Hardest shot contest...how to shoot?? |
| Brent from San Diego, USA says (3/Dec/2003): |
Anyone know how to shoot in the hardest shot contest in the skills competition? I have no idea how to work that one and the computer keeps kicking my butt. Also, how do you unlock or obtain soundtracks in the skybox area? I think the game overall is exceptional. I like the features and the opportunity of unlocking and using more jerseys..and the players look great too.

Besst Hockey Game Ever |
| A gamer from N.Y. USA says (25/Nov/2003): |
I think this is one of the best hockey games I have ever played. I used to buy ea games like madden, nhl, etc. But now I buy espn games. There are some minor glitches, but I like the game(and one thing i like is the glass breaks, but not to often, i did it once).

Answer to one of the the minor problems stated in the other post |
| A gamer from Detroit, MI says (9/Oct/2003): |
Well, if you were any type of a hockey fan, you would already know that the NHL has changed their jerseys around this year. Dark for home games and white for away games, like football. Watch a game on TV once in a while. I do have to agree with you on one thing though. They have really outdone EA over the last two years.

Ok if you dont know this year the nhl hockey jerseys have switched dark home white road , heres the deal. This is bar none the best sports game ever. better than anything EA Sports has ever done. With that being said this game will keep you occupied for hours. Besides having the best franchise option in any sports game, the mini-games and skills competition alone make it worth the price of admission. The on-line play is fantastic too. the deke moves are unlike anything that has come before. I cant say enough about how good ESPN NHL Hockey is. The passing of the torch has occured and ESPN video games is definatly the leader in the industry. EA SPORTS better look at their competion becasue FINALLY there is a company that can compete with EA and be better.

Amazing game..few problems |
| Jonas81 from Belleville, Ontario, CAN says (3/Oct/2003): |
I used to love the EA Hockey games, but last year I gave NHL 2K3 a try and loved it...even though there were a few problems. This years game is even better than last year...it is by far the best hockey game i've ever played. There are a few problems though that are making me really mad. If this game is so realistic then why does it have the jerseys mixed up? The white ones are supposed to be for home games not away....this little problem is driving me crazy. Also why can I not adjust the injury settings? People get hurt every single game (which I think is too much). The last thing is a problem that's been carried over from last year. Why is it that when you trade a player or sign a free agent that guys number changes no matter what? Even if no one else has the number it still changes? Anyways...like I said besides these minor problems this game RULES!!!! Alright that's all.
