods 2001, and still cant stand now, but at least in 2001 there were little dotes that told you how much the hill slanted, and how fast.
What happend, I dont know if there is a difference between the X box and the PC, but The X box 2003 was an awesome game, this 2004 for the PC is a big wast of money, and a pile of $#< remove me > at !

After playing on TW 2003 for hours and hours, i thought i wouldn't get that addicted to TW 2004, oh how wrong I am.
I was expecting just a few updates to the classic TW 2003 but there is oh so much more, "World Tour", "Seasons" and being able to create yourself as a player with all the new equipment etc. Already suffering from sore red eyes and lack of sleep, you know exactly what I mean..
Makes you wonder what they could possibly add to TW 2005, if there is going to be one.

Tiger Woods 2004 is THE best game in the series by far. This game has added new courses and each one is better than the previous. The gameplay is much smoother now and you have the options of building your own character and giving him the most specific attributes. Buying your own golf balls, sunglasses, shafts and apparel are just a few things that are new. If you're determining whether or not to get this game, allow me to help. GET IT!

I agree, it is to easy, but when playing against a friend or family it is perfect! You do have family and friends don't you? Also, I wish my daughter could play in the same PGA Tour so we could prove who is the best! (I am) I do land in invisible sand traps and splash invisible water now and then - but that's cool - yes, I will buy 2005 sight and review unseen. This is still the best Golf Ever!

I never knew golf would and could be such an amusing and addictive game. I never had a game where I would play for hours and hours untill the morning, well ... Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 is the first. I recommend this game to everybody, also to them who don't like golf because I didn't like it either untill I played this. I didn't know anything about golf know I WANNA know :p

I have yet to play the game but i am so looking forward to playing that all my mates have just gone and bought it. We were mad tw3 players and i believe we were exceptional at the game. Reading all the reviews so far this looks even better than the previous one. WEhat with the online gaming not working anyhow. ALways brittain last to get it.

This game is horrible. Graphics lousy, game play unfinished, and incredibly easy. I dont recommend this game to anyone. This is a rush job from ea sports, they should have taken more time. Save your money and valuble time, you'll thank me for it. Thoes of you who think this is a great game need to get your head examined.

If u have played and mastered tiger woods 2003, I wouldn't recomend buying this game. The game play is nearly identical to the 2003 version meaning that its too simple. But to the people who have never played 2003 get this game you will spend countless hours on it and then will write how crappy tiger woods 2005 will be.

This game kicks < remove me > at $$ BRUTAL Just doesn't know how to get his caddy tip up and how to read it.This is 10 X better than 2003.I Just bought 2003 2 months ago, but I got hooked and need to see what was to come and got 2004 on relese day and i'm hooked once again. I recomend this game too anyone who likes any video games!!!!
