first of all - all of you need to learn how to spell. second - this game rocks and you dont know fun when you see it. for those who "can't find any deer", you must be retarded beyond belief. they put big red dots on the deer; all you have to do is walk over to them. this game is excellent and realistic. most of you lazy bastards would love to just stand in one spot and have the deer walk right up to you. this doesn't happen in real life, so it doesn't happen here. the game gets a 10 out of 10.

okay first of all the whwne you ride the horse or the four wheeler you need to go alot FASTER you go so slow okay and i nkow that it is hard to find a deer but ya know this is a GAME there should be more deer alot more its so lame you cna sit there for like 4 hours and not see a thing but if ya do see one it takes off way to quick and can someone fill me in bout the red dots i dont know what they are? over all i dont really like this game at all and what is the blue dot of the gps launcher ? this game stinks

I think this is a good game if your looking for a good way to waste your time.Yes the worlds are very small.And u cant even find a deer.And if u do,they run away. Needs lots of work.The scenting thing is cool.but u dont get alot. Like the deer hunter game on PC better. U GET TO CALL THEE STUPID DEER

Ok.......... First of all the graphics are wicked.....Worst things: you cant fall 2 feet without dying!!!! The worst thing is the area! the area is the size of my damn back yard. Vehicles are impossible to drive! I hate the warden.. he "rescues" you or "warns" you! its so damn pointless! This game is abit to real except for the red dots (annoying) and the area! Oh yeah.... the game company should get sewed... and when you take ONE step.. the deer runs away!!!its so frustrating... you die easily... its stupid!for those who give this game a 5...YOUR FRIKKIN CRAZY!!!! THIS GAME SUCKS!!!!!

this game needs alot of work,i have to say its one of the most frustrating hunting games on the market,for one the weapon choice blows,the deer are WAY to spooky,and i cant even use a stand without having to be rescued by the warden,and why does this guy need to be rescued when he steps out of the ground blind,and also it sucks that you have to complety exit the ranges to switch weapons,only good thing about this games is the "hi quality" graphics,except fot the small hunting areas you get,the game just gets boring after about 10min,every one has thier oppinions on certain things they like in a game so i suggest you go out and rent it before you buy it,one good game that cabelas has is dangerouse hunts...now that is an awsome game,the weapons are cool and the game is hardcore..congrats on such a good game .i swear the first deer hunter for PC is better then this game,atleast you could lure the deer in

I thought this new addition of deer hunter was average at best. Don't get me wrong, theres some good stuff (graphics, for one) BUT, for me at least, the bad outwieghs the good by far. i absolutely HATE how u cannott lure the deer in. i even tried it on easy mode, with the red dots. i was like thirty feet away from the deer and it completely ignored the calls, etc (the deer was just walking away. and, why the HELL can u not hear the footsteps of the damned things? sighting in the guns is a pain in the ass. i know, i know, its realistic but come on. its a video game. also, and this is the worst, and i mean the WORST. the areas are tiny. i mean, they're tryin to make a realistic game and they've got ares the size of my backyard. but whatever. im just glad i rented this game first, before i bought it

First of to all of u potential gamers, I am doing u a favor. Trust me. Cabela’s Deer hunter 2004 has gotta be one of my BIGGEST gaming disappointments of all time. In all fairness, my expectations were pretty high. I should have expected less. The areas are small, I mean tiny, I mean almost non-existent. Ever thought about what ur backyard would be like if it was filled up with trees? DH 2004 nails it dead on. The deer are smart, smart enough to run as soon as they catch so much as a wiff of your sent, but not smart enough to run in the OPPOSITE direction of you. Yep. I had a deer run right into me. Sincerely. I had the barrel of my gun to the damned things head. And this game is realistic? Oh there tricky alright. Step on a twig, they’re gone. Fire a blast from your 30.06 rifle, they don’t run unless u put the bullet mere inches from there face. And not even the most legendary of trophy bucks would not have distracted me from taking at shot at that game warden, are whatever the hell he is. This guy is continuously “rescuing” you. And if he’s not rescuing u, he’s “warning” u. I honestly think I should sue cabela for false advertisement. “Most realistic deer hunter game ever!” uh man, a deer ran right into me. And calling those landscapes realistic is like saying Pamela Andersons breasts are real. But ne how, I say no more but three words……. THIS GAME SUCKS!

while deer hunter 2004 appears good, it is not. This is why it sucks.
1. u get injured every time u fall 3 feet or more
2. the areas are so small it is incedible. u would think its kinda cheap havin like ten deer runnin around in an area the size of someones back yard
3. playin with the red dots makes u feel like a retard
4. playin without the red dots makes u want to put your foot through the tv screen
5. the guy must be like 300 pounds r something, he can't run 5 feet without getting tired. im surpised u can't bring donuts along on the hunt for this fat mess
I would write more, but theres a 200 word limit. so'll sum it up. the game, though it has good graphics is pure unrealistic crap. Period.

i was dissapointed for a couple of reasons
1. you know how in dh2,3, etc for the pc u can actually here the deers footsteps, therefore helping u to locate them? well no more. u just sorta have to hope that by some fluke u actually spot one before it sees u and bolts.
2. though the graphics are good, this game is just not fun. sorry. the areas are just too small for it to be really realistic. u can hve the red dots on, but thats boring as hell. the other way is really challenging at first. then it get boring too. areas hve GOT to be bigger, in real life u wouldn't deer in an area the size of someones backyard.

scott, u definetely need to get out more. these landscapes are tiny and pathetic compard to the pc. its not hard when ur hunting deer in an area the size of an average school field. the game is average at best. i expected more, for some reason. at least make it so the deer aren't so jumpy. its no fun when u can't lure the deer in, u can only get em by fluke. thats no fun. other than that, grpahics alright, etc. i dunno its a good game but like i said i just though the way everyone was talking about it would bne way better

For the people that don't think that this game is fun and cool, you're wrong. The vehicles could use a bit more work, but you should be hunting the deer, not riding in the vehicles. You should make so you can shoot other gaming animals in the game. For instance, charging bears or wolves. The graphics are great. The sound when the bullet hits the deer or when the deer falls are awesome. When you fall down a hill, you shouldnt be able to die that easily. In reality would that actually happen? As soon as you play the gae the first time, you're hooked to it. You can sit in front of the television and play it all day if you wanted to.

Jennifer is right, even though she is talking about BGH 2004 Season, the game play is frustrating, you can't have the dots on higher levels, you arn't allowed to crawl on your hands and knees, only walk when you are crouched down a little bit. And being allowed to use your cover scent once is really cheap, then there is no sneaking up on animals, they are to parinoid.

Deer Hunt 2004 is defineatly a step up from Big Game Hunter! Only I'm still bothered by the Tracking! It's almost too realistic for a video game. If the tracking was a bit easier there would be no reason for the dots. I hate the dots, but I found that playing without them can be very frustrating. If I'm going to spend that much time looking for a deer, I want to actually be in the field and not in front of my television.

in the hunts.You can take off the red dot if you want but if you need help you can keepit on.The deer are spread out because
thats what makes it real.Deer are not always all together.

This game is everything I expected it to be. It has excellant graphics, easy gun and movement controls. Driving in the game is difficult and I only wish that there would be more deer in the land you hunt. Thats about the only things I found not perfect in the game. But you can hunt hunt all over the country which makes up for the shortage of deer. The shortage of deer just might be me so don't rely on my word. But overall, this game is perfect 10!

If you like hunting you'll love the game, THIS GAME ROCKS! I recommend it for anyone even if you dont hunt. In this game you can practically go anywhere. Its not like Cabela's Big Game hunter you can actually sneak up on the deer. This game is cool.

Aside from the poor control and sound of the vehicals, 2004 season is an excelant game. The animal reactions are good, as well as their habits. The levels are beautifuly designed and the sound has greatly improved from previous games. The use of decoys, calls and lures work in this game and it makes it alot easier to sit back and enjoy the hunt. Good Job Cabelas.... I agree that it would be fun to shoot some of the non-game animals for the cabin too, even if it was a side quest.

Jennifer's on crack! This game is AWESOME!! I think the realizm is perfect, the fact that you can roam such a huge landscape is cool, and the behavioral patterns of the deer is perfect. The vehicles could use a little bit of work, but I personally bought the game to kill deer, not go offroading. The game is perfection!

this game was very easy to learn and play and the only reason the red dots are there is because you have it on easy.the graphics are great though. the sound could be better the vehicles sound lame the fact that it doesent have multiplayer like deer hunter on the pc i dont like either. the only other flaw is that you cant shoot hogs and bears and armadillos coons or squirels or any thing like that and put it in your log cabin too it might just be me but i think that would be cool.

I dont know what Jennifer was talking about. The game is great and if you increase the diff. those little red dots go away, also you can use the scent as much as you want!!! This is by far 1 of the better hunting games ive played its easy to play with the controler 9 different types of deer and over 90 rack configurations the game is great and playable for hours!!! congrats to cabelas and funlabs.
