Ive never played a game like this before, free style moves crossing over and breaking the defenders' ankles great right? but there is still something bad with it, u can only use the shoes on the created player sectioon but not on the edit player section. if u are playing the dyansty mode u better get all the star players on ur team because those teams are really good if u want to get some more point sof shoes and jerseys edit all the player to 99% and vs the bucats team.

i've given the game an eight. a solid score. however, one thing stops this game from being the best and that is NBA2K4. don't get me wrong, NBA live 2004 is good fun. freestyle is fluid and the number of options you can tinker with are a plus. it's unfortunate that a game be measured by it's competition, but that is the way it is. Live is still so easy. i've played games where i did nothing but dunk...read that again. i did nothing but dunk! shot like 70% from the floor!? what is this? playing two player is good times but you still can't defend anyone and, again, 2K4 has the better 2 player mode. the games can be competitive on live, but with no defense. where as, on 2K4, you have to look for open shots. you can't slash the lane through a 2-3 zone with 2 defenders on the other side and not expect any resistance. in summation, live is fun. it just so happens 2K4 is available, requires more thought, is more like actual basketball and...and...ughh. i'm tired now.

This is the best basketball game i have ever played on XBOX. It has eveything the new offball player and the new way you can either dunk or shoot sepeateley. The new dynasty mode is the best. This games is the best i suggest everyone should play this game. I only have one word for this game "awsome".

This game has imporved HUGH over the last year. The 10 man freesstyle, controlling the off man, more realistic, wicked old school and new school jerseys for all the teams this game is hype. You cab collect money to help imporve your players indivuallay or as a team take your rookies aside and make then into superstars. More challenging to play, you can't just run at the hoop now you must create your space and find the open man just like the real thing. You can also trade away draft pick, package in a 3 team deal. Buy diffrent kicks from TMacs to Jordans for your players. Only a few bad things: CPU is less active with trades amongest teams , music is ok and player overall evalution is weird players like Vince is reated 82 in 2004 when last yeat he was rated 92 that I dont get. Lebron Is ok in the game and Carmelo is good.

with live 04 you can buy items for the team such as shoes, cloths,exe. you can also take your team to camp and by the way the shoes are not fake you can buy nike shox the new vc's so much more game play is great with so many new opitions.

This game was awesome except one thing may upset some people. When you start the first season, LeBron james and some other rokkies only have an overall rating in the 60s. It may take a few seasons to get him better. I simulated some and now hes at an 86.

A big improvement from last year but, they improved the wrong features. Same graphics as 2003. It is still run and gun basketball. Going on a 26-0 run in 1 min 5 sec is a little unrealistic. O.K. there is defense this year but, that can be torched with the all new hop step/power dribble move(it works every time). The gameplay must be bad if you have to change settings like game speed, boundary force field(what is that?) and fatigue effect. They should just leave it as rookie,starter, allstar and superstar. The rosters are current as of 9/12/03(current?). A plus is the dynasty mode. They took a page out of Madden this year. I like the training mode, improving your players by picking what kind of training they get is great. I've stopped playing it and started simulating. Don't get me wrong,it is fun if you like And 1 basketball and like hanging court after every miss , but not me i like real basketball. You wonder why hot sauce and main event are not in the Nba. I can't say that I've seen anyone in the Nba doing any of that freestyle stuff why, because an Nba defender with strip him. If they would concentrate on gameplay and not soundtrack, this might be a good game, but as for me, the last live that I enjoyed was 2002. The soundtrack is tight w/ mobb deep,da brat; but i want to play the game not listen to it during the menu screen. I like Marv Albert and the Czar with the play by play that is to the "T" with the action, no delays or anything. The bottom line is that this game is not for me because there are way too many dunks and not enough half court baskestball.
