Great game, still needs a little work! |

I love the game and all of the feature that are in it, it is the features left out that I don't like about this game. You should be able to play in the All-Star game in dynasty mode and you can't. Also, when you reach a milestone, there could be more of a big deal made like say something on the scoreboard or even the announcers could say more. Along the same lines, it should make a big deal when you brake a record. Other than that I love the ending, best ending ever. Excellent job on the create a player option, but you should be able to create players as you go along and place them on your dynasty team, or at least in the free agent list and get them from there. The general manager mode is cool, but it takes so long to get Upgrade points that the announcers(who are great) start complaning about it. When all of these kinks are worked out, and you haven't taken anything out, it will be the best hockey game of all time.

i love this game so much i played it for 5hours long!! what i like the most is creat a team. I have told my freinds about this game and the all liked it to. i think it lacks in gameplay it makes up in the graphics.and i know if you go out and get this game you will be peleasd.and i think it has the beast francise the madden nfl 2004.(the sound is better but still could ues alot more work!)

i have couple hockey games and one of them is NHL 2004, that game is pretty decent. But it has couple pros and cons.
Pluses:
Good Challange i own this game for about 3 weeks, i almost mastered all aspects of the game and i still cant win more then 3 in the row ( my record so far), i alwayas play on at leat medium level and it took me a day or two to get my first win , after abouta week i got my first shutout. ( as a side note usually it takes me couple of weeks to become a champ and in this game it took em three weeks to have .500 record it was like 12-10-5-1)
All new fighting engine is nice no comment but sometimes players who arent fighters fight and enforcer dont fight.( For Example: I have Nazarov and couple more enforcer on my team an dlet say when Nazarov on the ice he doesnt always get challenged( sometimes NAZ can have 3 fights in the game, and sometiem he will go without a game for 4 games) and Hamrlik who is not an enforcer gets challenged almost every game. But that is not a big problem you can switch people around or increase teh agressivness of the play and try to hit harder.
Minuses:
Graphics in teh replay mode i think is nto the best, if i will compare it to NHL 2K3 i prefer the replay of 2k3. And the way players move in the same mode is also better in 2k3.
Passes sometimes really gets me mad, because let say i
m down by 1 and i'm on power play and it could be breakway right now, my plaer opens up i'm passing and puck insted og going to my player will go on the right or left side of him, but its getting predictable after awhile so u can move ur player where puck will be.
Overall it decent hockey game and will be a good choice of people who like to get challenged.

This game stinks on ice put it this way it could be better.The reason I dont like it is becuase even with the hardest level I score alot.The graphics could be a little better. But the sound is great. I do love the gameplay though. I think it needs some work to it, but thats my opinion.

I stopped buying this series after 2000, but I had owned everyone up until then. I'm glad I waited for this one. 2004 is challenging, fun, and loud enough to keep my wife up at night. The GM feature is great, but my team the Blue Jackets need a couple of years to be good. I am impressed with the product. I always play at the hardest settings, so I am still loking for my first win. Thank you EA and Xbox!

NHL 2004 is the best hockey game ever produced by easports and any other company at that. It's faster, harder then all the games in the past. If you are a true hockey fan you must own this game. The graphics are out of this world and the AI is the best. I love the new dynasty mode it makes for such amazing game play. YOU CAN CONTROL EVERYTHING !! If you don't have a copy of this game do yourself a favour and go get one ..... NOW.

I have been playing E.A games N.H.L hockey since the first game came out and every year it get's a little bit harder then the year before you know the it get;s faster the keeper is a little bit tougher, so on and so fourth but this year the hitting is the big thing and it makes the whole game alot harder and better because there is no more crusing with your custom player from end to end this year when you get the puck you be ready to pass or shoot because they are on your ass BANG you are on the ice and of course it faster,harder, and the keeper is a little bit tougher to beat but the hitting makes all those things even harder to cope with if anything you will a little longer before it get's to easy...
This year on top of creating yourself and placing " you " on you fav. team you can create you own team right down to the logo and score board on your custome ice, so you can be yourself on the hartford whalers for ex. ( bring back the whale ) anyway it's a great game go out and spend some money you will not be disapointed............................
