Madden is starting to get so so boring and its the same thing year after year. But espn nfl football is so much better. With the first person mode it brings a whole new meaning to football sims. you might start seeing more and more first person modes in sport sims in the future. i recommend this game more than any other football game out there.

Espn nfl is the best football game out beacus of its realism and gameplay its far better than madden2004 I own espn and played madden in espn running the ball is alot more realistic and easier also when you cutback in espn it does a fluent cutback instead of madden when your player actually stops and turns like a zombie the juking is alot better and you can use the right analog stick to juke or studder step. the Franchise mode is not as good as madden but pretty close the draft is alot more realistic and the scouting is to. The crib is awsome to way better than madden cards. Espn is by far the best football game out there

O man! Puts Madden to shame. I played Madden at a friends house, and to be very honest, didn't like it. I think the way ESPN goes about making its games is sooooo much better. The halftime shows, and before the game chats, really bring the feeling of a real ESPN broadcast to life. Also, the new "crib" option is so insane. The way u can decorate your home or crib to your liking is unbelievable.(Personally I'm a Pats fan.) Overall, 10 stars. Graphics were beautiful, gameplay stunning, and soud and music perfect. Keep that S*** up ESPN. BUY THIS FRICKEN GAME U WILL NOT BE SORRY!

I love football, I love watching it playing it and playing sims of it, and this by far is the most realistic football game i have ever seen. The tackles, the passes, the rushes are all fine tuned to perfection, I recommend this game to anyone who is sick of the unrealism of Madden and other games like it, and who like football. GO RAIDERS!!!

I hate madden for one reason and one reason only and that is the way the players move its like they are sliding . All madden games have always been like that I dont know how madden players just ignore this aspect as if it doesnt exist. Sliding , out of control , unreal, 60 yard avg. passing plays cmon .. just call me the madden hater....

Ive been playin madden for years, and i have to say when my friend lend me espn for the first time, i did not want to give it back. This game is fantastic, from the players celebrating after the touchdowns to the hard gameplay in both offence and defence, Cause face it im tired of dominating the franchise in madden, this game makes you play your hardest to win, and sometimes your wish of winnig is not granted.

I have played madden 2004 and if Espn and Sega Keep making games like this i will never even look at a madden game again. This is by far the most realistic game i have played. Runnng is fun especially in 1st person. They got every little detail in 2K4 if you are running and there's an offensive lineman blocking in fro of u and there no where to go go strait into the lineman and the running back pushes on the lineman just like in real life. Madden doesnt compete, especially gameplay. Defense is more life-like everything is better. graphics and sound are amazing esecially on my big screen. there are many new options this year including: First person(takes some getting used to but fun once u ge thehang of it), The crib(place where u can unlock stuff like air hockey, paper football, ESPN commercials, soundtracks, bobbleheads, furniture, trophies, and even a football trivia game), and even a virtual football reference book that states the basics of football(for people like madden fans who dont know aything about the sport). Franchise mode is great not as in depth as madden but deep enuff for most fans. Basicaly if u want to be a GM take madden, but if u actually want to play the game of FOOTBALL take 2K4.

Personaly I own both Madden 2004 and ESPN Football, the gameplay, graphics and realism are so much better in ESPN. Madden has not changed much over the years, except add Owner Mode and things of that sort. I don't play the games for that. I play them for realism of the sport, I play football at the College Level and ESPN is way more realistic.

This is BY FAR the BEST football game i have ever...EVER played. I have been a MADDEN fan since the early...EARLY 90's (91 or 92)and up until then it WAS my favorite. But, when i got a look at thoes sharp azz graphics and the the most impressive game play ever, I was "taken" and if there are any "true" football gamers out there (who don't fall for FLUFF) I think you yould agree with me too. To summ it all up...

i just bought espn football, and i have to say that it is the all time best football game ever released. After getting used to it, the first person view is an amazing feature for anyone who has ever played before. It does take time to get used to. another great game from espn

the game is great, it looks awesome, the gameplay its +great, the presentation its pretty damn cool, the few flaws i found are the create a player and the load and save part.... why? cuz i expected the create a player option to be in the front menu.. but no its kinda hide, and if u want to use your create player on season mode u first have to save your roster option otherwise u wont be able of play with it... but the rest its awesome, the unifroms, the historic teams... man u can even edit the historic teams, so u can play as joe montana with the 49´s or the 93 chiefs, or marino with the 85 dolphins etcc.. and the players looks normal not as in madden 2004 where the player looks with a big head and a tiny bodyˇˇ totally freakˇˇ
