groan/barf | | Scraps from Texas says (10/Feb/2004): | The graphics are better then most, but that is the only thing that is really good about this game. There is no stratagy, and the graphics are really just as good as Mario 64. The game is about as interesting as a turtle trying to right itself. It is the same thing over and over and over.......etc. There are far too little weapons in the game, and the most annoying things in the game are the large amounts of ring wraths. The whole game is about a bunch of idiot dwarves that are always being caught, and a "thief" that couldn't steal a penny from a blind, deaf, mute, extremely weak midget that couldn't write. The best thing about this game is that every once in awhile there are battles that have someone to cover your back. The game is just a cheap rip-off of a book that was made by gamecube which (sorry to the fans) I hate! You can't play as multiplayer and it has no connection to Xbox live. So, I say to you loyal fans of the Lord of the Rings, stay away from this game, for even the best of the games could not rub off enough fun to save this hopeless wreak.
Signing off, Scraps.
| It has potential | | A gamer says (1/Jan/2004): | The Hobbit is a game for the PS2,XBox, and GameCube. The game is pretty interesting if you have read the book. But if you have not the game provides a basic story(It has pictures,a narrator and everything). The gameplay is alright but could use some improvement. One thing that seemed weird to me though was that after you finished the level with spiders(bare with me I forgot the level name) they showed up randomely throughout the game. But I guess you have to make the game more interesting.Anyways The Hobbit is a cool game with decent graphix and a good story(Obviously since they were using another story).
